Its no shame to lose to a man like williams. WELL DONE
2. Williams publicly stood up for Peer last year
Z   (02.19.10)
when she could have kept quiet like so many other players, and she has shown nothing but respect and courtesy toward Peer throughout. She's a great tennis player and a good person. Peer played amazingly in Dubai, despite the incredible pressure that she was under, and it is to be hoped that she will continue to play amazing tennis, getting better and better in upcoming tournaments. The best of luck to both women. They both deserve it.
3. its better that she lost
(02.19.10)
if she'd take the final, they would boo her out linking her with the assissination... or maybe even throw tomatos and other vegetables.
4. the rehab continues
palestinian ,   jerusalem ,palestine   (02.20.10)
she came in from the window ..not welcomed really .. and she will leave there the same way .. in our culture ,when you show up for a party uninvited ,we call you a shamless . israelis need a lot to learn from us beside Falafel ,and hummus and koufias ... the rehab of the gypsies in life basics will continue .

6. #4 You're not too intelligent are you?

"in our culture ,when you show up for a party uninvited ,we call you a shamless" Trust me, your backward and murderous Islamofascist culture is nothing to be proud of. The Dubai tennis tournament is not a private party for which you need an invitation. It is a tennis tournament where everyone qualified enough has the right to attend! Just like the olympics. And Shahar has more than justified her presence there - reaching the semifinals is an amazing feat. If Dubai wants to continue to attract westerners and western money, and maintain the prestigious reputation of its tennis tournament - then it must act as a cultured society, rather than Islamofascist normality you are used to.
7. #4 you clearly don't get it.

If you want to host a high-level sporting event, then you must accept the best players, even if they are from countries that you don't like. The US and USSR welcomed each other's athletes for decades, despite the Cold War. Peer is clearly one of the top 10 players in the world. She has earned her place in top-level tournaments. Any tournament that refuses to welcome her is nothing more than a second-rate, unprofessional farce, and will be treated as such by international tennis. Last year, Dubai screwed up badly. This year, they were much more professional, and instead of looking like rank amateurs, they hosted an exciting tournament that received a lot of media attention. Global science and technology are similar. If you want top-level science and medicine, then you need to welcome the best people, even if they happen to be Israelis. For years, many Arab societies have been doing everything possible to prevent their scientists and physicians from collaborating with top Israeli scientists and doctors. The result is that Arabs die all the time from heart problems that Israeli surgeons could have cured; and while Arab academics bemoan the scarcity of top-level science in Arab universities, the Israelis with whom they refuse to collaborate are leading the way in nanotech, solar and medical imaging technologies. So if you're trying to say that Jews should learn to be spiteful, self-defeating bigots like you, then you're making a mistake. You're the one who needs to learn from us ;-)
8. to #4 in your cultur women don't get much respect
ghostq   (02.21.10)
cause the male Israeli Tennis players didn't had that much trouble to go to Dubi. and jews r not nomadic, bedouin Arabs r, jews came from Judeh, Arabs came from Arabia. see how simple it is.
9. Thank You Shahar! Thank you Venus!
(02.21.10)
To Shahar Pe'er all honor you were amazing!!!!! To Venus all honor to a true sportswoman last year you protested Dubai because of their decision against our girl Shahar. and this year even though you won, in your speech you did not forget Shahar and Israel! Thank you for this and may the G-d of Israel continue to bless and protect our Shahar and our Venus!!!!! Go girls! :)

They are both great. I wish them both many successes. May the best woman win!
11. Athletes should have their DNA checked to see if they are
Rivkah   (02.22.10)
entirely male or female or human. Fallen angels are co-habiting with human females like in the days before the Great Flood of Noah. Such progeny are beautiful, strong, athletic, powerful, often totally immoral and could populate whole villages with their illegitimate offspring (some basketball players and certainly Tiger Woods if his many mistresses did not use birth control). Humans should compete against other humans, not against half human hybrids called Nephillim and Rephillim in the Bible.

as an iranian muslim, i have to say that i feel sorry when i have to tell you this, but, THERE IS NOTHING THAT THE CIVILIZED EDUCATED AND ADVANCED WORLD CAN LEARN FROM YOUR CULTURE. YOU ARABS NEED THE WEST AND ALL ITS ADVANCEMENTS, INCLUDING ISRAEL, WHO IS TOPS IN SCIENCE. MEDICINE AND HIGH TECH TECHNOLOGIES MUCH MORE THAN ISRAEL WILL EVER NEED YOU. IT PAINS ME TO TELL YOU THIS. BUT THE SLAADIN DAYS ARE OVER AND YOU STILL LIVE IN THE 6TH CENTURY, UNFORTUNATELLY. NOTHING WE CAN KEARN FROM THE 6TH CENTURY, MY FRIEND. BUT YOU, HAVE LOTS TO LEARN FROM US HERE IN THE WEST. it is your inflated pride that won't let you realize how backwards you arabs are in everything. hameed aboughaze, iranian
