Israel is a country that is seeking peace in the region. This is why Israel is always trying to make peaceful alliances with every nation in the world. Even during the hardest times Israel tries to continue dialogue. (Although I admit that Israelis also are human beings and sometimes make mistakes and even really bad ones like Ayalon's behavior to Turkish ambassador) Israel's goal is to make friends with all the Arab and Muslim countries also. Israel already made peace with Egypt returning oil rich Sinai to them. Israel made peace with Jordan also and maintains good relations with Morocco. Today the Israeli / Turkish relationship may be strained mostly due to an Islamist AKP government that is not liked by over 50% of Turks also (Latest polls show less then 30% approval of AKP in Turkey) but hopefully secular Turks soon will gain control and return Turkey to the enlightened modern path that Ataturk paved and Israeli Turkish relations will recover again to normal. If only Palestinian Arabs had the same common sense in foreign relations there would be a Palestinian Arab state in WB and Gaza living in peace with Israel since the Camp David and Taba accords in 2001.
