Why does it matter why or who may have bobbytrapped those bags? That is not the point of the matter, the issue is that the IDF endangered the life of a child by forcing him to do the job of a soldier – can you not grasp the moral depravity involved here by the IDF soldiers involved in this case? Why should our soldiers be killed? Hopefully they will not be harmed or killed but the simple fact is that they are paid to take these risks – they are not paid to use children to do their job for them nor are they paid to deliberately endanger the civilians by using them as human shields. As for the circumstances push us to behave in this immoral way, well we may face difficult and dangerous circumstances each day (from where I live I can tell you all about it) however this does NOT justify any immoral actions by the IDF (or any other Israeli for that matter). Blaming our actions on difficult and dangerous circumstances is only an excuse not to take responsibility for our own mortal direction. Likewise it is no use to blame the Russians or Druzes. If you believe that we have to bend the rules because the other side does then we are no better than them. Personally I think we lost or moral direction about 20 years ago because of people like you who are willing to ignore and accept our failings as a Jewish nation and let these problems fester unchecked.
