1. Pali's humiliated by Israel
Barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (03.11.10)
Again, the "poor me" mentality. If only they understood that they need to give something, in order to get something in return. Also, if they want respect, then they need to respect us - accept us, we are here in Israel. Israel is viable. Accept and agree to this.....
2. int'l aid should be tied to progress in peace talks
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (03.11.10)
otherwise palestinians are going to milk this racket as long as they can.
3. Instead of whining...
AJ - Raalte   (03.11.10)
as per usual, it would be advisable for the Pals to hurry up and salvage what's left of their so-called "Palestine", before it's too late. But, no, they want it all on a silver platter. If they got what they really deserve, it would be NOTHING!
4. When Abbas understand occupations don't end by negotiations?
Jones ,   USA   (03.11.10)
Abbas has to look no farther than Gaza & South Lebanon as well as Golan Heights and west Bank. Arafat's & Abbas's 20 years of peace BS have not liberated 1 inch from Jewish occupation in West Bank.
5. No, I do not agree:(
Salma ,   Palestine   (03.11.10)
It is not Israel that humiliate us Unfortunately, we humiliate ourselves because we accept to negotiate with these gangs
6. Jerusalem is the capital of Israel - what's the problem here
Israel   (03.11.10)
7. No peace talks ? Oh boo-hoo !!
J.B. Doom ,   Beautiful Gate   (03.11.10)
8. #6 neither ُُEast nor West Jerusalem recognized as Israeli
observer   (03.11.10)
No country has so far recognized Israeli sovereignty in either West or East Jerusalem. With regard to West Jerusalem, the European states have de facto accepted the applicability of Israeli law. The case of Yossele Schumacher; this young ultra-Orthodox boy was abducted in the 1960s by his father from Jerusalem to the United Kingdom. The British court applied the law in force in West Jerusalem, i.e., Israeli law. Interestingly, foreign states have not claimed that the law of occupation should apply to West Jerusalem." Another example is the Regency Hotel, formerly the Hyatt Hotel on Mount Scopus in Jerusalem. It is partly built in an area where there was an Israeli enclave from 1949 to 1967 and partly outside it. When official European representatives come to the hotel they go only into those parts located on land that belonged to this enclave.
9. he is smart
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (03.11.10)
Abbas is a genius, too bad Israeli leaders are less smart. As long as Abbas makes no "Peace Talks", Biden and Obama force Israel to make concessions and delegitimize Israel. In one year under Netanyahu Israel has stopped Jewish building in Judea and Samaria, allows extensive Arab building including of a new Arab city and is now negotiating about whether Israel may build in Jerusalem and whether Rachel's Tomb is Jewish. Abbas will be remembered as the man who used Obama to destroy Israel.
10. The Arabs have never wanted to talk, their goal has always
Eitan ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (03.11.10)
been the total annihilation of Israel, in one fell swoop or by stages, Having been pushed into talks, they have attempted to get out of them using any excuse possible. The 1,600 apartments in an area that was out of discussion in the first place was their shallow excuse. The Muslim-Arabs, local and regional, sadly, demonstrate themselves as unreliable, untrustworthy.
11. How about humilating Israeli Jews by naming a square after
JO   (03.11.10)
a murderer of Jews. Now what does that say. not to mention all that talk in arabic. Double talking.
12. Prof. Khaleel Mohammed said: "The Qur'an...
Norway   (03.11.10)
refers to the exiles, but leaves it open for return...saying to the Jews that if they keep their promise to God, then God will keep the Divine promise to them" (Read more: The Koran and the Jews By Jamie Glazov, http://97.74.65.51/readArticle.aspx?ARTID=12825 In the end of days, faced with the choice of the blessing or the curse, i.e., accepting the Torah or not, the exiles will return to the Lord their God, as it is said: When you are distressed, and all these things happen upon you in the end of days, then you will return to the Lord your God and obey Him." Deut. 4:27-31, Ch. 30, Hosea 3:4-5, 14:2-3 It seems to be that the ressurrection of the dead and the Ingathering will be at the same time. Daniel 12:2,13: "And many who sleep in the dust of the earth willawaken-these for eternal life, and those for disgrace, for eternal abhorrence... And you (Daniel), go to the end, and you will rest and rise to your lot at the end of the days." (Isaiah 26:19, Zec. 14:4-5, Song of Songs 8:5, Ezekiel 37, Daniel 7:10, Gen. 22:17, 24:60, Deut. 33:17) ”And the land shall not be sold in perpetuity; for the land is Mine; for ye are strangers and settlers with Me. For unto Me the children of Israel are servants; they are My servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt (idolatry, slavery)... (Lev. 25:23,55, Hosea 11:1-4, Ezekiel 20:40). In the end of days God has promised He will bring up and lead ”the seed of the House of Israel out of the north country, and from all the countries whither I had driven them'; and they shall dwell in their own land.” (Jeremiah 23:7-8, 3:14-15,18, 31:4-13). The Declaration of the Establishment of the State of Israel The State of Israel will be open for Jewish immigration and for the Ingathering of the Exiles,.. We appeal to the Jewish people throughout the Diaspora to rally round the Jews of Eretz-Israel in the tasks of immigration and upbuilding and to stand by them in the great struggle for the realization of the age-old dream - the redemption of Israel. http://www.knesset.gov.il/docs/eng/megilat_eng.htm PLO Charter Article 25: "Convincing concerned countries in the world to prevent Jewish immigration to Palestine as a method of solving the problem." - The nations of the World have really chosen a worthy opponent and they are therefore bound to loose... (Ezekiel 36, Psalm 83).
13. Poor Salma..
Ram ,   London   (03.11.10)
..always the victim like all her compatriots. Disowned by the Egyptians and by the Jordanians. Remained refugees for over 60 years out of which 30 under Egyptian and Jordanian rule without opening their mouths once! Instead of thanking Israel for its compassion in accepting them and giving them a life far better than their previous rulers they have decided not only to bite the hand that feeds them but to actually to try destroy the entity that does so. In the meantime they have elected terrorists to rule them with an iron fist who at the same time have pocketed the billions received in aid that would have rendered every Palestinian a well educated millionaire if only this aid was honestly utilised and distributed. The EU and the US may be fools but not so Israel. With this false victim mentality the Salmas of this world should get used to the suffering. Israel is not about to vacate and move to Alaska or anywhere else!
14. Biden go home! It is forbidden for Jews to make treaties
LN ,   Israel   (03.11.10)
with people who want to kill us.
15. #8: Who is sovereign, then?
Eitan ,   Chicago, USA   (03.11.10)
The day may come when the OIC arm-twists banana republics into voting Israel out of the UN; clearly, it has already labeled as "racist" the aspiration of Jews to reside in the land of their ancestors (i.e., Zionism). But until UNSCR242 and the Geneva Convention are abrogated, Jewish residence throughout the West Bank is prima facie legal, especially where even B'Tselem's 5th columnists must concede that there either were no previous tenants on the land (typical of the Jordan Valley), or where adjacent tenants lack registered title and/or deed to the land under the government(s) that previously administered said territory (namely, the Ottoman Empire, the British Mandate, and Transjordan/Jordan). Even a morally bankrupt UN that ousts Taiwan ROC in favor of the communist PRC is as yet careful not to jettison the entire corpus of international law responsible for our modern state system. And even if that happens, Israel would still be de facto sovereign.
16. #4 correction
eli ,   Jerusalem   (03.11.10)
1. Do you mean Gaza & South Lebanon is currently ruled by Israel? Where are you living? Israel has left those areas wihtout any precondition and got missles and war for goodwiil gestures so far. And then look how free the poor people there are now under the rule of Iran and Syria. 2. Occupied were the territories from 1948 til 1967 by Jordean (against international law), from 1918 til 1948 by the UK and befor this time by the Ottomans, Crusaders ...e.g., But never was there an independent state with one exception - ISRAEL. Or can you tell me the last king, PM, shah whatever from the so called Palestine, what we have occupied after your opinion? Was it King Hussein or Queen Mum?
17. Pals find excuse for Western funds without making concession
Sam ,   Canada   (03.11.10)
Palestinians believe they can now use the "humiliation" excuse to continue getting Western funding without having to make concessions in peace talks.
18. now I understand Palestinians fully
Krzysztof ,   Warsaw,Poland   (03.11.10)
this was a show of impertinence.
19. Biden failed to deliver on his end of bargain re: Iran
Eitan ,   Chicago, USA   (03.11.10)
When Biden first met Shimon Peres, he told the latter that the US would confront every security challenge faced by Israel, while the White House promised sanctions to Netanyahu and Barak in return for their restraint on unilaterally attacking Iran's nuclear infrastructure. Those sanctions never materialized, and now Gates and Petraus have been dispatched to the Gulf for explanations of the US' Iran policy. The US is too overcome with hesitance to deliver on its security promise to Israel, and there are too many ex-Communists in the UN Security Council to bring about meaningful sanctions, not to mention Europe's scofflaw attitude toward trade with the apocalyptically minded Iranian regime (see Italy's strong ties to Iran's space program, alongside growing EU trade volumes with Iran). In other words, the US has failed the quid pro quo. Israel is under no obligation to shown restaint any longer.
20. What's the problem?
Antonio ,   Spain   (03.11.10)
Jerusalaim must be Israeli; it's been always its capital and always has been Jewish, with arabs or without them. What kind of joke is that because it's a holly place must be Palestinian? It's also a holly place for Christians and Spain is not reclaiming it any time, for example. And also, Pals lost a war that wasn't started by Israelis. Then please, let Jerusalaim for Jews and negotiate for other areas.
21. Arabs, especially the Muslims among them are "humiliated"
Alona Sapir ,   Israel   (03.11.10)
with every move or word one makes or speaks that is contrary to their 7th century perception of reality. Well, my Muslim Arab friends, we are in the 21st century and reality is so, so different than what you are used to.
22. Talks LOL!
Matityahu ,   Slovenia   (03.11.10)
Seriously, there's nothing to talk about. Israel doesn't even share a single thing with the PA. They want the jews out no matter what. Either by "peace negotiations" or by force. And if they think they will succeed by using violence, they should remember how the two intifadas have ended.
23. #18
eli ,   Jerusalem   (03.11.10)
What would you say, if Germany tells you not to build housings in Breslau and they were right. Breslau at least was once a german City. Jerusalem was never a palestinien City because there was never a palestinian state.
24. #13 Excuse me?
Wael ,   Palestine   (03.11.10)
Bite the hands that feed us? What arrogance! You have murdered our women and children, ruined our homes, stolen our lands, and uprooted our olive trees - and you call our complaints biting the hands that feeds us? I swear to you - we will have the last laugh, when each and everye one of you pathetic immigrants is shipped back to where the #@$@ they came from!
25. You are excused
Yaron ,   USA   (03.11.10)
....but it is only facts that Ram brings up. Speak to the facts of the Egyptians and Jordanians.....and every other arab country for that matter, having left you and yours to be a thorn in Israel's side. Unfortunately the Palestinians can not see past their hatred to make wise decisions that are in their interests. Let's also not lose site of the fact that you are from the Arabian peninsula and should return first.
