Eric ,   Tel Aviv   (04.13.10)
Given that we have such high security in everything else and London had this for long.
2. CCTV is a good idea, but only for use in hindsight
Steph   (04.13.10)
It is unlikely to be used to prevent terrorism, and serves to re-trace the steps of a criminal or terrorist after the act has taken place.
Smith ,   TA, Israel   (04.13.10)
Britain proves that CCTV is a useless and expensive gimmick that provides excellent images for Crimewatch but does not deter or prevent crime.

7. I can only hope...
Orly ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.14.10)
...that the authorities will use the same diligence in retrieving archive footage to vindicate the innocent who were home alone (w/o an alibi) during the act of a crime as they would to find footage of the same person had he or she committed the crime!
8. They liked what they saw in Dubai.

9. Surveillance cameras
Paul Godfrey ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (04.14.10)
Wow, what a complicated way of dealing with crime by plugging into the private sectors existing cameras and then being able to respond. WAKE UP. The point of cameras is deterrence and realtime monitoring. My suggestion would be to sack 1000 so called officers and use the money to build a proper network of camera manned by intelligent civilians who can alert police to trouble before it gets out of hand.
10. Great idea!
Talula ,   Israel   (04.14.10)
Smile! you're on camera - must remember to wear my lipstick when out and about in Tel Aviv :)
11. #8 Ali, that's pathetic, but very funny I have to say.
Talula ,   Israel   (04.14.10)
12. Conclusive proof Israel real is a "Big Brother" Police State
