How many tanks, fighter aircraft and battleships does Iran have? And how about, do they have any submarines ?

Just like when they ignored Israel's warnings about Iran to pursue a pointless war in Iraq, the new US administration also wants to ignore the Iranian threat by spreading false intelligence downplaying Iran. As much as I detest the current Iranian administration, they are correct when they speak about the US being on the decline. Israel is a great and powerful nation, but it will go down with the US if it does not assert itself and its independence.

Saddam's military was ineffective as well against the US, however the real dirty fighting didn't take place until American boots started to walk the beat in Iraqi cities and we eventually prevailed but the human and financial cost was staggering. We will be paying for the Iraq war for decades on. I don't believe Iran is next.

You are confusing the Revolutionary Guard and the Basij. The Basij are little more than gangs under the control of the president. The Revolutionary Guard on the other hand are very well trained, and they answer directly to the Surpreme Religious Leader. There is no comparison between the two groups. One occupies itself beating down on helpless civilians, while the other is in fact a fighting machine. Are they good enough to defeated Israel or the US? We can only speculate. But the US is making a mistake trying to make them out to be weak. Especially if it were a ground invasion.

And Russian is not that much stupid to mobilize those fanatic’s regime to nuclear bomb, yes it is true that the Russian building nuclear facilities for them but the Russian will not give any chance to Iranian to have nuclear bomb, but the Iranian army is enough strong to take over of the gulf nations .

No matter how strong presence the U.S. has they have to learn a lesson from previous two wars (Iraq & Afghanistan) Both the decisions were a utter failure of the U.S. Intelligence Buros, yes Iran is far weaker in military terms than the US but the amount of pain world would experience is simply beyond imagination. Those who favor war should think twice before going to war, neither you can exterminate Iran nor Iran can wipe out Israel from the globe but the consequential loss for the world community would be far greater. Please do keep sanctions working against them, one fine day they would knee down to the sanctions.

On several occasions high level US administration military & political leaders have brandished the potentially terrifying response of Iran to an attack on its nuclear production sites. Now we learn from an other branch of the administration that Iran is actually a paper tiger. Who are we to believe? It all looks like disinformation whose content is made to suit the current variations or vacillations of policy makers in Washington.

The US has no interest in a war. But a strike or series of strikes against Iran is very possible. No nation building is required or boots on the ground. Air and Naval power will be sufficient for the task. If Iran chooses to attempt to strike back, it will give the US an excuse to deal a devasting blow on the Iranian Military.

I still haven't figured what makes Iranians seek war with Israel (we don't even share a border), however we don't share their war ambitions. We have never attacked Iran, and never will. Can anyone explain their interest in us? Thank you.

Israel and Iran are in a similar boat. Who's kidding who. If there weren't so many Jews in Congress, the US would have abandoned them long ago. Israel's strategic significance is on the decline. The war with extremist Islam is being lost due to Israel's inability make any concrete and public disclosures about its own future. The US is more insecure than it was prior to 911.
