1. Isolation
Sherman ,   USA   (04.02.10)
The only way to deal with Hamas is to isolate them until they recognize Israel right to exist and renounce violence.
2. Obama will support Hamas before Israel
Steve from Raleigh   (04.02.10)
It's axiomatic. Obama will welcome with open arms and recognize the People's Free Democratic Islamic Republic of Hamas before it lets up on Israel. Obama will of course agree that its capital is in West Jerusalem.
3. Just as the Obama administration spit on gentlemen ...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.02.10)
... agreements reached by his predecessor with Israel's government, the same administration is now spitting at the commitment previous US governments have made to avoid dealing with Hamas, directly or indirectly, as long as Hamas: 1. Does not accept Israel's right to exist as the nation-state of the Jewish people 2. Does not cease all acts of terror and violence against Israel and Israelis 3. Accept previous agreements reached with Israel and signed by the parties It is the same Obama/Clinton administration that demands of Jews, only because they are Jewish, to refrain from residing in certain neighborhoods of their capital city. And it is the same administration that is silent when the leaders of the PA call for an Intifada, e.g. throwing stones and fire bombs at police officers while elevating the names of mass murderers of Jews and naming squares in their names in the middle of their capital city of Ramallah. Jews of America: Don't follow the acts of your forefathers of the 1930s and 1940s. Raise your voices now before it will be too late...!!!
4. Obama keeps betraying Israel
Dan ,   Titusville   (04.02.10)
When will Jews realize that Obama who bowed low before the King of Saudi Arabia is a visceral threat to Israel and Jews everywhere. Ready to willingly accept Iran as a nuclear power, Obama will sacrifice Israel so he can say he achieved peace. No other US President has bowed low before any despot until Obama. Having a heritage of physical slavery and willingly accepting of economic slavery, Obama feels he must be subservient to everyone. Obama sat with his Rev. Wright who preached filth and a hatred of Israel & Jews for 20 years. We must be prepared to act on our own interests to save ourselves. Obama will do NOTHING to help Israel.
5. Isn't it obvious to all: Obama is eager to interact with
Steve Kaplan ,   Minneapolis, MN   (04.02.10)
the Islamists of Hamas before interacting with the prime minister of the sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people, Israel. None of the covers and promises by the "ex-diplomats" matter. These people are Obama's agents who are there to represent him in front of the mass murderers of bus loads of children and their mothers. But the slaughtered are Jews, thus it is less important to Him.
6. The Obama Administration
Eyal ,   USA   (04.02.10)
Shame on you Obama. You will fail big in the next elections, you terrorist lover.
7. Hussein Obama
Shimshon ,   sfat   (04.02.10)
Hussein Obama is an antisemtic antizionist. When will the news outlets report it as such or will they wait for the history books to report it. The sooner we get past the denial the sooner his administration can be dealt with.
8. Watch, Obama will bow to them also
bmos ,   chashmonaim, Israel   (04.02.10)
It's only a matter of time where he will officially meet with them
9. A-ZAHAR SHOULD HAVE BEEN ARRESTED IN ZURICH
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne,   (04.02.10)
As far as I'm aware murder, kidnapping and being an accessory to them are still serious criminal offences in civilised countries.A-Zahar openly negotiated a ransom for the kidnapped Gilad Shalit on behalf of his kidnappers and is definitely an accessory to kidnapping,at the very least.. It's deplorable that Israel has not asked Interpol to place him and the rest of his cronies onto the Red List, that we've heard so much about lately,so that he would have been arrested in Zurich. Unlike the alleged suspects to the death of a terrorist in Dubai,A-Zahar's identity and involvement in serious crime are definitely known because he acted openly, yet he's treated like an honoured diplomat by the US administration. That says all there needs to be said about Obama's administration's foreign policy. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
10. Not for nothing, but ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.02.10)
The United States has identified Hamas as a terrorist organization. There are about six federal statutes which prohibit United States citizens from ANY contact, directly or indirectly, with members of a known terrorist organization. The penalties are severe, particularly under the Patriot Act and the Homeland Security Act. These former "diplomats" should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. That there is tacit evidence that the content of the "discussions" which private United States citizens have had with members of terrorist organizations have been made available to willing listeners in the White House means that the current administration is violating United States law. Impeachment is not just a dream; it is rapidly becoming a necessity. The American people should send the community organizer packing -- assuming he can pass the test, he can always hire on as a census taker. His community organizer skills should serve him in good stead as he goes from door to door, taking head counts. He'll certainly do a better job at that than he has been doing as president.
11. Isn't Malley from J Street?
Sally ,   U.S.A.   (04.02.10)
Also, didn't he write some article proposing a "one state solution?" Look, face facts, Obama is a pro-Arabist, has absolutely no foreign policy experience, has insulted many of the US's friends & has in one year of office, DOUBLED the US debt. Israel needs to concentrate on Iran - that is the danger.
12. As a fellow muslum, o-BUM-a has the best intrests of ham-ass
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (04.02.10)
at heart. And, there will still be communist, leftist Jews that would donate money to him if he proposed to bulldoze Auschwitz and turn it into a mosque.
13. "ex-diplomats perform autopsy in zurich"
eporue ,   europe   (04.02.10)
hamas is dead. two ex-whatever examined two hamas-bodies, which they could bring through immigration...for learning purposes... nobody "talks" to those bozos... surprising, that they they really still travel that careless ? after all what happened to mahbouh ? when was this conversation ? how many bodyguards did they come with ?
14. Why do they do it?
Muhannad ,   Washington DC   (04.02.10)
Appeasers know very well that talking to terrorists legitimizes them. Why do they do it under the veil of engagement then? Because they are more interested in the glory of peace than its effect. Remember Oslo?
15. I am not surprised one bit. Obama, who I am sure, sent these
Norman ,   Lake Worth, FL U.S.A   (04.02.10)
people, is after all a follower of Rev. Wright and a long time friend of Min. Farakhan. And despite the fact that this information has been circulating all over, the President didn't find it appropriate to deny it once. And with friends like Farakhan and mentors like Wright, why shouldn't Obama collaborate with the mass murderers of Hamas?
16. Impeachment? Snort! How utterly moronic...
Michael Hess ,   Charlotte, NC   (04.02.10)
17. Sarah
Eyal ,   USA   (04.02.10)
I agree but I think Hussain can override it and no one will do anything to stop him.
18. I guess they will soon be meeting with al-Queada
Cynic ,   USA   (04.02.10)
19. To: Eyal at No. 17
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.02.10)
Wait until the November elections -- there is every indication that the Democrats will lose an enormous number of seats in the House and of the 36 Senate seats up for re-election (18 of which are held by Democrats, and 18 by Republicans), the Democrats will be lucky to retain five. Currently, there are 57 Democrats, 41 Republicans and two Indies. The Republicans will not have an advantage, but keep in mind that there are about eleven Democratic senators who consistently cross the aisle. What's Obama going to do? Call out the army (he is, after all, the commander in chief)? I don't think so. He has to go. He is very bad for the United States, and the American people are recognizing this in ever-increasing numbers. Just look at his popularity and approval ratings -- they are plummeting like a stone. Shabat shalom, Eyal.
20. 19 - Sarah
Eyal ,   USA   (04.02.10)
Same to you Sarah. Enjoy
21. Another reason to vote Republican this November
Lobo ,   USA   (04.02.10)
Obama. Supports. Terrorists. Nuff Said. It's too bad that he listens to terrorists' demands, but not to those of the people who voted him into the White House. Get him outta there, FAST!
22. # 3 thank you for your appropriate call to American Jews
Steve Kaplan ,   Minneapolis, MN   (04.02.10)
I am afraid, however, that most of them are intoxicated by the black orator from Chicago and can't hear the sounds of their Jewish hearts any longer.
23. Norman, there's nothing you can do about it...
Michael Hess ,   Charlotte, NC   (04.02.10)
...you are totally helpless and powerless to do a thing about President Obama's policy on Israel. Maybe you could move to Israel since you seem to feel that an American President should forget about what's best for the US? We can no longer keep allowing Israel to break international law while accepting American cash. BDS, getting stronger everyday.
24. Jedudah, you over-estimate the US President's power...
Michael Hess ,   Charlotte, NC   (04.02.10)
...you see, former President George W. Bush simply did not have the power to authorize Israel to break international law, nor did he possess the power to unilaterally discard long-standing resolutions against Israel's unlawful actions. In other words, the "exchange of letters" was worthless, even as a curio. Israel's only hope is to start following international law and give up the land and resource theft that has brought it to this precipice. Time's up.
25. Malley & incorrect assertions by other blogger
Sally ,   U.S.A.   (04.03.10)
Michael Hess, contrary to your incorrect assertion, Israel has NOT violated international law by "building." Rather than throwing around incorrect terminology and resorting to calumnies, if you have a point to make, back it up. Additonally, Malley was the only person, after the negotiations with Arafat (which he rejected twice), to conclude that Arafat was not the cause of a failure to reach an agreement. Even former president Clinton diagreed with Malley & declared himself a failure & blamed it on Arafat. Therefore, given Malley's past unreliable, bias assessments, I believe any report that he gives to the Obama administration will be along the same vein.
