2. cars
Ellen ,   Israel/USA   (04.21.10)
From an area that always screams poverty, yet receives billions in aid individuals afford new cars ( which obviously also need gas to run), kinda makes one wonder about how bad conditions in Gaza are, or more likely aren't!
3. Hang on! I thought they didn't have money for food?
Talula ,   Israel   (04.21.10)
Now they've got new cars? This article needs to go out on the international news wires. Clearly the people who should be of aware of this, are not.
4. Likely, there is a good deal of
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (04.21.10)
discrpancy in Gaza between the haves and the have-nots.
5. "If it lifted ban on imports, tunnels would be unnecessry"
William ,   Israel   (04.22.10)
except that prior to any siege, Hamas was also smuggling weapons into the Strip and terrorists in/out of the Strip via tunnels. What you really mean is - tunnels to smuggle in consumer goods would be unnecessary. However, the siege is not to block consumer goods but the smuggling of weapons and materials to make war, like metal parts, petrol, cement, money, etc. No matter what happens in Gaza, it seems they always have a reason to complain - the true sign of a welfare recipient with a feeling of entitlement.
6. #3, #4 - There are plenty of "haves" in Gaza
William ,   Israel   (04.22.10)
but Hamas only allows access to the "have nots". Fact: the area where the majority of "poverty" footage comes from is Northeast Gaza, just across from Sderot. This is is traditionally poor and has been for many, many years. Right next door is Gaza City and they have lots of money there, but that is rarely publicized.
