our father, our son, our brother, our friend. May Hashem comfort you among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. May the evil left wing that pushes Israel to sacrifice its own over those of the enemy, perish. Then this type of thing wont happen nearly as often, and Israel will hold its head higher.

I am at a loss for words. What a big loss for our nation. For the families. May G-d console them and help them in this time of crisis. I hope and pray that we'll have no more fallen soldiers. No more beraved families. Please G-d. Save us.

My heart goes out to the families of these brave beautiful young men. Know that the pain is shared by all of us, we are all family.
7. The Prophet Isaiah said God would walk His people through
Rivkah   (03.27.10)
the fires and through the floods in chapter 43, but chapters 65 and 66 give a condition to that: God will not protect swine eaters and those who eat unclean foods. Such foods should be banned in Israel. All IDF soldiers should also sew blue threads with a few tassels on the four corners (hems) of ALL garments so that whatever they are wearing will be a prayer tent to the Lord. All IDF members should bow down on their knees facing Jerusalem three times a day like Daniel in the Bible did to pray to Y'hovah. Little things like that can create a bullet proof shield around a person if the Lord chooses to protect them. US Army Viet Nam War veteran Richard Denning of Minnesota survived three helicopter crashes when all others onboard died. William Krulak, a young US Marine officer long ago in Viet Nam stepped on land mines that would not explode when he stepped on them because of the Lord's protection. My husband has walked away from three collisions when trucks hit his vehicle that were not possible to survive. Same with me. Love the Lord with all your heart and try to honor the Saturday Shabbat when that is possible to do, so the Lord will protect you. Parents should pray three times a day for the safety of their children, especially when the sons and daughters are in the IDF.
8. Good riddance!
Terry ,   Chicago, IL   (03.27.10)
The two IDF soldiers were invading foreign territory, engaging a foreign military on its own land. I don't see how anything done by the Palestinians was a provocation. Enough with this victimization nonsense. Israeli forces have no business engaging adversaries beyond its borders, be it in Dubai, Sudan, Lebanon, Gaza, or Western Europe. Maybe then the "provocations" will stop.
9. May your memory be for a blessing
Zionist ,   Miami   (03.27.10)
The loss is heartbreaking. My heart goes out to the families.
10. Maybe Israel shouldn't be such an aggressor
Alas ,   TC   (03.27.10)
Had israel pulled out of palestine, made peace by the internationaly accepted 1967, these two men wouldn't have died. Hamas is not to blame for defending their land rightfuly. Israel entered Gaza, and not all of them made it out. Get over it.
11. NO SYMPATHY
Alas ,   TC   (03.27.10)
Why mourn for the zionists? This is but a fraction of the pain they have caused hundreds of thousands. The right thing for these families to do is realize this is how the palestinian nation feels everyday. I will not mourn for killers, and the people of the world will never mourn for such an irony.
12. Condolences

My heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones. Let us work towards peace in the Middle East. These senseless killings should come to an end. All Jews and Palestinians are children of the same great G-d.

had Israel abide by the international law and UN charter & resolutions endorsing the right of Palestinian people to self-determination of their own fate.

His answer is always violence but he never tells us he was in the IDF and was in the action. He never tells us his children are there on the front line. I think Jason White is very much the armchair general. Quick to react. Slow to think of the repercussions. Jason would have the Israeli government do the same thing that Hitler did when Reinhart Heydrich was assassinated. He wanted 10,000 Czechs shot but settled for all the males over the age 16 in the town of Lidice and Lezaky Czechoslovakia. How merciful. The Golani Brigade was inside Gaza. Israeli soldiers engaged in a battle with Palestinian soldiers. Soldiers on both sides were killed. Families On Both Side Mourn Today. Those are today's sad facts on the ground as you Israelis are so fond of saying. I tell you that violence is not the answer. Israelis will never have peace if they do not honestly look at themselves. The Palestinians are not the problem. Your government's apartheid laws, your cultural and religious intransigence, your theft of Palestinian land, your constant agitation for war with Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and your ideas of Jewish supremacy are the problem. Look in the mirror and you will see that you are your own worst enemy. Your your children's sake and for innocent Jews in the world, change your hearts.
25. peace and war
sam ,   world   (03.27.10)
violence brings violence,, what do you expect .... to throw flowers on your offending soldiers!!??!? come on ,, thousands of innocent people are murdered by your DEFENCE army! so stop the crocodile tears!!!

27. Any one's death should only cause pain
Ilana   (03.27.10)
There should be no rejoicing in someone's death. Even your enemy's. Shame on you.
28. malicious commenters reveal their degraded nature
steve ,   boston usa   (03.27.10)
The several commenters who sadistically celebrate the despair of the mother who lost her two brave sons reveal their savagery to the rest of us and reinforce what this battle is about and why the Jews remain a light unto the nations.
29. families mourn
debbie ,   israel   (03.27.10)
TERRY OF CHICAGO, You are a very stupid, ignorant, mis-informed bitter cruel man. You have the nerve to call this brutal, primitive, criminal terrorist entity known as HAMAS, a MILITARY? I would like to ship you for a few weeks to live in Gaza under Hamas, and then we will see if you still sing the same tune. If you still have the damn nerve to voice your stupid opinons so freely and vocally. You think this is a border conflict between "two militaries?" What an idiot you are. Israel pulled its citizens out of Gaza, at great emotional and physical price years ago. The Arabs, after having razed everything in site that the Israelis had built up there, and declared themselves to be poor and bankrupt, then continued to throw rockets into Israeli communities for years. I would like to see you TERRY live like this for one week, not knowing when a rocket will land on you or your childrens head (if you have any), and see what your opinion will be then.
