The palestinians have had virtually no criticism by this US regime. Plans were made to build a hotel in east Jerusalem ( by a private company ) Abbas started shouting and screaming the US steps in says this is not a good thing it harms the peace process. Israel demolishes illegaly built structures in Jerusalem including some built by jews. Abbas starts screaming & Obama starts demanding it stops. Israel suspended building in Judea & Samaria and carried on some small scale building in Jerusalem Abbas screams Obama listens and tells Israel not to do it. Israel wants to invest in preserving herritage sites Abbas has a tantrum & Obama says this plan should be canceled. Israel wants to build in Silwan Abbas shouts & screams, Biden who came to make trouble anyway starts sulking and the US says don't do it your harming the peace process. This regime takes the attitude the arabs are angels who have never done anything wrong but Israel is an evil monster trying to destroy them. I just hope the US jews have the intelligence not to vote for this muslim loving anti semite again.

This is the biggest farce in Obama's failed presidency. Israel has not insulted the US, Obama, or Biden. This is no worse than what happened to RIce and Bush Jr. This is just another excuse to push Israel to make concessions to a failed Palestinian former government and to take presure off of Obama for his failure to accomplish anything positive in his year in office. So far he has cost the Democrats their majority, raised the budget deficit, failed to keep any of his campaign promises. Obama is not in the best rating zone in US polls at best of times . I believe this will soon become apparent in US opinion polls. A mistake was made an apology was given. Where is the apology for naming town squarers after murdering terrorists. Palestinians don't want peace. the "two state solution" mantra is a huge lie: first of all, there is already a "two state solution" in place. transjordan (now known as jordan) was created as the "arab homeland in palestine", with 78% of the land of palestine, in 1923. israel now sits on roughly half of the remaining 22%, with the current haggling over the border regions of the west bank and gaza. by rights, the arab refugees should be allowed to return to "arab palestine" (aka jordan.). it is not the lack of a state, but the ambiguity of the border that has destabilized the middle east. a clear, non-negotiable and secure border for israel would do more for real peace than the endless manipulations of the palestinian movement (whose avowed goal is still the elimination of israel). in fact, the americans are proposing a "new and improved" arab state of palestine, simply because jordan does not want to allow the plo in. this would be a "three state solution", which would give arab palestine twice as many votes at the united nations as the united states. but why stop at three? the reality is that gaza and the west bank have little or nothing in common (which at the moment is reflected in not even a common government). so in addition to "fatahland", the "legitimate aspirations of the palestinian people" will be expressed in a third arab state, with a working title of "hamastan". had the arab palestinians only really wanted a country of their own, why did they not declare independence, or even mention it, while the west bank and gaza were under complete arab control from 1948 to 1967? the notion that such an arrangement, with four independent "countries", two of them "of the terrorists, by the terrorists and for the terrorists", can result in peace is hopelessly absurd. the very term "two state solution" is an insult to the intelligence, because it is a hollow slogan that is none of what it pretends to be.
