3. Netanyahu & Dagan to be Wanted internationally
observer   (02.27.10)
Head of Dubai Police said: "I call on Dagan to be man of honor and shoulder the responsibility". Both Dubai and other countries involved in the fake passport affair should collaborate together to bring to justice those who breached the law against them. Now they had finger prints and DNA evidence, all suspects will be on the hunt lists in the airports around the globe.
4. Australia 'not satisfied' with Israel response
Chris Amos ,   Lismore Australia   (02.27.10)
If allegations that suspected Mossad assassins have stolen Australian passport identities are correct, that means that the state of Israel has jeopardised the lives and welfare of Australian citizens outside Australia's borders. If these allegations are proven true, the Australian Government will have no alternative but to review its relations with Israel.

8. why air-port-only check of suspects?
observer   (02.27.10)
because Israel has no ground and almost no or limited sea access to the outside world.
9. One Down
Moshe Quartorze ,   Metulla, Israel   (02.27.10)
A fascinating media story, though this will fade away and a good result for Israel and the civilised world. One terrorist eliminated.
10. Beautiful work!
Koby Mazafi ,   Tel Aviv   (02.27.10)
Australia hinting at reducing intelligence cooperation with Israel? Who are they kidding? There is no evidence against Israel, only suspicion - which is a beautiful deterrence. A job well done.
11. Where do USA and UK stand against Terrorists?
Wane UluTange ,   PNG   (02.27.10)
Enough has been said against Israel for the killing of the so-called commander of the Hamas terrorists in Dubai recently. Great countries like UK and USA are putting pressure against Israel on the killing of the terrorist commander. If the bunch of US leaders so concerned about killing of the terrorist then why is the US so concerned and wasting all resources and looking for Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden. So far US with the NATO forces have killed so many innocent people including children of Afghanistan. Is the so-called UN and the International Human Rights groups have concern for the daily lost of Afghan lives in the bully acts of the US and the NATO Forces? Can Afghanistan government and people continue to allow this happen? if US is so concerned of terrorists like Mabhouh, why other countries waste their time and efford blindly supporting US and NATO to hunt for terrorist. There must be fairness and Honesty rather than bully tactics with unrealistic motives. Where do US and UK stand against Terrorists?
12. dubai
shraga ,   vancouver, canada   (02.27.10)
I would like to see an investigation into dubai role in the story, why dubai helps known terrorist.
13. Israelis should learn a lesson
Dan ,   Auckland,Aotearoa   (02.27.10)
Regardless of your involvement, you will be found guilty in the "court of public opinion" and your names will be dragged through the mud. You are guilty even if found innocent. Given all that, next time you might as well do the deed, since you will be blamed for it regardless.
14. a world of cowards...
stephane ,   france   (02.27.10)
britons send police to inquire... australian still upset... french or irish unhappy... booooooo! poor spoiled eurbians ! they're crying because israel eliminated an archi-terrorist ! they cry like if al mabhouh was a big peace seeker in the middle east... where have been all these cowards when al mabhouh was traveling freely around the world ? as long as he organize death for israeli al mabhouh was not a problem for those countries, but when israel defend itself the whole world talk. this is a world of dhimmis and cowards! i'm proud of israel, proud to be jew, the only country and people who resist to terror. the cowards should better inquire in afghanistan about the strike by nato of 33 civilians ( men women kids ) killed last week by " mistake " as i said last week. GOD BLESS ISRAEL AND THANK YOU FOR THESE GREAT JOB.

"very complex and security intelligence matters" Yes Kev, but get your priorities right..
16. #1
Eng. ,   Israel   (02.27.10)
I don't recall anyone has any proof that it was the job of Israeli agents. Anyone in the world can forge a passport. Dubai has no hard evidence, only speculations.
17. Most Australians support Israel
Andy ,   New Zealand   (02.27.10)
Mr, Rudd is a member of the leftist elite, generally pro islamic and anti Israel. He will be thrown out off office soon enough by the Australians. It amazes me that nobody protests against those arab countries (UAE) who are obviously harbouring murderers and terrorists traveling on false pasports (Mabhouh has several arab passports). Is it surprising that the ummah will 'condemn' terrorism and the use of false passports in public but harbours muslim murderers and terrorists with false passports?
18. Upset
Andy ,   New Zealand   (02.27.10)
Are you afraid of upsetting the Arabs? What are you suggesting? The Arabs are all members of the religion of peace... You can feel the love and peace in Indonesia, Lebanon, Sudan, Nigeria, Liberia, Egypt, Pakistan, Cronella...etc...etc...
19. #4 U know what's ur problem?
Aboriginal ,   ME   (02.27.10)
U and ur government are thinking only on one scenario e.i. mossad involvement. In case others did it e.g. mi6, CIA, Iranians, Jordanians, pallis etc. u would see no problem at all.
20. Mossad's guilt
Robert ,   Brisbane, Australia   (02.27.10)
How long will it be before Mossad guns down another innocent Moroccan waiter?
21. STUPID HAMAS DIDNT TAKE ITS REVANGE, YET ?
Atilla Karagözoğlu   (02.27.10)
what I want ? I WANT HAMAS TAKES THE REVANGE. THATS ALL. NO HEART BREAKE PLEASE.
22. Innocent until proven guilty
Gary ,   SA   (02.27.10)
Isnt the basis of our Western Laws innocent until proven guilty. Over the past few weeks alot of speculation. Lets look at the facts 1) 7 out of 26 "assassins" used passports of where there was duel citizenship - one of them being Israeli. - Where are the other 19 from ? 2) Austria was used for the logistics and financing 3) Two of the agents fled through Iran of all places (Iran is so paranoid at the moment they would probably arrest someone with a Japanese accent thinking they were Israeli) 4) They have very little proof of who/ which group etc carried out the hit other than they had forged passports - so did the dead Terrorist btw So wheres the proof - Motive - sure Israel had motive - but then so did many other groups. The Killer - No proof The Weapon - Speculation at best So really Mr Rudd and all else - where is Innocent until proven guilty - and you are not Satisfied ??

24. 13 makes an excellent point
The Dude   (02.27.10)
It's a catch 22, everyone complained about 'disproportionate force' in Cast Lead. So in this case we went and put multiple agents in harms way to assassinate a terrorists in which the no innocent bystander was hurt. Zero collateral damage, in any other countries case this would be lauded as a text book way of removing terrorists. But in Israel's case, it will be blamed either way, so put simply no apologizes, no regret, and no mercy!
25. Let Rudd PROVE it wasMossad.Even Al Cluseau is only 99% sure
(02.27.10)
26. Kevin Rudd prefers to see Jewish blood flowing!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (02.27.10)
Mr. Rudd, why don;t you ask the real question: What was a commander of a terrorist organization doing in Dubai with their full knowledge? Again, another country has joined the choir of Israel Bashing but this time it is a country that has a miserable history of human rights against the the people whose land they stole and occupy to this day! Mr. Rudd, go and tell the families of those killed in the Bali attack, your people, that the death of a terrorist is a crime! Mr. Rudd, we the people of Israel who regarded Australia as friend, are shocked and disgusted at your condemnation of our country without any evidence of our involvement. We all know that the Muslims have no respect for human life and could have killed Mabhouh just for the sake of humiliating and maligning Israel! Your attitude is no doubt a weak attempt to appease the Muslims in Austrailia after your tirade about the way of life in Australia!
27. Australia's position (#19)
Chris Amos ,   Lismore Australia   (02.27.10)
Let's be very clear about one thing. It does not matter who did it! A CRIMINAL ACT has occured, There has been a VIOLATION OF INTERNATIONAL LAW whereby the safety of Australian passport holders has been compromised. Just as with the counterfeiting of currency, passports or any other documents, the Australian Government, by law, is obliged to protect its citizens!
28. australia
debbie ,   israel   (02.27.10)
HOGWASH Israel owes nothing, not even an explanation to any of these countries. This man is a murderer and should not have been allowed to travel freely in the world. He should have been dead or in prison. Israel owes nothing, especially to a world which stood by silently, and didn't even bother to condemn, when israeli men women and children were being blown to bits by suicide bombers. These countries do nothing to help when Israel is in danger, and they can expect nothing from Israel, not even an explanation. We have a democratically elected prime minister and he will take any and all steps to protect the citizens of the country.
29. #24 no apologizes, no regret, and no mercy! Way to go 'Dude'
Fred Nerks ,   Wagga, Australia   (02.27.10)
right.

Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (02.27.10)
Really? Where exactly in la-la land did you pick up this little snippet? In reality most Australians *do not* support Israel. 16% of Australians have a mainly positive view of Israel 68% of Australians have a mainly negative view of Israel (Source: BBC Global Poll) Or this little snippet: “The national poll shows the federal Labor government is out of step with public opinion when it cuddles up to Israel … 42% of Australians found Israel’s actions [in Gaza] ‘not justified’ whereas only 29% found them ‘justified’. The rest said they ‘couldn’t say’.” (Source: Peter Manning)
