31. #5 - It's called "appeasement of terrorists"
William ,   Israel   (02.26.10)
You've only listed the countries that have already rolled over and appeased their growing Muslim population, both by protecting the rights of Muslims in their respective countries to incite violence and by attacking Israel to help appease them. Those you didn't mention will be affected by this report - namely those in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars - UK, Germany, France, Denmark, Italy, Canada...and then there are those fighting their own local non-State entities, like Yemen, Saudi Arabia, China, Pakistan, India, etc. Imagine the glee of Al-Qaeda in Yemen being able to hide behind civilians to attack govt forces and Yemen/Saudi Arabia not being able to act because Goldstone is being hung over there heads. But that's probably a farcical situation, because Arabs don't care about Intl Law nor would anyone consider bringing them to task while they sit on so much petrol.
32. #17 - And as always - where is your proof
William ,   Israel   (02.26.10)
You make all these claims that the use of human shields by the IDF is a standard operating procedure. Can you prove this? Not only that it is used but that it is a standard policy, either written or used commonly by the IDF. each claim: 1) No true. only several times have "Pals" been used to knock on doors or call out to armed men inside, mostly because they know them as neighbors, friends, or family. Not used as shields, and not limited to women or older teenagers (not kids). 2) When did this ever happen? I never heard of an incident when the IDF used Hamas/Taliban tactics of standing behind "pal" civilians while targeting terrorists. I bet you haven't either. 3) Please give examples. Certainly wasn't the case in Jenin, Cast Lead, or other heavy conflicts. 4) You mean you're angry because the IDF did NOT throw the family out into the street during an armed conflict? Hmm - if they did, you'd cry war crime, because they didn't you cry war crime. The fact is they kept the family in the bottom floor while the IDF went to the top floor, ergo - any return fire from terrorists would be directed far away from the civilian family in the building. In addition, maybe the IDF should practice assymetrical warfare - take off their uniforms and blend in, fire rockets indescriminately into civilian areas at any time, and send in a brigade of donkeys ladened with explosives all over Gaza and WB. Oh, but then you'd claim that wasn't fair...using Hamas tactics.
33. Why should only the West be subjected to Goldstone?
William ,   Israel   (02.26.10)
Sri Lankans killed thousands in their quest to quell the Tamil rebels. China killed many in the Muslim NW and Tibet. That's just a few in THAT part of the world that no one seems to put focus on. For some reason, there is jealousy in power and always a need to bring it down. But history shows us - SE Asia, Arab ME, Asia, and Central Asia hae given rise to many despitc regimes who have killed hundreds of thousands of civilians wontonly, and it still happens today in many places. These places also sported regimes that were colonialists and involved in the slave trade. Ever hear of Chinese East Africa?? The Arabs too had a huge East African slave trade, with Saudi Arabia finally outlawing it (on the books, not in practice) only 10 years ago. If Goldstone has any implications it should be global wide. If it was, it would never see light...as it shouldn't have.
