31. #19 - Easy. Both transportation and arable land issues
William ,   Israel   (04.26.10)
Even for the myopic hater, your's is an easy question to answer. Nevermind that Jews have already inhabited land in the West Bank, Golan, and Gaza, for centuries prior to 1948... those Jews that did follow, with the blessing of the Ottoman rulers, were both directed towards coastal areas by the Sultans, and also accepted it because of its proximity to transport routes which followed the coast and ports at Haifa and Jaffa. In addition, arable land was more plentiful next to the sea but did provide a foothold for later expansion into Judea/Samaria and the Negev once water issues and infrastructure were built up through British and Jewish investments. You can claim "illegal" whatever you want...until the the facts of your lack of land deeds and illegal economic migrant past come to light.
32. #24 Hispania is also a Roman name!
Nour ,   Palestine فلسطين   (04.26.10)
So are numerous country names in South America and elsewhere, were given by colonists. Sure, the mighty Roman empire which stretched all the way to Persia, gave the name "Palestina" but don't rush it....The origin of the word is not Roman but Philistine - the culture and people who came from greece and settled the land centuries before the Romans ever arrived! Basically, you need to educate yourself and stop using this flimsy and weak excuse to discredit Palestinian nationalism.
33. #2 Two State Final Solution is lunacy for Israel.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.26.10)
The former head of Israel's Foreign Affairs Ministry is absolutely correct. Any "Palestinian" state in the heart of Israel would bring about Israel's demise within a decade. One only has to look at a map to realize this. Any Israeli Jew supporting the mostrous Two State Final Solution belongs in a lunatic asylum.
34. The Palestinian narrative is based on lies
Sam ,   USA   (04.26.10)
They repeat their lies so many times that they believe in it. They use the Jews for water, electricity, medical care, etc and yet they sell the world the notion of suffering. The Somali Arabs are not as fortunate as the Palestinian Arabs are. They cannot blame the Jews for their problems. The world knows they are ungovernable pirates. However, when it comes to Palestinain Arabs the world bought their fake victimhood and gives them $$$$.
35. that demography thing , we will have to counter it negativel
anoynmous uk hater ,   bat-yam   (04.27.10)
negatively . a deceleration has to be made , israel will fight for it's jewish character if any minorities would want to size political power\"rights" and maintain it's majority. I suggest heavy restrictions on practicing islam.
36. DEAR SALMA
LEBANESE OBSERVER   (04.27.10)
AS A LEBANESE WHO IS QUITE CLOSE TO PALESTINIANS . I CAN ASSURE YOUTHAT THERE IS 0% CHANCE THAT AN INDEPENDENT STATE OF PALESTINE IS VIABLE . IT HAS NO INDUSTRY . IT IS DEPENDENT ON ISRAEL FOR JOBS . IT IS OVER POPULATED AND IT IS CORRUPT TO THE BONES . AS AN ARAB , I AM SORRY TO SAY THAT THE BEST SOLUTION WOULD BE TO ANNEX GAZA TO EGYPT AND WEST BANK TO JORDAN .THE REFUGEES WILL STAY WHERE THEY ARE AND GET FULL CIVIL RIGHTS.
