Hundreds of nude people standing together were photographed in Australia. What a sight - what's the point ? Let's not do this here, and for what reason. I find nothing aesthetic in such performance - artistically or otherwise. We cannot begin to compare such actions with great nude art works. What the hell is happening in our world ? Only in regards to the gay parade in Israel. I am not against equality for all but I am against a public display of any type of lifestyle that is based mainly on sexual preference. I don't care if gays have bars and are holding hands in the street. That's ok to me but I do not want to see more than that - from anyone, gay or straight, let alone a whole parade announcing to the world what they do. I tend to wonder if the parade is more to make themselves feel better than to make the rest of the public accept them (which parades never do). There is a BIGGGGGG difference between nude art by willing participants and being stripped to be humiliated before a mass slaughter. If you can't see that - you are truly blind and stuck in your own trauma.

I do not recall one verse in the Torah which states that just nakedness was forbidden. But I do recall many verses regarding sexual depravity either on its own or as a result of nakedness. When Judaism denounced the Greeks, what exactly were they denouncing? Nakedness or sexual depravity? I'll let you figure that one out. The human body itself is a beautiful work of art and each waking day we give thanks to G-d for its good functioning, and we clean it also with prayers. So why hide it away from the light as if it's an abomination because others have a weakness in their soul?

All Reuven did was point out to you that the Torah, rather than teach you fundamentalism, stipulates a code of conduct becoming of a descent human being. In this case one cannot argue against what is the accepted norm of "descent behaviour" . You can be secular Avi but does that mean you have to be vulgar to be so? Not many will agree with you.
