You do the crime you do the time ! He knew exactly what he was doing when he commited these crimes. His only regret is that he didnt get away with it. He deserves every day of his sentence. He pretends to be a man of God yet he flaunts the very rules he pretends to represent. If your going to preach " i am hollier than thou" at least learn to behave like a human being. Still with 7 Shas MKs already jailed he is amongst good company. We will do all we can to make sure this discusting man stays behind bars.

You have got to be kidding, a pardon because of his financial situation, that's like killing one's parents and then asking for leniency do to being an orphan. Benizri should serve his whole term, without time off for good behavior, he has tried time and time again to to go to prison at all. He should have received more than 4 years. How is it these Shas Ministers keep thinking that they are above the law and can do what they want. How many ministers from the party have now served or convicted of something?
3. only four years....shame!!!
C ,   Tel Aviv   (02.28.10)
He should be an example and every other corrupt person of power should follow him behind bars... I am sick and tired of hearing about our ministers using their position and power to benefit themselves.... is there one decent honest man or women in power in Israel that is 100% decent and honest? probably not - very, very sad...

mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (02.28.10)
seems benizri doesn't understand the concept of paying for his crimes. in his world if your life falls apart, you should receive a break. never mind minor details like he committed a crime, got caught, convicted, and punished according to the lenient law. yeah, he's having a hard time. he DESERVES a break.
6. Don't worry
Daniel   (02.28.10)
Don't worry as soon as you get out you can join your Shas friends and start stealing from us again.
7. Judge Edmond Levy
BENJAMIN ,   SINGAPORE   (02.28.10)
While you are doing your duty as judge, YOU ARE AN IDIOT FOR A JUDGE, YOUR JUDGEMENT IS PREJUDICIAL AND PARTISAN..... YOUR WORDS .." HIGHER PRICE TAG " IS ONLY PROJECTING YOUR LEGAL RESONING TAINED BY PREJUDICE ! I THINK THE PRESIDENT SHOULD PARDON HIM ! THE JUDEG SHOULD NOT HAVE ALLOWED HIS PERSONAL OPINION TO OVERIDE HIS LEGAL OPINION ! THE JUDGE WAS EMOTIONAL IN IMPOSING THE 4 YEARS !
8. #1 & #2 you are right on the money!!
