1. Who pays this people salaries?
Ricardo Macher ,   Karnei Shomron IL   (03.31.10)
Professor Algazi and all this pseudo intellectual friends should be kicked out of Israeli universities! They are helping the enemy but enjoying salaries payed by all of us, that's not logical, not fare and nothing more than stupid! Let him go to teach in Ramalah, for sure he will feel more comfortable there.
2. That's The Spirit !
Nour ,   Palestine   (03.31.10)
There's no difference between a so-called "Israeli Arab" and a "Palestinian Arab"; - they are both Palestinians! "Israeli Arab" and "Palestinian Arabs" are myths created by Israel to contain the native population into cantons, by drawing semantic divisions between them. Perhaps people on this talkback can borrow a leaf or two from enlightened people like Algazi.
3. Why I love Nasrallah
Salma ,   Palestine   (03.31.10)
1. Because he is honest 2. Because it is sincere to what believe 3. Because he is sure of himself 4. Because when he speaks I feel safe 5. Because he is modest and simple 6. Because he sees his fighters, as a real sons 7. Because he does what he says Personally, I'm not sure yet that Mr. Nasrallah is able to go to war in order to reclaim Palestine... However, I adore him although it is rare for me to love religious man
4. I get it
Hunter   (03.31.10)
2 traitors speak to a crowd of Israeli citizens who are waving pictures of 2 people who have pledged to destroy Israel. I get it the Arabs in Israel want to destroy the state and 2 self-hating Israeli Jews want to help them. Oh I almost forgot, the professor gets his salary paid by the government.
5. Needs and Dreams you DEAD
Truthhurts ,   Washington DC   (03.31.10)
Not sure how you reconcile that when their dreams and needs are for you Jewish people to not exist.
6. "Israel's neighbors' dreams..." amount to one thing:
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (03.31.10)
to annihilate the Jewish state of Israel and erase any trace of Jewish existence from this Land. Why should Israel accept this dream? Would any other country, would any other society do so? And why single out the Jewish people to commit a collective suicide? Isn't it a form of racism, anti-Jewish racism at that...??!!
7. so long as israeli-arab civil citizens needs yes. dreams?
ralph   (03.31.10)
move out. no dreams of arab lands in israel. everybody including leftists move out to jordan
8. Professor is a liar
soludo   (03.31.10)
First, there are no "Palestinians" in Israel. Second, ALL Israeli citizens have the same rights. Arabs want community rights, not individual rights. In other words, they want privileges over the native (Jewish) population of the country. Professor, you're a big fat liar, and your incitement to military insubordination is simply criminal.
9. #2
israeli ,   israel   (03.31.10)
That is why perhaps they should move to Jordan, after all it got over 70% of the Palestine.
10. #Salma #3
israeli ,   israel   (03.31.10)
Ask him to marry you and join him in his bunker where you can enjoy his presence full time.
11. History prof inexcusably ignorant
Lbnaz   (03.31.10)
about Native American and First Nation history to the point of sounding like a racist bigot. "At least they got alcohol and casinos" is a disgusting remark that at once whitewashes the land and resource theft, killing, residential school abuse, etc. faced by Native Americans and First Nations in N. America and consoles their suffering much as Marie Antoinette consoled the French underclasses with: "Let them eat cake". This so called History prof should be fired for mouthing off like an absolute idiot, or at least transfer out of the history department.
12. TO # 10 Your thinking is very limited. :)
Salma ,   Palestine   (03.31.10)
13. Typical leftist dribble from a so called acedemic..
Paul ,   USA   (03.31.10)
hardly worth commenting on. Most universities are infested with this type of nonsense. He's Israels Ward Churchill ! LOL.
14. wrong reading
Hebrew reader ,   Tel Aviv   (03.31.10)
Read the Hebrew and you'll realize he did not say this.
15. land day
sheila siderow ,   new york usa   (03.31.10)
how many chamberlain's can history support and believe. it is time to sift out the professors who love Israel and those who wish to surrender in the name of peace, Now they have a best friend in USA, Obama, the Muslim
16. we need to change, accept the other thus be accepted by pale
zionist forever   (03.31.10)
Typical academics view we change so the other side will accept us. The bedouin are no native Americans, the arabs could have equal rights they just need to make more of an effort to integrate into OUR SOCIETY. Arab schools & exclusive education system. Arab gehto type areas where they live & want jews excluded from moving into the area. Arabs take the attitude of us against the jews. Arabs openly supporting palestinians & other enemies of Israel but at the same time saying they are proud Israeli citizens to get the benefits that entails. The bedouin build ILLEGAL villages on land that is not theirs but then they complain they are being discriminated when the state wants them to leave or doesn't connect them up to the local infastructure. The government is refusing to allow the arabs in the Galilee to build in certain areas around the Kineret for conservation but the arabs then say the jews are moving them off their land. Jews want to build themselves homes in Jaffa the arabs riot say the jews cannot live there. Tibi says any arab who does national service ( civilian or military ) will be treated like a leper but we allow him to get away with it. When arabs start acting like PATRIOTIC Israeli citizens, chose to live with jews, when a terrorist blows up a bus or fires a rocket starts calling him a terrorist instead of a martyr then we will make progress and relations between jews & arabs will get better. Until then they will remain an undesirable minority who are going to feel like outcasts. As for the academics who think they have all the answers ( Israel change so the arab world will accept it ) then let them make their speeches but only a small minority of fellow idealists who think surrender is the best option will be taking any notice.
17. Exactly, #13
Cameron ,   USA   (03.31.10)
Those yammering, finger-wagging types made me smile with contempt during my university days, and even more so as the years go by. What a uniquely pompous breed the academic lot are.
18. ONE ARAB MAN'S DREAMS ARE AN ISRAELI'S NIGHTMARE
dav zee ,   ATL,USA   (03.31.10)
PUT THE SHOE ON THE OTHER FOOT...
19. # 16
Birdi ,   Israel   (03.31.10)
BRAVO, Zionist Forever, you post says it all.
20. Israel should't allow such "professors" in our universities.
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.31.10)
The idea of a "professor" collecting a generous salary from Israel while helping our genocidal enemies is despicable. Israel should not allow such "professors" in our universities. This is pure treachery.
21. #1 answer
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (03.31.10)
Gadi Algazi is a member of the Ta'ayush organization that is funded by the "New Israel Fund". He is doing it for the money.
22. Tel Aviv University
Michel ,   Jerusalem   (03.31.10)
again, and again, and again ...
23. Beduin are NOT like the Native Americans - they rotated land
Scott ,   USA   (04.01.10)
The Native Americans were not like the Bedouin. The American Indians (whatever you called them) were overwhelmingly sedentary farmers or gatherers. They did not migrate. (The Plains Culture was an innovation. It followed wild animals, not flocks and only began after the 1750s when horses arrived. they were highly territorial. The Bedouin were all migratory. They rotated control of land by season, depending on the type of livestock they raised, goats, sheep, camels, or horses -- and the people they raided. No single tribe "owned" territory all to themselves. There is no exclusive Bedouin ownership of land.
24. Professor
Rosie   (04.01.10)
He gets his salary from the State of Israel which he delegitimizes. He gets tax-payers' money to poison our youth (students).
