travel in Egypt in the recent past for vacations but this did not seem to deter many Israelis. I recall, growing up in the USA, that there were absolute injunctions against American citizens from travelling in certain countries including, but not limited to, North Korea and Cuba. Wouldn't it make more sense for the Israeli government to unilaterally disallow citizens from travelling to designated countries where they would be put at undue risk. Then, if they did, not only would these citizens be guilty of disobeying the law but Israel itself could not be held responsible nor accountable for their well-being. I know the Israeli character is rather anarchical in nature so maybe the citizenry, especially the young adults, wouldn't listen anyway. Nonetheless ... boy am I getting old!

Every couple months we hear of another dumb nut fool going to the shit holes of the world looking for adventure and having theirs heads handed to them. Its a common event and like the weather we cant do a thing about it. These selfish creeps then have the chutzpah to demand the Israeli government save their sorry ass. Well I say let them and their equally selfish families eat crow and learn a difficult lesson. It may not be the PC thing to say but I am sure most would agree.

those travel warnings have been issued not just to Israelis, but to Europeans and Americans- so traveling with a 'foreign' passport wont make a difference.The terrorists have kidnapped British, French, Spanish nationals- what makes him think an Israeli would be safer?
