1. what good is the probe?
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (03.20.10)
The Arabs do not believe the probe. By the time that they finish the probe, the media will have roasted Israel royally. When they find out he was killed by an Arab bullet no one will believe it. What is the probe for??
2. A better question
Frank ,   Canada   (03.20.10)
Who fired the bullet which killed this guy? Is this another Pallywood?
3. Don't Riot And You Won't Get Killed
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (03.20.10)
We cannot tolerate ANY Arab violence, because the minute they see that they can get away with it, they will increase it. If they threaten violence, then we must shut them down- lock them down under curfew until they relent.
4. Why no shootings when Haredi were throwing rocks?
(03.20.10)
5. #1 what's the use of IDF probing itself
observer   (03.20.10)
one the following will be the end result of the probe: >>soldiers' indiscriminate shooting is not killing on purpose, rather by accident. >>no autopsy by Israelis; no proof. >>X-ray and CT don't prove that it is not rubber coated bullet, neither would those rule out that shooting was posthumous. >>live ammunition never used by soldiers-even if it was under their hands in life threatening situation. >>never is there something like Israwood. >>soldiers can shoot anywhere; it's all Jewish land. >>even though there is compelling proof, Israel will never deny on confirm.
6. the settlers
palestinian ,   jerusalem ,palestine   (03.20.10)
are trying to take over the only water well remaining for the whole village . they are doing it every day under the IDF eyes and their blessing . the creator will reward our dead and punish the aggressor . live ammunition was fired ,IDF is lying ,as usual .
7. Rock Analysis Needed
Johan Odin ,   Oslo, Norway   (03.20.10)
I find it rather hard to believe that that the rocks thrown by Palestinian protesters are any more deadly than a rocks thrown by Israeli protesters such as the parking lot rioters etc., so unless there was some study that shows that the composition of Palestinian thrown rocks is unique, then the obvious conclusion must be that the green light to shoot rock throwing protesters applies only to the Palestinians.
8. Bcos he was shot in head,it doesnt mean IL shot him!
Alan ,   SA   (03.21.10)
How can anyone say it was an Israeli soldier who shot him .Yes he was shot in head -but why is it an Israeli that did it . I have been expecting such an outcome-a Pallywood Al Dura outcome. Hes a kind of sacrificial lamb of the Pals
9. #4 because Haredim can never be terrorists

10. Again, irresponsible journalism
Concerned Canadian ,   Toronto, Canada   (03.21.10)
Does YNetNews pretend to be a responsible media source? How can this story be told without a historical context of the recent conflicts between the village of Burin and the settlement of Bracha? Claims of violence from settlers on a WEEKLY basis, including uninvestigated claims of arson, livestock theft, and vandalism has led to constant riots and protests. Why is it that only one side of the story is being reported? It makes it seems that the Palestinians were just rioting "as usual" and the IDF regrettably had to shoot them... What irresponsible journalism!
11.  a bullet
palestinian ,   palestine   (03.21.10)
in the Brain CT scan ..now they are going to say ..it was not for the right pt . they are showing any picture .
12. To: No. 7
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.21.10)
The rocks thrown by settlers are rocks that could not shatter the windshield of a car. The rioting Palestinians throw cinderblocks that shatter the windshields of cars. They also set tires aflame. Trust I have answered your rather stupid question.
13. Their teachings are warped
Agent 007.5 ,   USA   (03.21.10)
Consider this: they believe that to die as a martyr is to go to paradise to have sex with virgins...blah, blah, blah. So if a Pali killed two birds with one stone, i.e. shot one of his own to set him off on the trip to heavenly orgies, and at the same time gained propaganda value against Israel, wouldn't the shooting be justified in their warped minds?
14. Strange, Palestinian live fire killed an innocent civilian
Brian Cohen ,   PeoplesFront ofJudea   (03.21.10)
Why is there no probe? Why no call by human rights organizations for the whacko terrorists who fired the deadly qassam rocket to be immediately arrested by Hamas? Oh right, because they don't care. Only Palestinians have human rights these days. Even worse, we all see that the Palestinians don't have to obey international human rights laws either.
15. Disguistingly misleading picture.
JamesH   (03.21.10)
"We had an entry and exit of a bullet. We do not have a bullet"
16. X-Ray photo
Daniel ,   UK   (03.21.10)
Exactly what life-threatening situation could the IDF soldiers have been facing that made them have to shoot an unarmed teen in the head from behind? The bullet has entered through the BACK of his head. The IDF's probe (like most of their 'investigations') is totally incoherent. First it claims that no live fire was used, and then claims the troops were in a life-threatening situation so use of live fire was justified. Why are they providing justification for something which they claim never happened anyway? This is just like when the IDF repeatedly denied having ever bombed a certain mosque during the Gaza invasion and insisted it was a Hamas propaganda trick to slander them, and then when it became increasingly clear that nobody was taking their denials seriously they claimed that the mosque was full of terrorists, and then a year afterwards admitted they did bomb that mosque but insisted the worshippers were terrorists. If you're going to lie you need to get your story straight first.
17. Thank the Obama/Clinton team for the riots and their victims
Mark ,   Arlington, VA USA   (03.21.10)
18. who send a child to violant riot.
ghostq   (03.21.10)
their parents don't care so y any prob should be needed, their parents should be behind bars. it was rubber bullet, and left wingers just trying to make troubles as usuall, they should be behind bars, for incoraging people and especially children to risk their lives.
19. to #9 actually they can NK can easily turn to
ghostq   (03.21.10)
serve the terrorists that belong to the palis, and that if palis will pay them, so yes the ultra ultra orthodox should be under close eye.
20. xray shows bullet but
(03.21.10)
the doctor said "We had an entry and exit of a bullet. We do not have a bullet." I am confused.
21. to #16 would you send your child to violant riot?
ghostq   (03.21.10)
I doubt it, but palis do that.
22. 16.dannyboy
JAMES ,   LONDON   (03.21.10)
Go bark up anouther tree with your guardian mindset....
23. Obvious need for a verified pathology report
Ilan ,   Ariel   (03.21.10)
Without the recovered bullet it would not be possible to identify who fired the lethal shots. The PA should invite an IDF pathologist in order to properly investigate this.
24. #16 - if the bullet came into the back of his head
rebecca ,   Modiin   (03.21.10)
And one assumes he was watching where he was throwing stones, ie he was facing the IL, what does that say about who shot the kid. You make a mockery of the thought process G-d gave us, so your conclusion that the IL are the bad guys is worthless.
25. #20 Qaduses killed
observer   (03.21.10)
one with entry and exit of a bullet in the chest. The other Qadus with a bullet in the head. if you had read further in the article you could have concluded the reason; "IDF fears fiercer riots"
26. #16 anatomy of the Gaza mosque case
observer   (03.21.10)
The IDF released a video claiming to show evidence that Hamas had used a mosque, also in Beit Lahya, to store weapons, but an analysis of the video casts doubt on the claim; the secondary explosion in the bombed mosque was nothing but a second missile. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2AR2kgWBBY In July 2009, the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a report stating that, "the IDF inquiry revealed that the mosque was not attacked at all.
27. from the X-ray photo;
observer   (03.21.10)
>>the bullet tip is directed to the front i.e. the shot came to the back of victim's head; life threatened soldiers wouldn't have shot at back of heads. Okay! shot from the Palestinian side; wait for autopsy and "matching" with suspected gun bullet. >>dent-like canal is computer-density artifact from metal bullet not uncommon with CT scout X-ray pictures.
28. Why are the Palestinians so obviously lying?
JPS ,   Efrat   (03.21.10)
Look at the x-ray photo. Then read the quote from the Palestinian doctor Mahmoud Qaadan: "We had an entry and exit of a bullet. We do not have a bullet, but this type of injuries with entry and exit wounds are only created by live ammunition and not by rubber-coated bullets." A beautiful example of Palestinian propaganda taking YNET's editor by the nose and leading him/her down the path of clear obfuscation. YNET should have put a caption on the x-ray that said "Suspicious X-ray clearly contradicts statement by Palestinian doctor." YNET again falls into the trap laid by Palestinian propagandists, and the truth is the victim yet again.
29. to #26 ammm the riots r in jerusalem
ghostq   (03.21.10)
not in GAZA, you know all your info is worthless.
30. where did the bullets come from?
tom ,   toronto, canada   (03.21.10)
after supplying the palestinian anarchy with tens of thousands of rifles and millions of rounds of ammunition, in the name of "supporting the moderate abbas", perhaps someone should think to ask american general keith dayton where the bullets came from? it is entirely possible that the live ammunition was not fired by israeli troops - it's somewhat suspicious that there is a bullet hole but no bullet, which might have provided forensic evidence (the rifles that israel supplied to the palestinian forces were test fired). but clearly some groups on the palestinian side are moving to create a "spontaneous uprising", starting with what they call "martyrdom operations", and a carefully stage-managed media campaign.
