Yes, indeed - the British and Spanish conquered the Americas - the "settlers" and their descendants can be called Americans. The British actually expelled their Jews in 1190, or murdered them. My family was not in Britain during the conquest of America. The poitn i am making is that Obama Bin Biden have no right to criticise Israel, especailly whilst they are denying the Turkish (or was it not the Turks but the ottomans) Genocide of Armenians. Ahmadinejad denies 9/11. Hussein OObama is a Manchurian candidate, and wants to Islamise America.

Eddie ,   london UK   (03.10.10)
Ken, how are the minarets doing in Suisse? Genocide was actually commited by the Romans in Judea and Israel. The surviving Jews have returned. The Arab and Ototman occupations transferred foregin populations into Israel. hence, the Palestinians were illegal occupiers. It is up to the Turk and Arabic nations to restore the populaitons back to their own territory, since it is sovereign Israelite land.
63. Just another Roman Catholic goofball with no real solutions.

Actually Kareem the US, when it was formed in 1787 only consisted of eastern territories. You also forget the Trail of Tears where hundreds of thousands of Native Americans were forced out west into Oklahoma, many dieing on the way. The western US was formed from territories "bought" from the French, who obviously took it from the Natives. As well as through wars with Mexico. Also I think that when people point out past atrocities by other nations, they don't do it as a means to justify their own actions, they do it in order to point out the double standard used when naming actions Israel takes in order to protect itself as atrocities. When one nation has done unspeakable things in its own self interest, nobody even peeps, especially when it comes to either a powerful nation, or a strategically important one. But when Israel decides to retaliate when Pals provoke its forces to do just that, they cry wolf, and everyone is quick to condemn what Israel does in response. And just a little FYI, before the Six Day war, Arab snipers used to sit on road ways, in the old city, any where in arab territories in proximity to Jewish hubs really, and shoot at cars passing by, random people passing by. So please tell me which came first really? Terrorist or "genocide" as you so lightly use the word.
65. Now is the ideal time to give Biden a resounding "NO".
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.10.10)
The Obama administration is in deep trouble. Obama can't win elections in the most heavily Democrat states in the union such as New Jersey and Massachusetts. If only the Israeli government had the courage to tell Obama "NO", we'd have an enormous amount of American support for our position. Democrats are justifiably afraid of being decimated in the midterms. Now is the ideal time to give the evil, monstrous Two State Final Solution a resounding "NO". Jordan is "Palestine".
66. Settlement construction???
Barry ,   Boston, MA   (03.10.10)
Let's face it, the Palestinian issue is secondary. Biden came to Israel to address the Iranian issue, the cake, The Palestinian and settlement issue is just the frosting. Israel obviously was asked to restrain from doing anything to or at Iran; in agreeing to hold tight, Israeli approval of 1600 new homes in East Jerusalem is the cost allowed by the US administration, while at the same time they can publicly show how upset they are with Israel's decision. So, once again Israel is left to hang out to dry by the world, while behind close doors the rest of the world knows that Iran is the issue, not the Palestinians.
67. #55 Eddie: A point of disagreement
Kareem ,   USA   (03.10.10)
Eddie, I agree with many of the things that you said but not all. from amongst the points that I disagreed with you on the point that I decided to write back to you on was this: you mentioned that "Palestinians are foreign imports". I know my mom was born in Palestine, so were her parents and grandparents and great grandparents .etc.. , they owned land there and farms you never know perhaps her ancestors where Jews who converted to Christianity in the early centuries. In any case, She's not expecting those things back but to say that "Palestinians are foreign imports" is not right because it could justify genocide on those that are still there.
68. They Got Gaza. What More Do They Want?
emanon ,   USA   (03.10.10)
It seems the arabs like destry stuff. They were undeservedly given Gaza, JUST LIKE THEY ASKED FOR, but instead of establishing a peaceful state, they destroyed everything of value left behind, then started a terror campaign against the very people who gave into their unreasonable demands. Viable state? It is up to the arabs to reform their ways. Disarm, give up terror and learn a peaceful trade. Spend money money on schools, not bombs. Spend money on hospitals, not rockets. Spend money on farming, not guns.
69. Hug Hug....We'll get those Jews to move!
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (03.10.10)
Don't worry....Obama and I have the Magic. We talk a lot. Promise a lot. And never deliver.
70. Palestinian claim to state
Robert Cabitt ,   Boston, MA, USA   (03.10.10)
Palestinians deserve a state--in Jordan, where they came from. Send them back there. When George Bush gives back his Crawford, Texas ranch to the American Indians is when peace when comes to Israel. To the victor goes the spoils--tghat is the law of reality.
71. Fairness?
Shalom ,   Fort Lee, U.S.A.   (03.10.10)
How come he didn't condemn the naming of a public square after a terrorist who killen 13 innocent israeli civilians? Joe Biden has a reputation of a plagiarizing demagogue. I hope ISREAL IS NOT GOING TO BACK DOWN. Netanyahu, you have a chance to prove that you're a leader, not a puppet who turns his country into a banana republic! n
72. Palestinians already have a state
Brod ,   USA   (03.10.10)
The Palestinians already have a homeland-a large country called Jordan where 70% of the people are Palestinians. Biden should not be harping the crap of the Islamist-Jihadists at Israel's expense. The tiny liberated Land of Israel belongs to the Jews. Why should the Islamist-Jihadists want to usurp the Land of Israel? It is time the world stops being fooled and manipulated by their Taqiyya (deceit). It is time for Biden to go home and shut your mouth. Judeo-Christian America supports Israel. Biden is on the wrong side of the fence. His knowledge of History, the Bible and Biblical Archaeology is zero.
73. 63 Just another Roman Catholic goofball
Eddie ,   london UK   (03.10.10)
aah, so Biden is RC? Perhaps that explains why he is taking an anti israel stance. It was Rome which destroyed the Temple in Jerusalem - the Israelite temple. It was Rome who expelled the jews from their homeland. It was the Vatican who denied Israel's right to Jerusalem. And it is the RC Church which blames Israel's dispersion on its sin in not accepting Jesus as its saviour. So we have a Muslim and a Catholic running America, a stolen land, and trying to teach Israel morals? Give me a break!
74. Yes, they do deserve a state
Ronnie ,   Israel   (03.10.10)
Let's give them Maryland, Biden's home state.
75. viable state for palestinians
HENRYK ,   RAMAT GAN/ISRAEL   (03.10.10)
mr biden where were you during the talks between arafat and barak at camp david year 2000 did you remember what happened and what followed
76. NOT ACCORDING TO JEHOVAH THOUGH !!!.
Arn. ,   SWEDEN.   (03.10.10)
Biden says Palestinians deserve 'viable' state JOEL 3 1"For behold, in those days and in that time, when I shall bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem, 2I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for My people and for My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted My land. JESAJAH 11 14But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; MR BIDEN AND HIS MASTER, ARE AMBASSADORS OF THE EVIL ONE. Arn.
77. # 64: Zory
Kareem ,   USA   (03.10.10)
To be fair you need to read more on Jewish terrorist groups in British Mandate Palestine before 1948 (what their goals were, and what they did in order to achieve them).
78. Hell.....
Shalom ,   Fort Lee, U.S.A.   (03.10.10)
The enemies of Israel believe in hell and thats where they are going to rot!
79. They have a state
Lioness ,   Israel   (03.10.10)
And it is called Jordan which occupies 78% of the Mandate and has a Palestinian population of 77% of the people. Jordan IS Palestine
80. Maybe, but it is not an obligation of Israel's
bernar ross ,   st anns bay,jamaica   (03.10.10)
Israel captured the land from jordan and egypt the fact that both have abandoned their claims to the land unilaterally creates no moral or legal obligation for israel. It is another mantra that like goebells is repeated until it becomes real. Israel is under no obligation to donate land to make it viable. whatever land is left must be determined by israeli security concerns as per 242 but also by israeli claims to ancestral homelands. If land is left for the arabs it is for them to decide if it is eough to be viable or to refederate with jordan or federate with gaza but with no obligated land corridor. Jordan and egypts unilateral action cannot create legal obligations for israel.
81. #57, cheese and crackers with that whine?
israeli ,   israel   (03.10.10)
as a Jew living in Israel, let me tell you that the reason and the purpose of our being here has nothing to do with your miserable life in America. Grow up and get a life!!!!!!!!!
82. #67 Kareem
Eddie ,   london UK   (03.10.10)
Kareem, I am not in any way suggesting that Palestinians living anywhere between the Med sea and the Jordan river should be God forbid murdered. I also don't believe that 90% or more of them wish any harm to come upon their Israeli neighbours. There are several levels on which to discuss or debate this. If it is emotional, then we would just throw emotions into the pan. Just as an example, what is referred to today as "Arab East Jerusalem" was actually Jewish majority Jerusalem until the riots and the Jordanian occupation in 1948. My point is that Israel is today being accused of many crimes, eg occupation, building settlements, transfer of people, and murder. However, and objective look a the historical record is that the land was Israelite, ie 12 tribes, including 1 Judaic tribe. Other tribes , for example, Ephraim, were expeleld to Iran, etc, hence Iranian Jews are more technically Ephraimite Israelites. If a crime is wrong today, then it was also wrong 100 years ago or 2000 years ago. I respect that you are an honest person, and don't deny that there was an Israelite state long before the advent of Islam. however, the official PLO/Hamas line is that there was no Temple on temple mount prior to the mosque being built there. If you argue that by living several generations in Israel, then the Palestinians become rightful resdients, then why can't Israeli settlers use the same arguments, eg build settlements in Judea Samrai and say they have lived here for 40 years etc. BTW, i have also criticised Israeli governemnt policy on Turkey for denying the armenian genocide. Essentially, this is to keep good trade ties with Turkey - but i see that as immoral. It is liek denying the Holocaust for Jews. See, i do not advocate any genocide whatsoever.
83. Fine, give them Jordan
Nora ,   Israel   (03.10.10)
That was supposed to be the Arab's country. G-d gave Israel to the Jews.
84. #55 Good point Kareem!
BK   (03.10.10)
But, in comparison to your grandmother, what about all the Israelies who have been born in Israel since 1948. Israel is now their birthplace and home - regardless of pre-birth wars and history. Israel is now their only home and place in the world. Arabs have many homes and should not complain over one little sliver of land. I'm sure if the Arabs didn't make such a hoopla over everything, your religious sites would still be preserved and available for visit even if Israel took over all the land.
85. Doesn't Israel deserve a viable state?
Dan Martins ,   Sydney   (03.10.10)
How about a viable state for the Jews? 60 years of unremitting Arab aggression prove that the West Bank and Gaza, minus their Arab populations, should be part of Israel.
86. Biden: Palestinians deserve state
Yoel ,   Ossining, NY   (03.10.10)
Israel is not supposed to build in East Jerusalem This presupposes that Arab Jerusalem will be Judenrein; the same applies to the so called West Bank. And the nations of the world accept this? To paraphrase Menachem Beigin, Jews can reside in London, Washington, Paris, etc., but not in Jerusalem, Hebron, etc.? By the way, what are the Palestinians doing to encourage and promote a peaceful relationship with Israel?
87. Has Biden looked at a map of Areas A & B, ever?
Eitan ,   Chicago, USA   (03.10.10)
There will never be a contiguous Arab state in the West Bank. Rand McNally may be fond of showing the West Bank as a single unit, but the Arabs directly control only the Jenin, Shechem/Nablus, Jiljilya, Jericho, Bethlehem, and Hebron H1 blocs, and as Eitan from Qatzrin points out, UNSCR242 and Article 49 of the 4th Geneva Convention give Israel a mandate to control security and allow Jewish residence in these areas. The fact of the matter is that Arab emigration from the West Bank is up 30% over the decade, as Arabs rejoin their families in Jordan and elsewhere, given the disruption the 2nd intifada had on job security. The only Arab government that could emerge from the West Bank enclaves would bear resemblance to the Kyrgyz/Uzbek/Tajik border, reflecting the weak states and civil war that wrought destruction on that region. There will be no 3rd Arab conquest of Israel.
88. Palestinians deserve a state
ZD ,   USA   (03.10.10)
No kidding the Palestinians are the rightful owners of the land and will force all the zionists to leave Palestine even if it takes years to do it
89. America is Illegal ,stolen from Indians
jew ,   jewish country   (03.10.10)
they can deny that jerusalem is part of israel all they want it will not help the americans one bit jerusalem will all ways be part of the jewish people and not america or the arabs or the palis what ever they caa them self
90. Look at the map
Jackie ,   Florida, USA   (03.10.10)
By stating that the Arabs deserve a viable state with Gaza joined to Judea and Samaria, Biden implies that the Jews are not entitled to a viable state, but must agree to have their nation bisected by the Arab state. Look at the map and tell me I am wrong
