As long as Israel can't even define what it is to be a Jew how can it be a Jewish state? If you base your country on religious teachings then you are hopelessly locked into the primitive past. When a new bus line is planned there is a tender issued . Others can make an offer , Egged and Dan have lost many lines . In my town , it's now Kavim . From Beth Shemesh to Jerusalem , it's another company . But they all gave the best conditions . That to exploit existing lines , the same for new ones . And Egged Mehadrin lines , very cheap , are subsidised by the NORMAL passengers , who have to pay MUCH more for same distances . You can see for yourself on the Egged webpages .
