1. Stick with Jews: Here's what Einstein said
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (04.16.10)
"I am not only a pacifist but a militant pacifist. I am willing to fight for peace. Nothing will end war unless the people themselves refuse to go to war." Rev King III should cross the border and tell the Gazans not to join Hamas and the other militant groups. Then if he's still alive, he can come back and preach to us.
2. Demand, non-violently, of the Arabs, to accept Israel's...
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.16.10)
...right to be, to exist as the nation-state of the Jewish people and expect it to be announced - in Arabic, Hebrew and English - in your presence. When that day comes, no conflict will exist here. But the conflict will continue, as it has since 1920, before the "occupation", the "wall", the "settlements" so long as the Muslim-Arabs refuse to accept Israel's right to be, to exist as a sovereign state of the Jewish people on ANY parcel of land in the region. Naive King the 3rd, I suspect, will continue to demand of Jews and only of Jews to bow down... Never Again!
3. If Sri Lanka had listened to your advice
(04.16.10)
they would still be fighting a bloody civil war. Instead, they crushed the terrorists and brought peace to the island.
4. he's preaching to the wrong crowd
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (04.16.10)
this guy is clearly insane. look at what he says about sri lanka - "civilians there decided to end the war..." not so champ. the government army used overwhelming indiscriminant force on the tamil population (soldiers AND civilians) to soundly defeat them after of decades of terror and war. for the first time there is, um, PEACE. like the palestinians, the suicide-bombing tamils wouldn't have it any other way. like the old saying: if palestinians lay down their weapons there will be peace. if israelis lays down their weapons, there will be another holocaust. ignore this naive man who shames the great dr king's name.
5. When the Arabs put down their guns peace will reign, but
Anat ,   Israel   (04.16.10)
when Israel puts down its, Israel and its entire Jewish population will be a thing of the past. Is this what the "pacifist" from America wishes upon us, Jews?
6. Wrong crowd
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (04.16.10)
Mr. King is right that many problems would be solved if aggressive nations would stop their violence. The Jews, however, do not have the right or privilege to be conscientious objectors. We tried that in the 1940s and it didn't help.
7. Go back home and treat the muslim
Ariel ,   Modi'in, Israel   (04.16.10)
threat that is growing under your noses. We will see how much of a pacifist you are once "peaceful" people start killing you and your ilk off. And, oh yes, your father was killed but you think you are on the winning side at the moment. Once you find yourself at odds with a whole violent groundswell, we'll talk again....
8. His father had a brain, but tubbie .....
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (04.16.10)
9. The man, despite the name, has no conception
Ruth ,   Seattle, WA   (04.16.10)
of what he is talking about, none.
10. Irrelevant comparison
Raphael ,   Netanya   (04.16.10)
Never did the civil rights movement intend to destroy the american state nor erase the white race. Those to be compared to the Palestinian national movement, the ethnic supremacist Nation of Islam, are the sponsors of Martin Luther Kings' murderer.
11. The only reason some listen to him is his name, given to
Christian black man ,   from America   (04.16.10)
him by his parents. He is yet to prove to them that he deserve it.
12. a need to recheck some of your facts
rachel ,   hadera   (04.16.10)
Mr. King it would do a greater service to recheck some of your facts before speaking on such a sensitive subject. You state that our children don't study together in schools- I'm not sure which school you visited while here but, my kids' elementary school also has Arab kids in class with the Jewish kids. They learn about varying holiday customs including those of the Ethiopian children in school with them. I think it does a great disservice to both the Arabs and the Jews living in Israel to try to play down the ways in which we have both integrated together in places of work as well as school.
13. he is right - in general...
eporue ,   europe   (04.16.10)
mostly, fighting without weapons is clearly the best, and it the end anyways the only solution. all those suicide bombers didnt achieve anything for palestine, except, that they felt a bit superior, and that it eased anger. but for a state, or an agreement, nothing - zero was gained. this was clear in the beginning. this was NOT a suprise... but we can all understand, when people want to "resist" something, that one is angry, upset, feels so helpless. in this case, taking up a weapon makes you feel good - at least better. you have something to fight with. you know how to handle the weapon. its an easy way, but no way out of the problem. it works in fact counterproductive, as it will delay everything. people should also look back in history: those prosperous countries, where people live freely, have good laws etc, are those who havent had a war recently. a war / fights throw people back - both, the attackers and the attacked - for decades. everything gets - apart from destroyed - delayed or skipped, as education, the childrens childhood etc... its much more difficult to solve a problem without weapons, but in the end they all get solved only without. i dont really understand, the palestinians, because they have now the chance to checkmate israel big time. its wrong to keep quiet and wait... abbas and fayyad must act...
14. A real chance for peace.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (04.16.10)
If the Palestinians were to put down their weapons, there would be no more violence. If Israel were to put down its weapons, there would be no more Israel. Israel has refrained from responding to many acts of Palestinian terror and violence, but this just emboldened the Palestinians to escalate their violence, not stop it. When the Palestinians reform their death-cult society, turn away from anti-American, anti-Jewish extremism and toward pluralism, tolerance, and co-existence, only then will there be a real chance for peace. But that can happen only if the West support Law, real humanism and the truth. What are the chances? http://xrl.us/beifn3
15. Farukhan and King III
Rick ,   Chicago   (04.16.10)
They all for peace and Hamas. These are very interesting people.

(04.16.10)
18. GO TELL IT TO THE REALLY VIOLENT ONES, THE ARABS
JEWISHNESS ,   NYC USA   (04.16.10)
HEY MR. MILLIONAIRE, YEAH YOU WHO POORLY COAT TAILS A GREAT MAN, GO TELL THE crazies/ARABS TO go RESIST WITHOUT VIOLENCE... yeah sure! just a lot MORE B.S. FROM A WANNABE SELF-DELUDED and overly indulged self styled "SAVIOR" who needs a camera and microphone on him in order to function. AND as his reputation follows him... if he smells money or power, he's there sucking it all up, not unlike the rest of this living large family who're are living off the reputation of other great men.!
19. So, why he supports publicly al Quada
Rick ,   Chicago   (04.16.10)
Believes Bush bombed towers
20. The government should close the peres
jason white ,   afula,israel   (04.16.10)
center and investigate it's funding. Does king want all our soldiers to refuse to fight? He is mentally ill. Those that refuse should be jailed for life. The peres center causes more harm to Israel than it helps. We need our youth to be strong and not to be friends with those that would kill us. peres spreads a message around the world that is not what we here believe in. peres was not elected by the people and he is not the leader of Israel.
21. Does he agree with King that anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism?
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (04.16.10)
After a Harvard lecture in 1968, MLK confronted a student who criticized Zionism. King responded, "When you're talking anti-Zionism, you're talking Jews. You're talking anti-Semitism." Does King III accept that proposition? #6 is right. The Jews "do not have the right or privilege to be conscientious objectors." One's first obligation is to live, to "choose life". In the face of an enemy that wants you dead, *not* to defend yourself is the choice of a fool or a coward.
