Earlier Jewish returnees, even the secular, understood that the Bible portrayed not just the early history of the Jewish people but represented their connection to *this* land, and why Uganda or Alaska could never be "just as good". But Israel's experience with post-Zionism demonstrates that without understanding why they are "dafka" here, it's tough to know what you are fighting to defend. And THAT is why many in Israel are calling for more studies of Tanach.

The Bible is the Book of Life, Powerful, Sharper than any two edged-sword, Strong, and it is the Mother of all books, but many of our leaders commonise it. It reveals the Living God and His Blessed Son Jesus Christ to mortal man. It is a compass to guide every man or woman, boy or girl to eternity. It regulates our daily life to holy, godly and righteous living. It reveals the very close relationship between the nation of Israel and the Living God. It is an oracle that was first given to the Jews, but rather than choosing the Book of Life, they chose woes, and it has not been so well with the Israel. Israel is such a powerful nation which no nation on the surface of the earth, not even the USA or Russia can stand in a battle, but because they rejected the Bible - GOD's commandments, they are weaken, and their enemies make carricacure over them. What an irony. Wake up to the Bible and pray Bibi and the children of Israel, and you will see the wonders of GOD. What HE did with Moses, Joshua, etc., in the days of old, HE is still able to do today. Joshua 1:9.

I am not Jewish, but can recognize an arrogant anti Semite whenever I read one. How dare you come to a Jewish site with your high-handed diatribe? Do Jews ever go to your Christian sites and chastise you? No, of course not, they are far too polite.

I don't see where your problem is for what #10 said. All that he said is true and you be one like those who argued with Mosses. Christians and Jews are brothers like it or not. You sound like you don't even know your past history.

How are Christians anti-semitic? We worship a Jewish Messiah. Read, teach, and believe from a Jewish Book (both OT and NT were written by Jews) and we support Israel. (maybe not liberal christians) but the conservative Evangelical Christians are the best friends to Israel they will ever have. We are close to Daniel's 70th week, and there will be no true Christians left, the blinders will be taken off. Zech 12:10-14

This is Ynet. It is like our countries in which people are free to say what they like within limits. If people wanted censorship then they would go elsewheres.

maybe if people would take time to study the bible rather than just reading it, they would understand that g-d has told all things that are to happen from the beginning of this world to the end.

24. Zechariah 12
justthinking ,   MI, USA   (05.06.10)
As an Evangelical Christian, I am constantly praying for Israel and the Peace of Jerusalem. I hope Bibi is reading his prophet Zechariah in the OT. Good Stuff - especially v.10: "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.
