Obama wants to see Israel defenseless and unable to fight a war because it would be a lost cause that it knows it would loose. There was NO palestinian state in 47 or 67. There NEVER was a palestinian state. In 1947 the area was ruled by Britain and the entire geographical area was called "Palestine" but was not a nation or state of "Palestine." In 1967 before the war (which Israel didn't want and which they asked Jordan to stay out of once it began) the area was divided between Israel, Jordan, and Egypt (which occupied Gaza.) The state of Transjordan was given to them by Britain and it consisted of approximately 80 percent of the mandate which was supposed to be a Jewish homeland, the land east of the Jordan River. In 1948, Jordan occupied the area west of the Jordan River which is part of Judah and Samaria, and changed their name to Jordan. There NEVER was a "Palestinian" state or nation.
