It's not extremism, it's sanity. Survival is the most sane and honorable thing that exists. The defeatist leftists of today's Israel are the same morally confused souls who betrayed the faithfully Jewish Maccabees for a Hellenistic lifestyle and assimilation in the Seleucid Empire, hence it turns my stomach whenever I see a leftist Jew celebrate Hanukka.

With no effort, Jews were able to reach across the gap to their Arab counterparts in order to stop outside instigators from causing problem to the neighborhood.
