ghostq   (04.26.10)
and in desperate times you do desperate things, this is just for negotiation, their way to say don't forget about me, very juvinail, they know they will be left out cause gaza today got no setelment, allready in 67 borders, the prisoners wont matter much in negotiation, but palis use to "if they won't give us what we want we will take it by force, pleanty of force" sad to say but that is the lowest human behavior that can posibly have, very infintile in cruel way, and just the though palis chose them convience everyone that palis worship power guns and violance. quit the opposite of peace. and with that none can make peace. palis r their own worse enemies, Israel is just an excuse.

6. #5 - shameful answer
Yitzchak ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (04.26.10)
You did not answer the question. That is the way of all people who feel "guilt" or "embarassment" and a "lack of pride" - avoid answering a direct question. If you cannot be honest - how can we take you opinions in these talkbacks seriously. And it is obvioius that you do want to be taken seriously!!!

ghostq   (04.26.10)
jews live there even in the18th century. go look it up, the name is in ancient hebrew, even during the first and second temple, the bizantice and chritian ages arabs r new adition to the place. if ever it's the arabs who setled there. after conquering the city.
12. Response to #1
Mighty Moe ,   Jerusalem   (04.26.10)
Its pretty simple, but being uncircumsized you might not get it, Hebron is holy to Jews because, primarily, Abraham and Sara are buried there. We also believe that Adam & Eve, Issac and Rebecca and Jacob and Leah are buried there as well. Abraham was called an "Ivri" , a Hebrew, from the root word "ever" or in English "side." Abraham stood on one "side" of the world and represented monotheism while the entire world stood on their side engulfed in polytheism and idol worship. Abraham and his descendents - the Hebrews or Jews - were opposed by the entire world for our belief in one G-d. The fact, as you note, that the entire world considers Hebron occupied and the Jews consider it ours is EXACTLY HOW IT MUST BE. A continuation of the millenium long dispute. You proved our point exactly - we stand on one side (as Jews/Hebrews) with our Torah & you gentiles stand on your side opposing us with your belief systems. This is G-d's plan for the world. Hebrews on our side, Gentiles on theirs. Hebron - holy to the Jews, Gentiles - Israel occupies Palestine.
13. IDF kills Hamas man near Hebron

16. An Arab Israeli conflict lexicon: 1) Occupation: any piece
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.26.10)
of land controlled by Israel, be it part of the sovereign state of Israel or territories Israel captured in a defensive war. 2) Resistance to occupation: the mass murder of Jews, regardless of their ages and the location of their dwelling or place of work or study. Sadly, this is how the Muslim-Arab world perceive the world and how the world is "observed" by this world advocates abroad.
17. Ali Sweiti was only doing what any Jew would do
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (04.26.10)
Hamas/Fatah/the Palestinian People are doing exactly what Jews would do ie: resist by all means the oppression and occupation of their land and people. The likes of Hamas and Hizbollah would not exist today if it was not for Israeli occupation. Hundreds of Israeli civilians would still be alive today if it was not for the illegal Israeli occupation. I guess Israel thinks a few more Dunams of land are more important than Israeli lives. As a country of immigrants one would have thought that modern day Israelis would have taken all the positive aspects and memes from their host societies and moulded Israel as a enlightened country where all humans are equal but alas this was not the case. As long as Israel continues its illegal occupation and attempts to obliterate the Palestinian People and their culture the Palestinians will continue to do what any Jew would do and resist this brutal oppression.
18. The One God of the Universe wrote the Bible
The 11th Man ,   London.   (04.26.10)
and the Bible clearly states that the Jews are the people He wants living in Israel. The Bible makes no sense without it.
19. :: Yitzchak - #6
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (04.26.10)
In that case Yitzchak do you think that the IDF are morally correct when they hide behind human shields (unarmed Palestinian civilians often women and children) in combat zones? "the Israel Defense Forces made use of the ‘human shield’ procedure on 1,200 occasions over the last five years" Quote from an Ynet article. Yitzchak do you feel "guilt"/"embarrassment" or a "lack of pride" in regard to the IDF cowering behind innocent civilians to protect their own asses?

21. "The likes of Hamas and Hizbollah would not exist today if..
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (04.26.10)
it was not for Israeli occupation". This statement is a good illustration to my post, number 16, regarding the definition of "occupation" from a Muslim-Arab perspective. Mass murder of civilian Jews of course commenced in the country back in 1920. This has been a war-of-attrition-through-terror against the Jewish civilian population which came in the form of campaigns. 1920-21, 1929, 1936-39, 1947, 1950s, 1960s were such campaigns that took place before Israel even came into being, 1948, and before it captured in a defensive war the disputed territories, 1967. But the Muslim-Arab advocate poster refers to all such murderous activities as "resistance" against the "occupation".
22. When you play with fire and attack police officers, expect
Anat ,   Hadera, Israel   (04.26.10)
to be killed. This what happened to this murderer. While I as a Jew never rejoice when people are killed, including our enemies, I am not going to sit shiv'ah for this murderer either.
23. OH MATTY!
LOGICBOY ,   JERSEY CITY, NJ   (04.26.10)
Matty , please don't try and hide your venemous hatred for Jews and Israel behind a fig leaf. I think you forgot to mention the BRAVE Hamas fighters hiding in hospitals,Schools, Mosques and Rat holes. When BRAVE Hamas fighters disguise themselves as Girl scouts , Cheerleaders and Ballerinas... its time to fight fire with fire

Ah Matty is back with his hatred, anger & one sidedness. Yitzchak, ignore Matty, he asks everyone the same questions he asked you.

We would obliterate you back, make no mistake! In the meantime, we will resist the theft of our nation by any means, even rocks and nails.

Eric Hoffer was one of the most influential American philosophers and free thinkers of the 20th Century. His books are still widely read and quoted today. Acclaimed for his thoughts on mass movements and fanaticism, Hoffer was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1983. Hopewell Publications awards the best in independent publishing across a wide range of categories, singling out the most thought provoking titles in books and short prose, on a yearly basis in honor of Eric Hoffer. Here is one of his columns from 1968 -- 42 years ago! Some things never change! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~ ISRAEL'S PECULIAR POSITION...by Eric Hoffer – Los Angeles Times 26/5/1968. The Jews are a peculiar people: things permitted to other nations are forbidden to the Jews. Other nations drive out thousands, even millions of people and there is no refugee problem. Russia did it, Poland and Czechoslovakia did it. Turkey threw out a million Greeks, and Algeria a million Frenchman. Indonesia threw out heaven knows how many Chinese and no one says a word about refugees. But in the case of Israel , the displaced Arabs have become eternal refugees. Everyone insists that Israel must take back every single one. Arnold Toynbee calls the displacement of the Arabs an atrocity greater than any committed by the Nazis. Other nations when victorious on the battlefield dictate peace terms. But when Israel is victorious, it must sue for peace. Everyone expects the Jews to be the only real Christians in this world. Other nations, when they are defeated, survive and recover but should Israel be defeated it would be destroyed. Had Nasser triumphed last June [1967], he would have wiped Israel off the map, and no one would have lifted a finger to save the Jews. No commitment to the Jews by any government, including our own, is worth the paper it is written on. There is a cry of outrage all over the world when people die in Vietnam or when two Blacks are executed in Rhodesia . But, when Hitler slaughtered Jews no one demonstrated against him. The Swedes, who were ready to break off diplomatic relations with America because of what we did in Vietnam , did not let out a peep when Hitler was slaughtering Jews. They sent Hitler choice iron ore, and ball bearings, and serviced his troops in Norway . The Jews are alone in the world. If Israel survives, it will be solely because of Jewish efforts. and Jewish resources. Yet at this moment, Israel is our only reliable and unconditional ally.

29. #19 LET ME ANSWER DIRECTLY
Yitzchak ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (04.26.10)
All is fair in war. And Israel is at war with the Palestineans. A war to the bitter end. I have no problem with any way that is utilized that guarantees the continuation of my people and my land - ALL of my land as dictated by the Bible. From the Dead Sea to the Med Sea. I am for any means to keep every centimeter of that Bible given territory. Is that direct enough?
30. here today, and gone tomorrow
Cameron ,   USA   (04.26.10)
He sounds like a bad piece of work. Good of Israeli security forces to finally track him down, and step on him.
