A poll of secular Israelis would have very different conclusions. Do I have to recall the observant Jew who told me how to cheat on my US and Israeli taxes. The rabbi who tutors dozens of students for cash only. The cars park illegally in towns like Bnei Brak. The calling of secular Jews gentiles. The chauvinist attitude towards women. The inability to treat other Israelis with respect. The disrespect for orders from the military. The disrespect for non Ashkenazi students. I think we all have to learn how to be better people. People believed that the US was more moral in the 1950s also until stories began to emerged in the 1980s from traumatized people. Arabs countries have tons of morality problems but speaking about them is not only forbidden, it could risk death and humility of the family. the survey is flawed, or information is missing from the article. how many people were interviewed? what is their background (chozrim or ffb?)? where do they live now? how were they educated? i am national-religious, live in a mixed secular-religious community, do not think myself better than anyone else and i was not surveyed, nor was anyone else that i know.
