Israel needs to restructure their educational system. The present system is producing a youth that is becoming the enemy of their own people and their own land. Where is the love of your country, your land, history. Where are the beautiful values that the Jewish people have had for thousands of years. The modern youth of Israel knows very little about history, bible, Zionism, etc. It is all about EDUCATION, EDUCATION, EDUCATION.

Teach them religion teaches them to hate others. Seperate state and religion.

to earth people...many seculars, like yourself it sounds like, are fanatics. I am not religious so i can say this with some objectivity. The reason you are here is because of religion, not the holocaust. There are so many programs and trips for young adults to see Israel from its many perspectives. To derive any conclusions from this thin sliver of visitors is both misleading and irresponsible. To determine that shabbat and holidays are the connecting factor would require a far broader spectrum of visitors ranging from Birthright to the many JCC and high school programs. Surely those 3 visitors who pointed out Yair Lapid as their connection, could have just as easily pointed to the TV show Eretz Nehederet. This can only be seen as a trite, narrow minded, bogus finding that should not have gained such a great amount of attention.
