that was established in 1887 on the east jerusalem, it belong to jews, that is a fact, what r you planning to do? since those lands belong to jews, it's right next to shek jarah village but palis want those lands to themselves, before 67 they kicked the jews from there and plunder their houses including the synagougs, sold the bible books they stolen I saw a pic from 1948. well tell them to bring those back. if they didn't destroyed the books.

I'm deeply sorry to reveal this, but in fact, Tel Aviv has ALREADY been called settlement, and it's not really new. They could change their charters (which they still haven't done yet !), but not their aims. By the way, i'm always suprised finding people who think that the Kotel Hamaaravi is a "settlement"... "aaaaaaarg, this is awful, a 2000 years old jewish settlement"

36. Tiny Israel
Sick of the Left ,   Israel   (02.22.10)
Just look on a world globe and see the land area the Arab nations have, and the teeny tiny sliver of land that is Israel. The Moslems do not want us here at all, even if all of Israel took up only one street. I'm so tired of the Left...they believe that we can have peace if we give away land. If we listen to them, what will be left? Answer: nothing.
37. #3, #6
R ,   Israel   (02.22.10)
There are a lot of emotions here concerning Europe's treatment of Jews in WWII and the double standard applied to Israel today, but I do appreciate what you said; you sound like someone with an open mind. I wonder if #6 even read to the end.
38. To #35
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (02.22.10)
Well, damn'! Sometimes it seems that 300 million people don't have anything better to do than to tell 7 million Jews in tiny Israel how to do what, when, where, how, with whom, to whom and how often. Israelis waste too much time paying attention to outside BS, when they, like everybody else, should use that time to bicker among themselves. I often wonder how long there'd be an Israel, if the asshats and f---tards of the world weren't scared to death of what those intractable Jews may or may not have stashed in and around Dimona. (Just a 10 year supply of pomegranates would be hilarious) To quote the lyrics of an old Rick Nelson song, "You see, ya can't please everyone, so you gotta please yourself."
39. jumping on the bandwagon of antisemitism
Krzysztof ,   Warsaw, Poland   (02.22.10)
has apparently become so trivial and automatic for some talkbackers. I found I was nearly accused of ... being conceived on the stolen Jewish bed or ... being the mouthpiece of xenophobic right-wing Radio Maryja... O what morons... o what narrow horizons... I AM half Jewish. I live in Poland. You should look at your mirror after what you accused me of... (btw #37 thank you for your fresh air) And because I am a target of antisemitism by some rightwing Poles, I am for many many years in the middle of this dispute, Israel included. I am _not_ as any other 500 million european citizens who knows nothing about the issue. Just after thousands of discussions and quarrels on the forums I simply sense, what is explainable which way (more or less). You will not explain to anybody the good reasons for Israel using Biblical stories, simply because 2500-years-old stories are irrelevant for many of those people. Some things are nonstarters. You should rather start from the Arab invasion of 1967 and their terrorism, Hamas' publicly stated 20-years old policy to torpedo negotiations. Say that the problem is not that you don't want to give West Bank away, but that for decades there was noone to give it to, such that your right to live in peace is not questioned. Surprise someone with artists like Yasmin Levy, Avishai Cohen, Asaf Avidan. Tell about outstanding achievements of green economy. Say that singers like Ivry Lider would be decapitated everywhere in the ME, but not in Israel. Things like those. And never ever automatically jump at this stupid antisemitism bandwagon, just because there is someone from Poland saying something. This is the biggest counter-advertisement you can mane. Good luck

and one thing more about Golan. Dont' make impression that it has to be controlled all the time, because you risk being branded as invader. In anything you say there should be some sign of good will for peace with neighbours, in very general. You can say for example that you could give away Golan to Syria, but they must cease smuggling weapons to Hezbollah which in turn fires katyushas at your children - and syrian presidents never wanted such a deal: the opposite happens...

Any land gained in a defensive war is legitamate. Ring or no ring.

For what it's worth and whenever someone calls you a name, here's in English, what my mother, in German, drilled into my head a long time ago, when I was a very young Mischling: "Until they stand you against the wall and shoot you, what others say, think, and do has no bearing on who and what you know you are." Once you realize that's true, you can sit back and either chuckle at the irritations your mere exixtence seems to produce in some people or feel sorry for them. Since I have a little mean streak, I prefer to chuckle, which sets them off even worse :-).
43. Jewish liars?
steve ,   Canada   (02.22.10)
So Israelis don't mind if their government makes Jews look like liars and kooks? I guess not.

46. to 22
(02.24.10)
you expect the people of israel to risk their country, their lives and lives of their children based on unproven belief??? and what if they don't change? you'll just go "oooops" on our graves? we gave them land - do you see them doing anything good with it? i see only terrorism, please point out differently.
47. history lesson:
shay ,   nethania israel   (02.27.10)
since the bible and untill the 10th century the golan was a part of israel
48. so what was here in history for your opinion?
shay ,   nethania israel   (02.27.10)
49. i want to answer this one
shay ,   nethania israel   (02.27.10)
first of all in the october Riots the arab israelies tried deliberately to block some main axis and by this allowing the syrian army to attack israel. second, this is the israeli publicity not the palastinian one. the arabs operates a very powerful propaganda machine (soported by oil) in the palestinian publicity you will here about the 13 as much as you like (and u've heard about them alot) did the arab publicity told you about all the innocent jewish victims in israel? no!
50. because those 500M leave there in europe
shay ,   nethania israel   (02.27.10)
not here in israel not just they understand nothing in this conflict, the've also prooved that they have a very short memory about who started this conflict and why. so why should israel count the europinians?
