the extra-judicial killing and the fraudulence of fake passports which is absolutely not acceptable. Breaching the law on the expenses of others is the defect there.

The issue is bigger than the Australian residents in Israel. It concerns the legitimacy of the Australian passport regime. If Israelis, Arab states, Russians, Americans, espionage agencies, terrorist organisations, criminal organisations, whatever, systematically abuse the Australian passport regime, it will fall into disrepute. That means that ALL Australian travellers will run the risk of being regarded with suspicion. They will be excessively detained at border check points, their bona fides checked and risk to their physical well-being in certain countries greatly increased. It is incumbent on the Australian Government to do all in its power to prevent such a situation from occuring. THIS IS NOT OUR WAR!
