1. Now what could Hezbollah need missles for...
Paul ,   USA   (04.13.10)
Maybe to attack Israel ? Nah ! I trust the UN to make sure that this missle transfer didn't happen.
2. Lebanon will not be enough for the fires.
St. Joe ,   Jerusalem   (04.13.10)
3. #1 Hezbollah need those missiles to deter Israeli aggression
Sayyid Hassan Nasral ,   Lebanon   (04.13.10)
and make them think twice what will be raining on them if they decide to do an adventure into Lebanon
4. Umm guess it needs them to defend itself agaisnt Israel
Ezra ,   L   (04.13.10)
Thast right countries have the right to defend themselves
5. #3
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (04.13.10)
Remember the last war? It started when Lebanon attacked Israel, killing 13 and kidnapping (later murdering) another 2. Nothing would have happened without that attack. So why does Lebanon need the Scuds again?
6. #3
Jennie ,   US   (04.13.10)
Is this a threat, nasrall ? I suggest you think some too....
7. #4
Jennie ,   USA   (04.13.10)
Too late for Lebanon, Ezra..
8. Syria is a dangerous enemy we should crush it without delay.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (04.13.10)
We should not miss a second occasion to destroy the terror state Syria. That way we hurt also the fanatic Islamic state of Iran. As a result of a harsh military defeat of Syria the dictatorship of El-Assad may collapse. This might open a new and positive era of relations between Israel and Syria but the Golan should remain a part of Israel. The facts about Syria nowadays are described at : http://xrl.us/oshmc
9. Syria end of 2006 gave hezbollah 1,000 km rockets
jason ,   haifa israel   (04.13.10)
Rockets can be fired from anywhere in northern lebanon to southern israel.
10. UN 1701 resolution was a joke
jason ,   haifa israel   (04.13.10)
Olmert talked about strong international forces that would protect israel while france eyes are on israel and almost shot down an israel plane. Olmert and Livni ignored unifil of keeping tapes of kidnapping of idf soldiers and don't understand whose side they are on. The resolution just allowed hezbollah to build up just a little farther north and they still have their weapons by the border.
11. HOW BLIND ONE CAN BEE !!!.
Arn. ,   SWEDEN.   (04.13.10)
Barak: Hezbollah Scuds undermine stability Following reports of Syrian transfer of missiles to Lebanese-based group, defense minister says move violates UN resolutions THOSE MISSILES IS NO DEFENCIVE WEAPONS BUT OFFENCIVE ONES. Barak made it clear that Israel has "no belligerent intentions" towards Lebanon, adding: "We recommend that everyone maintain the calm." MAINTAIN THE CALM ??? - THEY ARE BUILDING UP OFFENCIVE CAPABILITY TO ATTACK ISRAEL, AND THIS ONE SPEAKS OF CALM. "The Air Force is our pillar of strength in the face of threats near and far," he said. "The IDF is trained, prepared, and has both eyes open in every direction. With strength and deterrence such as this, Israel must attempt to reach peace with its neighbors." THEY INTEN TO ATTACK ISRAEL, VISSIBLE TO ANYBODY, AND THIS CHAMBERLAINER SPEAKS OF PEACE !!!. It should also be noted that Israel is currently abstaining from taking any step which would divert international focus from Iran sanctions. OBAMA CHAMBERLAIN, WITH HIS TWO PUPILS, THE PM AND THE DM.. GOD BEVERE !!!. Arn.
12. Syria and Hezbollah Scuds
Brod ,   USA   (04.13.10)
The supplier of the Scuds to Hezbollah should also get the pie when the terrorists start shooting those Scuds at Israel's cities. Israel should not hesitate to give them devastating pies should they ever dare shoot those huge rockets at Israel.
13. a proposal that Syria, Iran can't refuse
moshe ,   kiryat yuval   (04.13.10)
Clearly Syria and/or Iran have upped the stakes. Their rationale: attack hiz then Israel will be bombarded by many thousands of UNguided rockets UNguided scuds Israel answer : At the moment hiz launches a rocket, Israel will reply NOT with a strike at hiz ...the target will be Syria and / or Iran ...the suppliers of the rockets. moshe
14. Yeah, but
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.13.10)
... it only undermines stability in Lebanon. Israel's doing just fine, thanks. Time to kick Hizbollah's sorry asses to the curb. Really. Don't worry about Iran. Taking care of Hizbollah will divert, what, 0.005% of Israel's resources and attention?
15. Another war at the horizon
Alin ,   Bucharest,Romania   (04.13.10)
It is already clear that the syrian deployment of SCUD-D missiles in Lebanon is yet another step into the consolidation of the Iran-Syria-Lebanon war axis. If Syria would try to attack Israel, the result would be disastruous fpr them. Yet, the lebanese morons and Hezbollah are expected not to be easily hit. Israel is facing a wide range front. The war is at the gates. Maybe this time Israel will knock down forever arab idiocy. And exile them into Antarctica
16. Israeli hypocrisy is so unyieldingly overwhelming,
Noor ,   Palestine   (04.13.10)
that I just dont know whether to laugh or cry at Barak's response. It doesnt merit any real response, but now that I feel compelled to do so, I will. First, Israeli leaders are in no position to speak of UN resolution violations. Israel just happens to violate more UN Security Council resolutions than all of the countries in the world put together. There is no debate, never mind controversy, surrounding this. Second, US and other state transfers of weapons to Israel are in direct contravention to customary humanitarian law. States like Israel, who have unyieldingly demonstrated their contempt for international law and who have resorted to grave human rights violations and the like via state terrorism are prohibited from receiving transfers of military weaponry. Israel is a grave human rights violator and has demonstrated so. Thus, it is inadmissible to transfer military weaponry to it.
17. AND BO THINKS NUKES ARE A WORSE THREAT?
stude ham   (04.13.10)
what a blinded leader this BO!
18. It doesn't surprise me,
Noor ,   Palestine   (04.13.10)
nor should it surprise anyone, that Hezbollah is re-arming. Israel has, on many occasions, violated UN resolution 1701 by air, land, and sea. From dropping poisonous balloons via the IAF to opening fire at two shepherds herding their sheep in the Shebba Farms, Israel has consistently violated the terms of UN resolution 1701. Of course, there have Lebanese violations, but the disproportionality is clearly visible. Israel has violated 1701 many, many more times than the Lebanese. http://www.tadamon.ca/post/246 Anyone who feels that this source is unreliable, I suggest that you challenge it. Contrary to the Zionists, Israel does not have a monopoly over the right to defend your self, your people, and your country from foreign aggression. Respect yourself, Israel.
19. scuds and barak
alexi   (04.13.10)
while it is true that israeli mothers pressed barak to bring idf home from lebanon, the manner of the withdrawal from lebanon with nothing inplace is a stain on barak's record. The same goes for the gaza withdrawal with no response by the governemnt to rocket attacks, a governement led by olmert and peretz and later barak. What did you expect the liars from syria would do. Of course they fight israel through hezbollah. That way, they avoid syria getting blasted. Barak, the 2 state deciple does not explain how calm would come if you allow rockets to be fired from judea and golan. How to prevent rockets-by italians sitting on the golan or the americans sittting outside nablus. don't make me laugh. International guarantees. if israel goes down, it must go down fighting not begging US to apply sanctions or to save it. Israel defends its own security. By the way, Medvedev is a figleaf for putin, he has no power and acts like a puppet in a good boy-bad boy routine. Hussein obama has fallen for this trick headlong.
20. Green light "Israel"
Arabi ibn Arabi ,   Arabia   (04.13.10)
Oh God bring that day “Israel” at war with Iran, Syria, and Lebanon. What Iran is doing is calling "Israel" for a war with them. all their talk and deeds is indicating that. come on "Israel" bring it on why you are silent? don’t worry; the god of the Ashkenazim will be with you as he was with you in previous Cowboy adventure. Iran had created 3 lines of defense “1 Hezbollah, 2 Syria, 3 Iraq” before your reach them. last war with Lebanon you couldn’t pass the first line. The West will never allow you simply because of oil “which is most important than "Israel" to them.” what is been taking by force will returned by force not 62 years of unjust and failing peace treaty.
21. To: No. 3
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.13.10)
Oh, stop it! Hizbollah is not a country. They are not subject to any aggression other than that which they bring upon themselves by engaging in vicious terrorist activities. Like I said, Hizbollah is not a country. Just because the Europeans and the Islamofascist terrorist-sponsoring regimes fete you like international heads of state and diplomats doesn't make it so. Put lipstick on a pig, and it's still a pig. Hizbollah is a pig. Moreover, any aggression between Hizbollah and Israel is all the responsibility of Hizbollah. If you start trouble, you lose the right to complain when it comes back at you in spades. And it will. You got a free pass in 2006. Maybe this time, Israel won't care so much about collateral damage and civilian casualties (I mean, it's not like anyone else in the world cares. Look at the carnage in Afghanistan. Look at the carnage in Iraq. Pakistan. The Congo. Sierra Leone. Chechen. Besides, what's a few dead terrorists? The world will be a much better place without Hizbollah in it. Really.
22. To: No. 4
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (04.13.10)
Don't know how to break this to you, but I'll try to be gentle. Hizbollah is not a country. They are a terrorist organization. Funnily enough, there is no acknolwedged right in international law or precedent which dictates that a terrorist organization has the right to defend themselves. Umm -- might want to reconsider your decision to participate in this forum. Unless you particularly like being ridiculed and humiliated.
23. # 16
Birdi ,   Israel   (04.13.10)
Show us links where it says, "US & other state transfers of weapons to Israel are in direct contravention to customary humanitarian law" I think you are trying to invent new laws here. Israel has the right to defend herself against your Arab brothers.
24. Don't worry, arm the terrorists...
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (04.13.10)
Hussein Obama, the Muslim in chief and his lackey John Kerry are in strong diplomatic support of the Syrian terror state, the missile transfer happened under their watch. They mounted not the slightest diplomatic protest against it and are directly responsible for any future escalation of violence between Israel and its terrorist enemies. For Hussein Obama a housing project in Israels own capital is a danger to peace, the arming of terrorists is just fine... HE WILL GET THE BILL SOON...
25. #20 Arabia

The light you will see won't be green! Maybe you should petition G-d for a pair of good sunglasses.
26. Green light Israel Arabi bin
TAHRIR QUDS ALYAHUDI   (04.15.10)
dont cry and hide with civilians and use children for human shield when Israel bit the hell of you. This time will be different, and Israel will teach you lesson that you will never forget. The next NAQBA to the arabs will be soon B H.
