6. #3 Bill - Wrong religon, Jews are not Goyim
YItzi ,   Bet Shemesh   (03.23.10)
The Torah is Eternal, Jews do not eat pork. You are referring to the religion of Paul a christian who changed even the laws of kosher followed by his demigod.
7. #1 we already know the answer to that one.
Josh   (03.24.10)
Just look at all the Torah the Rabbis violate. Especially Dev 4:2 How about the wine libation sacrafice to the enternal human that lives in heaven? Eliyahoo gets a sacrafice but G-d gets nothing. Sorry he gets a broken bone. The sacrices are not to give a lamb woth a broken bone so we give no lamb and a broken/cut bone. Bet Sukkoth will be a five day sacrifce fest to the ghosts (ushpanzim) of the fathers for our blessing while once again G-d gets no sacrafice. I would say if the Gemorrah script said sacrice a sus, they would do it, because aparently no one wants to pass the test of Devarim 13. Aparently the claimed rule of not sacraficing to G-d where ever you want is not binding to pagans.
8. #6 - Jews are indeed not Goyim.
John ,   NYC, USA   (03.24.10)
You are 100% correct. However, we are taught to love all our brothers. Even with their faults. Remember these wise words, "One does not become pure simply by what he chooses to put into his mouth. Rather, one becomes pure by what one chose to come out of his mouth". Dwell upon it, my brother.

Although I don't subscribe to any religion, we know this about Jesus: 1. He was a Jew. 2.He took up his father's trade. 3. He lived at home into his 30's and 4. his mother thought he was God. Now which one of you will face a Jewish mother and tell her that she is wrong about her son? Also, I know for sure that God never spoke to anybody, especially with regard to food. If He/She had touched on the subject, pork and shrimp would be in and boiled okra would definitely be out.
10. Paul?
Harvest ,   former USA   (03.24.10)
Yeshua NEVER ate pork or commanded that it was okay to do so (he upheld the Torah perfectly), He spoke against the oral traditions of men which oftentimes intend to override the Torah with man-made ideas and concepts. Be blessed.

I agree, love your neighbor and pray for those that wish to do you harm, G-D will take care of everything.

I understand your belief, based on your rejection of Christ as the Messiah; but consider, what if you are wrong? Daniel 9:24-27: "24Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate"...
13. # 8 "Jews are not Goyim"
Sagi   (03.24.10)
Well Sir, what you just stated is very confusing. The word "Goyim" means Nations. In that context it was used each time it was written in the Torah. So Jews are not a Nation ? You will have a lot of admirers on that one.
14. To John #8
M. Hartley ,   Atlanta, US   (03.24.10)
I don't quite understand why #13 explained "Goyim" to you, when you only agreed with #6, someone from Bet Shemesh. Although I haven't come across it, maybe there's a chapter in somebody's Collection of Myths and Fairy Tales to the effect that what is said by a Jewish person is valid, whereas the same thing stated by a John in NYC is wrong or at least subject to interpretations, all depending on what branch of which religion you want to hang your hat. Since the tax breaks are probably considerable, I think I'll start a new religion: THE WORLDWIDE CONGREGATION OF I'M ALWAYS RIGHT AND YOU'RE ALWAYS WRONG.
15. Pt 2
Steve in USA ,   USA   (03.24.10)
This prophesy gave the exact time THE Messiah would come and be cut off in weeks of years format. The starting point is the commandment to restore and bulid Jerusalem. This starting point is when Artaxerxes, king of Persia came to Jerusalem to Ezra. Ezra left Babylon and came to Jerusalem in Artaxerxes' seventh year, the year of the decree, his journey lasting four months (Ezra 7:8-9), and occurring during the first five months of the year - from Nisan in 457, corresponding to our April, to the month Ab, corresponding to our August. The prophecy was that FROM the year of the issuance of Artaxerxes' decree there would be "seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks" - till the appearance of the Messiah. The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times" (Dan. 9:25). It took seven prophetic weeks, or 49 years (a year for a day) to complete this rebuilding. The troublous times are described in Nehemiah 4. This carries us from 457 to 408 B.C. After 62 more weeks, or 434 years (from 408 B.C.), the Messiah is on the scene (verse 26). In other words, from 457 B.C., in the fall, till CHRIST appeared on the scene, there were to be SIXTY-NINE PROPHETIC WEEKS (7 + 62) - a total of 69 times 7 or 483 years! To what year does this bring us? Just 483 years after 457 B.C. brings us to exactly A.D. 27 since there is no year 0. What happened in A.D. 27. This is the year that Jesus began His ministry!..
16. Pt 3
Steve in USA ,   USA   (03.24.10)
But that is not all...it also predicted when the Messiah would be cut off and when and when the city and the sanctuary would be destroyed: Verse 26, Daniel 9, "And AFTER threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be CUT OFF, but not for himself." We true Christians know that Christ paid our sin debt in full for us by paying the price for us by shedding his blood and dying on the cross. When you take into account the length of Christ's ministry, you can calculate that Christ was cut off at the appointed time the Messiah would be. 483 years after the decree to restore Jerusalem it was destroyed by the Romans under Titus in A.D. 70, right on time with Daniel 9...
17. pt 4,

Finally the remaining part of the prophesy regards the future world leader that Antiochus Epophanes forshadowed. This is the last 7 year part of the 70 7's. The first 69 were consecutive, but there seems to be a pause right after they were fullfilled; why? Could it be for the Church Age? If you believe, as some do that Daniel 9:25 refers to Cyrus, then "your" messiah should have come even before Chirst was born; who was he then? Same holds true if Antiochus Epiphenes was the one who fulfilled the rest of the prophesy. If that is the case, then who was your Messiah? Furthermore, Cyrus's decree regarded only the Temple, but Daniel 9 uses decree is to rebuld Jerusalem as the benchmark, which was through Artaxerxes!

Finally, Isaiah 53 decribes the life of Jesus perfectly, and even predicts that the Jews will not recognize Him when he comes and will not esteem Him in anyway (Verse 1-4). In fact, Jesus fulfilled over 300 Messianic prophesies Himself. Paul did not found Christianity, Christ did! Paul, when His name was Saul, killed Christians becuase they were Christians, what do you think made him become argueably the best missionary for Christ the world has ever seen? What do you think made all but one of Jesus's apostles to be killed for their faith in Him, if he was a lie?! I don't expect to convert you. But do read Zechariah 12, the first part is happening now, the second part will happen soon.

Your wit and humor never fail to raise at least a smile and usually a good laugh. Don't you think that Mary would have settled for a lawyer or a doctor, professions of substance, rather than the somewhat ethereal job of "Son of God". As to your statement # 1, I would like to comment thus. We do not know that he was a Jew owing to the fact that we do not know if the verb "to be" "esse" can be applied to him. Not one shred of scientific evidence has ever come to light as to his actual existence, neither archeological or historical. The first ever mention of his name in writing came some sixty or so years after his "death" and the Gospels were written some 140 years after his "death". "Is you is or is you ain't my baby"

I honestly don't care who did or didn't live where or when. I'm just thankful I made it. But since you brought up Latin, in which I'm well-versed, here's something just for you: Two orthodox Jews went to Pincus the tailor for new suits. "Listen, Pincus," one said, "the last suits you made for us were sort of gray. We want black suits; the darkest black we can get." "See this cloth?" Pincus said, fingering a bolt of fabric. "This is the stuff they make nuns' outfits from. There ain't nothing blacker than this." A few weeks later the two men were walking down the street in their new suits when they passed two nuns. Impulsively, one of them sidled up to one of the nuns and matched his suit against her outfit. Becoming angry, he muttered something to his friend and they walked off. "What did that man want?" one nun asked the other. "I don't know," she replied, "He just looked at my garment and said something in Latin." "In Latin??? What did he say?" "He said, 'Pincus Fuctus'."

Of coase the Gospels had to be written 140 years after Christ's death, so they couldn't be written by the actual Apostles, right? I get it, oh but wait, you have proof of this, right?! What about Tacitus (55-117), Suetonius (70-160), Velleius Paterculus (a contemporary), and Dio Cassius (3rd century) Josephus (37-100)? Pliny the Younger (A.D. 112), what about the Talmud?

When I was very young I was warned never to kiss a Nun. Why I asked. Very dangerous, came the reply. You may get into the habit.

Lewis Caroll wrote "Alice" and A.A. Milne wrote "Winnie". Some folks who called themselves "disciples" wrote "Jesus". The story became a best seller. All the names you stated are people who wrote the name from hearsay and ex post facto, nothing more and nothing less, this is an historical fact. No contemporay of Jesus ever wrote or stated that he saw him or heard of him. Beside all this, believing in "God" is, in my opinion stupidity incarnate, believing in "A Son of God" is so ridiculous and ludicrous that in order to sell the story and compound the myth the "Virgin birth" was added. All this goes to show how feeble is the mind of Man.

A nun gets into a cab, and notices that the VERY handsome cab driver won't stop staring at her. She asks him why he is staring. He replies: "I have a question to ask you, but I don't want to offend you." She answers, "Son, you cannot offend me. I’ve seen and heard just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could say or ask that I would find offensive." "Well, I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me." She responds, "Well, let's see what we can do about that, BUT: #1, you have to be single and #2, you must be Catholic." The cab driver is very excited and says, "Yes, I'm single and Catholic!" "OK" the nun says. "Pull into the next alley." And so the nun fulfills his fantasy with a kiss that would make a hooker blush. But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts to cry uncontrollably. The nun says, "Why are you crying?" "I hope that you can forgive me for being so terribly dishonest. I'm actually married and Jewish." The nun says, "Heck, that's OK. My name is David and I'm actually dressed up and on the way to a Purim party.”

I am a Jew. I do not believe in Jesus as the Son of G-d. There are many reasons for this, which I will not go into now. But I do not care what someone else believes. What is important to me is how that person acts and relates to his/her fellow human beings on this earth. In how long a time was the world created? Six days or billions of years? I don't care for a reconciliation as each provides different parameters for interesting discussion. I treat different religions the same way. Judaism is the best religion...for me. Let others pick the best religion for themselves as long as they treat others well; aka adhere to the Laws of Noah.

people and the Jewish state.... please understand that the Jewish people exiled to all 4 conrers of the globe have endured a collective suffering that horror movies could not do justice to, and for millenium. Be it humiliation, rape, murder, theft, mocking, slavery, you name it it happened en masse. Alas much of it , the harshest of things in the past 1700 years was done in the name of Jesus. And so that is why you experience a knee jerk reaction when someone comes in a talkback and tells us to eat pork as #3, and that God said so. Love will win, but lecturing wont.
