1. Jerusalem can't have setelments,
ghostq   (03.10.10)
since the arabs there don't want to be part of the WB, other wise the jobs will be over. THE CITY OF DAVID belong to jews, and the christ will bless the jews who lives there.
2. but its ok for Iran to have the bomb
sam ,   Jerusalem   (03.10.10)
u say its illegal to build houseing for jews in our capital, the historic capital for jews for over 3000 years and yet on the same day the UN decides that sanctions against Iran wont go ahead which is pretty much saying we will alow this country that has verbaly expressed its desire to wipe us off the map the wepons to do so. sanctioning genocide..
3. The time is never ripe...
AJ - Raalte   (03.10.10)
for Israel to do anything, build, demolish illegal structures, add ancient Jewish heritage sites to the preserve list, whatever... the Arabs will riot at the drop of a hat. Funny how it's never Arab rioting or the endless belligerent rhetoric that obstruct the path to indirect "peace talks".
4. POLITICAL STUPIDITY ????
Alon Frank ,   Beth Shemesh,Israel   (03.10.10)
I hereby slam Kadima,Biden and Ban. Are you guys really dreaming or what? Pals will never give in to any road map, because this goes against the Islam sharia rules. So why give in? Eretz Yisrael has always been from the Jews. There is nothing to talk about land for peace. Expand Israel expand !! May you be blessed with the lands of your enemies who hates you.
5. Abbas should not go on with talk
observer   (03.10.10)
The Us has promised to blame who is responsible for failure of negotiation. The Arab league gave Abbas the green line; Abbas is no more under pressure to unfold his previous decision to not go talk till complete settlement freeze. That has been indirect without preconditions talk which they advised. Israel ruined everything. It's the golden opportunity for Abbas.
6. Ban spoke more words against building homes then the masacre
(03.10.10)
against Christians in Africa by the swords of Muslims...
7. Whose point of view?
Aryeh Wetherhorn ,   Elazar, Israel   (03.10.10)
UN Sec'y Gen'l calls the plan illegal. Why? If 18 years of Jordanian occupation (1949-1967) were enough to turn temporary cease fire lines into accepted internat.ional borders in his mind, why aren't 33 years of Israeli control enough to do the same for Jerusalem? Israel doesn't claim ALL the West Bank, but the PA DOES claim ALL of British Mandate Palestine, and they are, at last notice, unwilling to compromise. Is that in accord with Palestinian obligations under the roadmap?
8. good one #2

10. Here's a news flash
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.10.10)
Israel is a sovereign state. Whatever decisions Israel may or may not make with respect to completely internal policies are not subject to review by the United Nations. Jerusalem has been unified since 1967. Jerusalem is the capital city of Israel. That means that Israel gets to make all the regulations and decisions with respect to Jerusalem. Any other country or entity has BUPKES to say with respect to Israel's building plans for its capital city. See how easy that was?
11. Crunch time for Netanyahu
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (03.10.10)
Obama is implementing the three-point Saudi plan for Israel's destruction: ethnic cleansing of Jews from all areas liberated in 1967, prohibition of Jewish access to holy sites, and flooding whatever territory remains under Jewish control with Arab Muslims to eliminate Israel. Netanyahu thought he could save Israel and Jerusalem by decreeing that Jews could not build in the rest of Judea and Samaria. Instead of gaining credit, Obama dismissed this as an empty gesture and increased his demands from Israel. He now sends Biden to threaten Israel with American support for Israel's international isolation unless Israel gives up on Jerusalem. Netanyahu has a choice: accept the Saudi plan for Israel's destruction or distance Israel from the United States in order to prevent the genocide.
12. UN rejecting its own laws
Golan ,   modiin   (03.10.10)
The wonderful thing about the UN is its meaningless. It promised to keep Jerusalem an international city in 1947 then handed it over to the invading Arabs in 1948. It promised all religions will be able to visit its holy sights and facilitated the racist Jordanian policies against Jews. Only under Israel had all religions been able to practice their religion openly. As for occupation, of course we occupy our own land. And we will build on it and we will live on it.
13. "Netanyahu does not control his cabinet"
Salma ,   Palestine   (03.10.10)
WOW. FAWDA IN "ISRAEL".;) fawda means chaos
14. Palestinian indermines because they want Jerusalem
Dani ,   Amsterdam   (03.10.10)
Jerusalem is not for sale, is our like Rome is Italian so if they really want peace they need to accept this de facto situation. If they do not like it we cannot leave in peace, unfortunately
15. #10: Sarah B.: True and well spoken but
Israeli 2   (03.10.10)
why do they(Moon and Biden and all the rest of them) continue to make statements as if the lands in Israel, especially Jerusalem do not belong to the Israelis? Are they being paid to make such statements or do they really believe in what they say?
16. Get out now
Paul ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (03.10.10)
Israel must get out of these talks aimed at promoting Islamic interests. Israel has nothing to gain, everything to lose, and the world is once again showing its ugly destructive face. The world is forever addicted to self-destruction, the elimination of Jewish identity, and promotion Islamic dictatorships.
17. to #15 they payed, the big boss Nobama
ghostq   (03.10.10)
will fire them other wise. he did threat Hilarry if she won't go the line.
18. To: Israeli at No. 15
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.10.10)
Thank you for your measured response. I don't think they are being paid -- at least I hope not -- but Israel has, unfortunately, allowed itself to become a convenient target. No one questions the tens of thousands of Kurds being massacred by the Turks and the Iraqis. No one questions the millions that have been massacred in tribal violence in the Congo. No one questions the tens of thousands of Christians that have been murdered in Banda Ace by the Indonesian Muslim majority. No one questions the hundreds of thousands that have been murdered by the Russians in Chechen. Et cetera, et cetera. Seems to me to be highly disproportionate. Do they really believe what they say? Who cares? It's extremely leveraged in any event. And therefore totally worthy of --- yawn -- ignoring.
19. TO BAN KI MOON AND OBAMA
BENJAMIN ,   SINGAPORE   (03.10.10)
YOU MAY GO ON MAKING PRESS STATEMENT LIKE YOUR SANCTION OVER IRAN, WE WILL GO ON BUILING THE HOUSES FOR OUR CHILDREN OF YISRAEL. WE DONT WANT TO SEE OUR CHILDREN STAYIN IN TENTS AND CONTAINERS !
20. UN has not read the bibel
rune f ,   oslo norway   (03.10.10)
JUDGEMENT WILL COME UPON THEM THAT DIVIDES ISRAEL JOEL3: 2 I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land. 12 "Let the nations be roused; let them advance into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there I will sit to judge all the nations on every side.
21. To #10: Hear Hear Sarah B! Moon should be "Mooned!"
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (03.10.10)
Ban Ku-Moon would do a lot better if he was to concern himself as to why UN Security Council Resolution 1701 has not been enforced! Why has he allowed Hezbollah to rearm and to move south of the Litani River? The fact is that Israel bashing is the in thing today as the Oil Sheikhs are buying up more and more western assets and are slowly gaining control of the Western Economies. Who would have thought they would even put their oily fingers in the Cricket and Tennis pies? The Israel bashing lobby is only gaining strength due to the double talk of our venerable Prime Minister and his Ali Baba Cabinet. It is time for PM Netanyahu to cut the crap and told the people of Israel where he is going. If it is to war the the people must know so we can prepare ourselves. If it is to peace then he must make the concessions he has to and and once and for all tell the world that our Capital, Jerusalem, is just no negotiable. Also he must stop the barbarian actions of ejecting Arabs from their homes. The Arabs of Jerusalem have rights too as they are Israeli Citizens and it would be far better to economically and politically to make them happy instead of wasting money on those who leach on the country and contribute nothing!
22. UN illegal under Torah law
Truth Hertz ,   UK   (03.10.10)
Since they have clearly put themselves in the position of rodefim. Their policies and pronouncements endanger the lives of Jews (not only in Eretz Yisrael but those in the galut also). When has the UN ever said that it is illegal for Moslems, Hindus, christians or anyone other than Jews to live in a particular place?
23. Hey Sarah...
steve from raleigh   (03.10.10)
...what have the Israelis been doing about the people you mention? How many Israeli missions have gone to help the Chechens, Kurds, Christians or the tribes in the Congo? What questions has Israel raised in the UN about these people? I would seem that you are making vague sweeping statements about these people within these conflict zones being ignored by the rest of the world but we can only measure that by what Israel has been doing to help these people. So tell me what has Israel done to help the plight of these people as from what I know Israel has not lifted a finger.
24. Kadima announced 1,300 homes in same settlement years ago
jason ,   haifa israel   (03.10.10)
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/mar/10/israel-homes-plan-biden-apology Two years ago, when the Israeli government approved 1,300 homes in the same settlement, then US secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice, criticised the move as having a "negative effect" on peace talks. Only thing worse than Livni's weakness is her hypocrisy. Kadima's hypocrisy is breathtaking. They bashed Bibi in April for EU freezing relations when in fact the EU had frozen relations in January during the gaza war. Kadima's hypocrisy has no bounds. Some one on this district committee is up to no good as these announcements were also made when u.s officials would visit when olmert was in office. Clearly a change needs to be made where the PM office is informed of any annoncement from the jersualem committee. Monday's announcement for 112 homes was project started in olmert's administration yet Kadima bashes. Tuesday's announcement was project started three years ago during olmert yet kadima bashes.
25. The concept is quite simple
Dr D ,   Jerusalem   (03.10.10)
The moment Israel will make peace with all her neighbors and the Arabs will not have anymore their reason for a "United front" against us we will see peace and prosperity in the region. (Ban Ki Moon idea) but Ban Ki Moon should bring back Shalit to prove his power and then talk.
26. This guy is bought and paid for with Arab oil money
Ho Hum ,   Israel   (03.10.10)
No wonder he doesn't know international law, only arab mythology
27. Sarah no. 10
Eyal ,   USA   (03.10.10)
Sarah the mistake you are making is not understanding that the United Nations has pointed out and stated that under international law Israel is illegally occupying East Jerusalem and the West Bank and Gaza. Because you do not understand international law you may think that Israel “owns” East Jerusalem just because Israel occupying that part of the city yet this is not the case. You may think that you know what you are talking about but in reality you are only one of the very few people who are misguided in believing that Israel has any form of legal right to East Jerusalem.
28. #10 Sarah B
Hal ,   Usa   (03.10.10)
Written like a true novice, the correct spelling is BUPKIS not BUPKES.
29. Jerusalem
Yaniv ,   Israel   (03.10.10)
jews will never give up on any part of Jerusalem and remeber this Obama and Ban because your comments will inflict more danger in the middle east. How can you deny the sole rights to the jewish nation. I wonder how different your statements would be if the Arabs didnt have any oil.
30. Come what may...
Ram ,   London   (03.10.10)
the arabs will be relentless in "trying" to eliminate the state of Israel. With that in mind one has to consider the dilemmas Israel has. A)-Commit suicide by succumbing to the pressures exerted on it by the UN, US and EU so "they" can appease the arabs for their own interest or B)- Worry about the national security and take "whatever" steps it needs to safeguard it's capital and security. Should Israel chose plan B and be rebuked for it, it may suffer in the short term from all kinds of negative reactions from those powers but logic says that in the longer term they will come round. The question remains: "how long can Israel withstand those pressures?" My guess is that plan A will weaken Israel "mortally" and therefore not worth considering. One should bear in mind that "not once" did Israel's enemies offer an olive branch; it has always been the other way round. To Israel's enemies this is a sign of weakness. Just my opinion; and I know this goes totally against the grain of Livni's thoughts and all the liberal lefties. Netanyahu needs support and steel ba**s!!
