the jordan king hasnt forgotten, he said, that there are elements who want war and bloodshed. it is very difficult to keep those elements under control or even fight them, as long as israel acts in a way, which supports their ideological violence. nobody says, every evil will stop with an agreement, but it will set them checkmate big time. it will give a basis, to work against them together. as long as there is no agreement, stabilisation of the situation is not possible. the king says two things: (1) the arab world is stretching out hands to you. to help you. (2) external mediation is vital for a solution. when negotations failed in the past, then it doesnt mean they will not work today. many things have changed over the years, changing many peoples view on the situation - also those of the arab world.

Now you may all huff and puff, but that would put the basis of the Road Map into danger, and pretty much unleash the floodgates of hopelessness that already lurks under the surface due to Israeli intransigence. Better heed the King, this ain't 1967 anymore. There is simply no guarantee that Israel could stave off a sustained and well coordinated attack by many well armed governments in the region. Puffed up bravado aside, the US has its hands full already with two wars and relief efforts and a military presence in nearly every country in the world, Israel could be beaten senseless to its very knees before the cavalry comes. And you have insulted that very cavalry so many times in recent years, it might not come that fast.

The arab nations are struggling pretty much : economically, socially etc. Like the jordan king - most of them put the blame simply on the people of Israel and commit themself to fight and destroy Israel ! Tragically this attitude only increases the problems of the arab nations : the money spent for weapons cant be used for the arab nations basic needs, every war is another tragedy for everyone involved. The solution to the arab tragedy is written for many years in the scriptures : ''He who blesses Israel will be blessed !'' Arabs - if you love your nations, you have to try this it out, at least ! An agreement between the Israelis and Palestinians would be wonderful. I don't believe anyone wants to see Palestinians, Israelis or anyone suffering wounds or fatalities. It's a pitiful shame when the innocent suffer. Maybe there can be an added grassroots effort started very soon. The people deserve not to be worried and things to be worked out.
