1. Don't worry Israel !
Joey Rose ,   Portland   (04.21.10)
They'll find a way to screw even this up. (with you helpfully nudging them along, of course)
2. The fence saving lives
shay ,   netania   (04.21.10)
thats why we will keep it, even against the rest of the whole world
3. non violent? hahahahahaha the first
ghostq   (04.21.10)
chance they have they planned road bomb for Israeli cars, non violant hahahahaha, does the palis knows what it means, the last time I checked the riots near the mosque in jerusalem were very peacfull, hahahaha again stragle and peace mmm sound like water and oil don't mash and will never do. I love arab lefty however, so funny they say we came in peace BUT he r going to use violance, oh well tell him he will have to get control on his own people who kill each other, the big enemy is themselves. and they got Israel to blame everytime palestinian mess up. indipendance also means responsibility for your actions, I doubt it palis will take responsibility for anything.
4. "...state without negotiations..." means no acceptance of
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.21.10)
Israel's right to be, to exist as the nation-state of the Jewish people and no acceptance of a peace treaty as the "end of the conflict". These are the two elements the Muslim-Arab world, local and regional, fears the most because either and/or both imply that the strategic goal of annihilating of Israel either in a full scale war or in stages is no more. And since the goal is to see to it that Israel is no more, a unilateral action, against all signed agreements to date, is the preferred way of those who can't accept Israel's right to be, to exist as the nation-state of the Jewish people and to live alongside it in peace and security. Yet, the "progressive" and "liberal" forces - Jewish and non-Jewish alike - are blinded, something that will contribute to the blood shed in our region, including a lot of Jewish blood. But, they don't care of course...!!
5. Pals ignore that world community also supports Jewish state
Sam ,   Canada   (04.21.10)
Fayyad's game is just another Palestinian effort to grab free concessions without having to accept a Jewish Israel. The West would like to shut the Palestinians up by giving them a state but doesn't buy into Palestinian efforts to replace Israel with a Palestinian Muslim state. There is no free ride for the Palestinians.
6. Establishment of a Palestinian State
Harold ,   NY, USA   (04.21.10)
Go for it Fayyad. The whole world will recognize your Palestinian State as well as the United Nations.
7. Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas)
Ron B. ,   Lod   (04.21.10)
The nature of the leadership of the proposed Palestinian state can be deduced from the profile of its potential leaders, who have become role models of inter-Arab treachery, subversion and terrorism. Abu Mazen (Mahmoud Abbas) – a graduate of KGB training and of Moscow University and the engineer of hate education – was expelled from Egypt (1955), Syria (1966) and Jordan (1970) for subversion. He played a key role in the PLO violent attempts to topple the government in Beirut and PLO collaboration with Saddam's invasion of Kuwait. Can Israel make peace with Abbas ? A substantial annual net-emigration/flight, by moderate Palestinians, attests to the Palestinians' own expectations of the proposed Palestinian state. Consult: http://xrl.us/bfa7xz
8. to #1 you right Hamas won't let someone
ghostq   (04.21.10)
that isn't among his men to control the entire area.
9. International consensus?
Yosef Levy ,   Tel Aviv   (04.21.10)
Without Israel's, said state will be severely truncated.
10. STOP THE INSANITY!
OZ   (04.21.10)
make no mistake about it-- it is not a pro-"" palestinian" advocacy that leads world left -wing organizations to support a ""palestinian state".... it is a vehement anti- israel sentiments that want to see it volnurable, weak and defeated... no on e wants to see storng jews in charge of their lives... a" palestinian state?"-- what a baseless joke.... and # 6-- gfysf!
11. You can't make Palestinians disappear.
Ali ,   Washington, DC   (04.21.10)
Even if you build your own version of Auschwitz for Palestinians in the West Bank. State is coming wether you like it or not.
12. agree with #8: hamas wont leave gaza, but fight every result
eporue ,   europe   (04.21.10)
of an election. if gaza becomes part of the new palestinian state, it will go down the pan in no time. if they want to have a chance, they must drop gaza. when mr fayyad says something like, "our peaceful efforts"... then he clearly speaks NOT about gaza... UN resolution or not, egypt must take gaza. there is no way, that this place can be controlled by a police force, it needs an army. israel cant do that.
13. No.5
kwelam ,   SA   (04.21.10)
You are presenting a false choice. accepting the palestinian state does not negate israel.
14. Fayyad
Michael ,   Haifa   (04.21.10)
He appears to be one of the less moronic leaders in the region.
15. When will the Arabs accept the Israeli Peace Plan?
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.21.10)
If there is ever to be peace the Arabs MUST agree to the following terms as per the Israeli Peace Plan of 2002; 1. Israel will reconsider its policies and declare that a just peace is its strategic option. 2. Israel affirms: a. Full Israeli withdrawal from all the territories occupied since 1967, including the Syrian Golan Heights to the lines of June 4, 1967 as well as the remaining occupied Lebanese territories in the south of Lebanon. b. Achievement of a just solution to the Palestinian Refugee problem to be agreed upon in accordance with UN General Assembly Resolution 194. c. The acceptance of the establishment of a Sovereign Independent Palestinian State on the Palestinian territories occupied since the 4th of June 1967 in the West Bank and Gaza strip, with East Jerusalem as its capital. 3. Consequently, the Arab Countries will affirm the following: a. Consider the Arab-Israeli conflict ended, and enter into a peace agreement with Israel, and provide security for all the states of the region. b. Establish normal relations with Israel in the context of this comprehensive peace. 4. Assures the rejection of all forms of Palestinian patriation which conflict with the special circumstances of the Arab host countries. 5. The Government of Israel and all Israelis accept this initiative in order to safeguard the prospects for peace and stop the further shedding of blood, enabling the Arab Countries and Israel to live in peace and good neighborliness and provide future generations with security, stability, and prosperity. ............. Israel will of course keep this peace plan on the table in the hope that the Arabs will accept these terms for a just and lasting peace. For the sakes of ALL our children I hope ALL parties will agree to these just and fair terms.
16. dfd
dfd ,   dfds   (04.21.10)
nothing is changing if they dont have a peace agreement with Israel wether there is a Palestine or not
17. With Abbas seriously ill.......
Leah ,   Israel   (04.21.10)
and after he dies the enormous power game in the Pals community. They will probably kill each other!!!
18. I understand your excitement,
Dana Rothschildj ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.21.10)
Mr. Fayyad...... this is probably, why you "forgot" to mention, that your "success" in reaching the security in the West Bank was made with the help of IDF....
19. The UN created Israel in 1948
Kathy ,   Australia   (04.21.10)
The UN created Israel in 1948. Why can't they do the same now and vote to create the State of Palestine? Why do we need to wait for Israel's approval and consent? If Israel won't accept a Palestinian State, then it must be IMPOSED on them...just like Israel was IMPOSED on the Arabs in 1948.
20. # 4 is a fake! This is NOT a post I have ever posted or
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.21.10)
would ever post! Sadly instead of dealing with the version of alternative reality which I present here attempt to undermine it by impersonating me!
21. The world is behind you this, go for it!!
ezra   (04.21.10)
22. #13 Palestinian goal is West Bank+all of Israel
Sam ,   Canada   (04.21.10)
Only leftist screwballs believe that the Palestinian goal is just to have a state in the West Bank. There won't be any Israeli cooperation for withdrawals towards a Palestinian state without the Palestinians accepting a Jewish-majority Israel. There won't be any Western pressure for Israeli withdrawals without Palestinian acceptance of a Jewish-majority Israel. There can be a Palestinian state and a Jewish state, however, Palestinians won't get any withdrawals and cooperation that are on their terms only which is what they seek. They will be left with another useless proclamation of a state.
23. Which talks is Fayyad talking about ?
Serge ,   Antwerp, Belgium   (04.21.10)
In case talks are not succesfull Fayyad wants to declare unilateraly a Palestinian state. Since the PA are rejecting talks, either direct or indirect , with Israel it is clear Fayyad believes he can make a state by himself.
24. Hey Kathy, please stay down under and leave the Middle East
Jonathan   (04.21.10)
25. Remember Mr. Fayyad You don't want State of Mickey Mouse
Salma ,   Palestine   (04.21.10)
Mr. Fayyad we want to achieve the legitimate rights of our people and not just a state ....Palestinian people in Palestine and in the Diaspora will stand stubbornly In the way of each stands against any of our rights We want real justice, not fictitious statehood
26. #19-Who's going to do the imposing?
Yossi G. ,   Jerusalem   (04.21.10)
And are they prepared to lose many, many troops?
27. #10
Hakim ,   Palestine   (04.21.10)
Wether you like it or not a Palestinian state is in the making, and today the world sees Israel as the joke so you can go and fysf!!
28. #19 Kathy, the UN has already created Palestine...
Farouk   (04.21.10)
it's called Jordan.
29. All Land STOLEN From Jews in 1948 Must be Returned!
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (04.21.10)
There Never was an Arab country of Palestine. Jerusalem was Never the capital of any Arab or Muslim entity. Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times in the Jewish Bible, not once in the Koran. The inalienable rights of Jews to the Biblical heartland must not be violated! No one is demanding Muslims surrender THEIR top religious areas of Mecca and Medina! In 1948, Egypt invaded Gaza, ethnically cleansing all Jews and in 1948, Jordan invaded Judea, Samaria and east Jerusalem, ethnically cleansing all Jews. In violent opposition to G-D, Muslim Jordan destroyed 58 synagogues in Jerusalem. The jihad is against the Holy One. When Israel won the Arab war of aggression in 1967, Jews returned to the areas of their ancestral homeland they had been ethnically cleansed from for 19 years. Anti-Israel propaganda deceitfully calls Jews' legitimate return "occupation". Jews have had a continuous presence in physical and spiritual homeland Israel for 4,000 years. All Land and Property Stolen from Jews in the 1948 Islamic Invasion Must be Returned!
30. Jews are the TRUE Palestinians!
Linda Rivera ,   New York   (04.21.10)
Arabs first started calling themselves "Palestinians" in 1967. Global terrorist, Egyptian Arafat was the first leader of this new people. Partner with Arafat for over 40 years; immorally respected by the US/EU-Holocaust denier, Abbas, financed the massacre of Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympic Games. Before 1948, Jews were known as the Palestinians. The Jewish newspaper, the Jerusalem Post was called the Palestine Post. The Jewish-founded electric company was Palestine Electric. The Palestinian Symphony Orchestra was all Jewish. During World War II, the British army had a Palestinian Brigade made up entirely of Jewish volunteers. After Jews migrated to Palestine in significant numbers in the late 1800s and miraculously transformed desert and swamps into rich, agricultural land, Arabs came in large numbers from Arab countries for jobs from Jews. The fact that the overwhelming majority of Arabs resided only briefly in Palestine is attested to by a one-time special UN decree: that any Arab who had resided in Palestine for only two years before 1948, and then left, would be considered a refugee and so would his descendants! Throughout history, people were never regarded as refugees if they had resided in a country for only two years because they were clearly citizens of other countries!
