31. Israel should send a useful, sincere peace offering to

Cause of last intifada was Barak making Jerusalem concessions to arafat. Wakf/hamas/pa would kill many more than IDF for spoils. No deal saves lives.
33. The intifada is ongoing and never stopped
Sharona ,   Jerusalem Israel   (03.16.10)
Israel developed techniques including the security barrier to stop most of the attacks. The Palis have never ever stopped trying. There is an intifada going on right now. Our brave men and women on the frontlines, checkpoints and in the intelligence community are doing a great job. But don't think for a single moment that the intifada ever ended. We blunted it.

The only reason that you are "winning the PR game" is because European and American leftists pity you. They bought the lies about the "poor innocent homeless Palestinians" and they feel sorry for you. Little do they remember about the wars of annihilation you and your Arab brothers waged upon Israel last century. Little do they know that "Palestinians" have been abandoned by Jordan and Egypt back in 1967 and that today's so called Palestinians never ruled themselves. Nour, your people are fighting between themselves to death and the only real connection between all you monkeys is your hatred and refusal of a Jewish state in your midst. Give us 1 good reason why Israel should abandon East Jerusalem or any settlement in the West Bank. Have you been so righteous? Have you been so economically viable? Israel is the first country that ever considered giving you autonomy and self-governance. The Jordanians, the British and the Turks before them surely never considered giving you a piece of land to call your own. Israel is trying for now 16 years to give you a state but you just cannot compromise and always beg for more. The world will get tired soon of the "pitiful Palestinians" and by then you will have missed all opportunities to secede from us and rule yourselves. Forget about Jerusalem, make Ramallah your capital and you will have a country, for the first time in history.
35. The Land of Israel is ours by Historical and Moral right.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (03.16.10)
The Land of Israel rightfully belongs only to the Jewish people. The notion of two states for two peoples in the land of Israel cannot be accepted as the land of Israel rightfully belongs only to the Jewish people and to divide our country would be an historic injustice. As it is well known, the conflict between Israel and the Arabs is not a territorial one. If it were a territorial conflict, it could have been solved a long time ago, by territorial concessions, which have been offered a number of times to the Arabs, and rejected every time… As to the legitimate rights of the Jewish people (3 parts): http://xrl.us/berwte
36. The big lies.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (03.16.10)
Peace will never happen without realism and truth. And realism must begin with rejecting the big lies and manipulations, (the big lie about Jerusalem, the big lie about the refugees, the big lie of the Palestinian peoplehood… ), before it shatters any hope of peace not just for Israelis and Arabs but for the rest of the world as well. The center of the dispute is not Hamas or the Palestinians but the West and Islam. The historical and political truth about rights and legitimity can be read in its 5 parts at : http://xrl.us/bi5c6

I would strongly suggest that you, and all other Ynet Readers, read the current article published in JPost regarding the Malan (Israeli Intelligence) Report on operations in Gaza. The report, based on eyewitness testimony including members of the Israeli military and the Gazan citizenry, video photographs and movies as well as written documents left behind by Hamas operatives, describes in detail how Hamas members hid in and around mosques and hospitals, masking themselves as citizens, how Hamas used women and children as human shields and decoys, how Hamas members disguised themselves in ambulances presumably caring for the sick, ill and wounded while carrying weapons and ammunition, and etc. This has been the first real volley in terms of the infamous Goldstone Report attempting an official balanced understanding of both Israel's and Hamas' part in Operation Cast Lead. Any objective understanding must have this information included. As to Israel's alleged use of phosphorous, utilized as a cover (like smoke) to mask military operations or to blind opponents so that they cannot see where they are firing, it is not considered "illegal", i.e., a war crime. I have yet to find a definitive statement, based on objective research rather than propaganda, with respect to how and if phosphorous was being used by Israel during Cast Lead. Of course, it would be regretful if Israel did use this substance in a criminally negligent manner. I would like to state, for the record, that Hamas has always kept in its convenant (see Benny Morris' "One State Two States") the intent to destroy or expel all Jews from Israel except those whose line traced back to pre-1917. There is no exception in their outlook. Unfortunately, the uneducated citizenry in Gaza voted in favour of Hamas. About 100,000 showed up at an event organized by Hamas to cheer on its leaders (before Cast Lead) and to enjoy the panarama and actor who played the part of Gilad Shalit begging for his "mommy and daddy" to take him home. For us, Israelis, it was humiliating. As you are aware, Nour, Hamas capitalized on its winning effort in the Gaza election to fling its Fatah opponents off of high roofs, thereby contemptuously and cruelly utterly destroying their opponents. As an alternative, they fractured and broke knees of alleged Fatah members as a means of silencing and rendering their opponents incapable of walking upright the rest of their lives. This was done to break the spirits of anyone who spoke out against or protested against the leadership. Hamas, as we know, is anything but a democratic organization and, in that regard, mirrors the leadership of most mideastern Moslem states. The only genuine democracy in the middle-east, as imperfect as it is, is the state of Israel. I would suggest that it is the democratic nature of Israel which threatens the power structure of all other Moslem-led states. Whatever injustices Israeli Arabs view in terms of non-democratic features (and there are, admittedly, a number), survey after survey indicates that they would much rather be governed by Israeli laws and policies as opposed to being governed by any other mideastern state including the proposed state of Palestine. I am pretty sure that Hamas does not represent a vision of how you, yourself, wish to see a new Palestinian statehood organized, administered and led. Perhaps you could take the time to enlighten Talkbackers as to what you, personally, envision and propose. Better yet, I invite you to submit an article to Ynet in hopes of having it published for the edification of the entire readership. Sincerely, Robert

39. Another Intifada? Do they think it'll bring new results?
Talula ,   Israel   (03.16.10)
They didn't get to far with the last two, did they. Infact, the real losers were the Arabs. Israelis stopped eating in Arab restaurants and shopping in Arab neighborhoods and who lost? The Arabs. Bite the hand that feeds you and that’s what happens. Of course a fresh intifada would cause a drop in tourism, causing us some financial damage, but even so, pretty much most of the people who want to come here are used to it and will still come anyway, regardless – it’s nothing really new. I hope they think twice before creating more havoc here, but I doubt it.
40. The government should ask for volunteers
jason white ,   afula,israel   (03.16.10)
who are vets of the I.D.F. to be armed and trained. We need to make sure there are patrols and roadblocks by Jews to stop terror attacks. Also we need to hit back for every terror attack. No matter what the cost to the palis. Maybe it is time for targeted assassinations against their leaders in politics. They are stirring up trouble and always try to hurt Israel politically and economically. Hiring or sheltering palis in Israel should have a ten year prison sentence as well as loss of all money and property. Aiding, demonstrating or financing the palis should carry a twenty five year sentence. Even for foreigners.
41. Excuse me Mr. Abu Ala Qureia but,
Salma ,   Palestine   (03.16.10)
You are not qualified to talk about any intifada, you've lost in the last Fateh elections and you almost caused a split in the movement for what?!!! office or chair.. so I think you are a burden on the PLO.. people told you go home and you are determined to stay in spite of all The best thing to do is go to your home and the Palestinians are able to continue to struggle away from your expectations

How is an intefada going to help you? Last time round it weakened Israels left and they still havn't recovered 10 years later. Whatever is left of your economy will be destroyed & jobs lost. Cities destroyed through fighting. People killed. Many more restrictions imposed on you like freedom of travel. Any plans for a state just get further and further away. Look how close you got at Camp David then there was the intefada and look at how things are now. Did the intefada help you get that state? Right now Obama loves everything arab and hates Israel. If there was an intefada even though he may want to take the side of the arabs when the American people switch on CNN and see arabs blowing up busses it takes away sympathy for you and Obama is pressured to take Israels side so then you loose the best friend the palestinians have ever had. Eventually you accept the fact it didn't work and it slowly winds down but you have put you have harmed your cause, lost your friends,... you loose it all So whats the point of starting an intefada that eventually you will loose unless you get a kick out of killing yourselves and like suffering?
