1. Pesach ended at 7:30pm in Israel
Shalom Hartman   (04.06.10)
so why was chametz being sold from 5:30pm?
2. #1 because people have a choice
Avi ,   Israel   (04.06.10)
Hate to break it to you but Israel is still a democracy. If you wish not to eat hametz that’s your choice but it is also our choice to eat what we want and not to be dictated to by a religious belief that we do not share or claim to live by . The day you impose religious law on non believers is the day freedom and democracy dies and I for one will fight with every last breath for that right
3. Pizza the most chametz?
NYC Girl   (04.06.10)
Exactly what determines which foods are the most chametz? When my grandfather was a kid on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, every candy store was closed during Passover...because eating chocolate was about the biggest sin a Jew could commit next to eating bread. Yet now you can find Kosher for Passover chocolate everywhere you look.
4. #2 bravo!

You may not have heard, but Muslims are imposing their religious belief that Jews are not allowed to pray on the Temple Mount. Will you also fight to support Jewish prayer on the Temple Mount?
5. Trader Joe's has some great frozen pizzas.
Rivkah   (04.07.10)
One is vegetarian and is from Italy. Another is from France and has a crust that is flaky not doughy. It is flaky like beaten biscuits. American pizzas make me sick because they don't use olive oil like the Italians and French do. Hope Israel has a Trader Joe's. They are missing a lot if they don't. It is a market that was founded by a German man who searched the world for healthy foods. Even the hand soap at Trader Joe's is olive oil based.
6. 1 Shalom Hartman: The buses in Israel start running at 5PM

8. OLIVE-OIL FREE PIZZAS ?
Bob ,   Waimea   (04.07.10)
Greetings from Hawaii - Who is this telling us American pizzas don't use olive oil? Well, buy cheap, get cheap I guess; no matter where. Even in Kailua Hawaii, we get superb old-style pizzas at Peppino's, and yes, they sure do use olive oil. And lots of other pizza parlors also. Enjoy your lovely pizzas, friends! To combine our warm ethnic greetings, Shaloha!
9. 8 Bob, Waimea: If you examine the so called "olive oil" in
Rivkah   (04.07.10)
American pizzas like Sbarro's, you must look at the label for the "olive oil" and then look at the back of the can. You get an idea of the fraud when you look at Sbarro's "olive oil" salad dressing that says "olive oil" on the front of the package and on the back it says, olive oil and CANOLA OIL. That means there is canola oil in a mixture with olive oil. Look at Subway Sandwich shop that has a sort of pizza if you have the clerk heat the cheese and sauce on the bread. They say they use olive oil, too, if you want that as a dressing. But ask to see the stock can of so called olive oil and you find CANOLA OIL and olive oil. The French and Italian pizzas from Trader Joe's say OLIVE OIL and mean it, not a mixture of canola oil or another oil with a little olive oil. Canola oil is toxic and is used to make furniture polish and mustard gas (chemical warfare). Canola oil plugs up the blood vessels in the eyes and is a factor in glaucoma. I have rarely come across an honest US pizza place or restaurant that says they use olive oil that really do.I ask to see the stock bottle to see if it is a mixture of canola or other seed oils and olive oil. Do a little research. For Peppino's to claim they use olive oil, all they have to do is use more olive oil than another oil without advertising the other oil ingredient.
