1. Dig a pit for Israel and YOU will fall into it !
The other friend   (04.27.10)
Its unbelievable : History shows clearly that fighting Israel is selfdestructive - but these fools never give up until they are addded to those in history who tried and failed ! I only worry about the innocent who will be affected due to the foolishness of their dictators !
2. I notice Turkey is closing herself
ghostq   (04.27.10)
to the west world in the last 3 months, but since this drill is held Nato probably seriously considering Turkey out, especialy over the cyprus up comeing election, I have a strong feeling that what's going to happen Israel is such a small ingredient compare to the other countries around, like greec and Bulgaria.
3. When?
Yitzchak ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (04.27.10)
When is Israel going to officially break ties with this vehemently anti-Israel Moslem country - Turkey? Sad that our no backbone leaders don't even have a tiny morsel of pride.
4. US should be worried as well as NATO
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & New York   (04.27.10)
Turkey could easily transfer prohibited US or Israeli technology to Syria that would end up with Iran.
5. Poor Turks
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (04.27.10)
Once the Turks were an important US and European ally. First the racist Europeans refused to accept the Turks as part of Europe, just because they were Muslims. Now the Turks see that the Americans will sacrifice everyone for the Arabs. They know that after Obama is finished with Israel, he will come for the Turks. They have no choice but to ally themselves with the Persians. and one note: the PKK was set up and funded by the Syrian Intelligence.

IS THIS THE KIND OF MUSLIM BUSINESS OBAMA IS PLANNING WITH AMERICAN SUPPORT?
10. All I write here even with humor turned to be facts today
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (04.27.10)
I wrote many talkbacks here for years and If you ever read and thought it was exaggaration years ago about joint exercises with Iran and Syria it now became a routine fact. I told then there is a divergence process between Israel and Turkey, Now I wrote here SOON TURKEY WILL REPLACE IRAN IN MIDDLE EAST CONFLICT WITH ISRAEL You will refuge to Iran from Turkey
11. Some of Israels most advanced missiles are built in Turkey
zionist forever   (04.27.10)
Israels Popeye air- ground missiles are built under licence in Turkey. Turkey has bought Israels Harop radar killing UAV and the Heron combat UAVS. Turkey has been signing all kinds of defense pacts with Iran, they cancal annual war games with Israel and instead for the first time ever hold them with Syria. We cannot trust Turkey or any other muslim state even if they do call themselves friend access to our advanced weapons. We must balance finance & security and Turkey has shown us that whilst they are willing to spend money here unless we can be sure that there is no chance of them falling into the hands of our enemies then we must put security first and reject the sale. Do we want a war with Syria where their pilots use Popeye missiles or a war with Hizbollah where they use truck mounted radar killing UAVS?
12. THANK YOU BO FOR MAKING THE ME SO MUCH MORE A POWDER KEG

in 1973 Israel batteled the combined forces of nato in strength aginst its Arab neighbors i dont think Turkey would want to go head to head against Israel.
15. defense minister
alexi   (04.27.10)
Barak worries about turkey transferring israeli military technology to syria in their budding relationship. He should have thought of that years ago when erdogan was showing his colors. Barak apparently didn't want to hit osiraq, he didn't want to hit the syrian reactor and he didn't want to hit ramallah after 2 idf soldiers were publically lynched. Moreover, he was effeminate in his response to west bank terror in the heart of israel. He did nothing. Either he is burned out from his commando days or he has turned yellow like olmert. Anyways, Yaalon is far superior to him and bibi should boot barak out of the coalition.Bibi won't do it because he is unsure of himself. Landau, vilnai, yaalon would be far superior to barak who has been a pain in the rear end and does not inspire fear in the heart of israel's enemies.
16. #14 Turkey know what Isreal knows
Sam   (04.27.10)
the only difference is that there a GOD in Isreal.
17. Why Don't They Bring These Issues Up In Nato?
Akiva ,   Maaleh Adumim   (04.27.10)
Turkey, a NATO country is consorting with a known terrorist country. Wouldn't the rest of the NATO members be able to put some pressure to bear? Why always go to D.C, a power on the way down?
18. re: US should be worried as well as NATO
itwaskaisersoze ,   US   (04.27.10)
I keep wondering why nobody talks about this possibility. As a member of NATO, Turkey could easily transfer weapons technology, protocols, and even intelligence to her new friends. Turkey is clearly moving away from the West. My question is: why aren't we talking about booting Turkey from NATO?
19. WHEN WILL YOU BELIEVE
marieisme ,   Nevada   (04.27.10)
your own prophets? Ezekiel foretold you would have your nation back. (Chapter37) In 1948 it came true! When all those around you attack, you won't be alone. Ez.38:14-23. I know you are weary, but G*D has not abandoned you and soon you will see with your own eyes that He does what he says He will do. And so will your enemies. Obama is nobody's saviour, God is! All who love you are still praying for the peace of Jerusalem.
20. #10 Tayfun
Hal ,   USA   (04.27.10)
Turkish comedian, I am still laughing at your Andy Kaufman routine. You are a wild man Tayfun !! So, I am not still laughing but wiping tears from my eyes. Look, Tayfun, you are a comedian bnut not a strategic thinker, yes? You sem to forget that Turkey has not fought a war for what, 93 years ? You lost badly in that war, remember funny man ? Unlike Turkey, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq have at one time or another been at war with Israel for the last 60 years. They, as you know, have lost their asses to Israel every time. It is not an iilusion you moron. I am now laughing again, Tayfun, comedian/media clown extraodinaire.
21. To #20 Hal
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (04.27.10)
Turkey did not fight for 93 years Turkey lost? You must be working in a circus as buffoon 1. Turkey defeated Western powers and end occupation of Anatolia in WW1-Turkish independece war was a sucess, if it was failure it would not be called "independence" war. 2. Before the WWII Adolf Hitler shied away from Turkey because Ataturk was still alive and rather acted friendly as war with Turkey would cost them dear. 3. Turkey took part some Nato Mission and Korean war 4. Turkey took Cyprus back 5. Turkey lost more than 30 000 people during last 20 years and Turkish army is ready for anything. You do not know History, You do not know military capabilities of countries and you do not know anything else but that is normal for a clown in circus.
22. Unfortunately, no real basis for Turkey-Israel friendship
Arik Silverman ,   Milwaukee USA   (04.27.10)
As a Muslim country (despite the attempts of its military and constitution to keep it secular), Turkey's natural affinity is with other Muslim countries. With the Soviets gone it probably doesn't need NATO or other Western protection, and so lacks incentive from those places to be friendly to Israel. Consequentially, its dealings with Israel in the future will be strictly business.
23. if you have a strategic vision
sam ,   colorado   (04.27.10)
I think it must be for Israel to understand and why has changed of Turkey? the blame does not fall on Turkey alone but the blame on Israel too can would have been to looking forward whom around and not only to look under their feet, the arabs have made peace treaty and What is Israel done of this Treaty has dropped behind her back, this Israeli intransigence it grew the hatred at the Arab states even some European countries that supported Israel in past they saying that Israel is threatening world peace, it is not surprising that only Turkey to turns, As long as Israel does not want to listen to the language of reason will find in future many are turning against Israel, but no one of you think why those shifting you look to the USA searching about in the first her interests and will do not prefer to benefit Israel up on her interests, lastly you must understand that the force and military can not to be protect forever We have seen the war in Lebanon could be a small force to confront a large force and prevent them from victory (The Peace is the real solution in order to stay) if you have a strategic vision
24. To#21
Bridget ,   Toronto   (04.28.10)
Tayfum, it is not Turkey that defeated the Western powers but Ataturk's army with the great help of the Kurds. Without their bravery and heroic help, Turkey would not exist today. And what today's Turks are doing to The Kurds? They persecute them instead of thanking them. Tayfum, Hitler did not shied away from Turkey because Ataturk was alive, but because he used Turkish Banks to deposit stolen gold from Jews whom the Nazi Germany exterminated during the Holocaust. Tayfum, Turkey did not took Cyprus back. Rather, it was such arranged by Kissinger and the British, so that the Turkish army occupies the Northern part of Cyprus for a given period of time, now under consideration if Turkey wants to join the European Union.
25. #21 Circus Boy from Ottoman Empire
Hal ,   USA   (04.28.10)
Hey clownfish, settle down. Turkey capitulated to the western powers suffering many war dead, civilian and military. Turkey came into WW1 on the side of the big loser, Germany, shocking, eh Tayfun. Where did you learn your version of world history, in Turkish comic books? Your war of Independence was a civil action to end the Ottoman Empire and make Attaturk a reality. By the way Tayfun, there is a blog on Google that says Kemal Attatuk was a secrey Jew and that his move to make Turkey a more secular country was because of his hidden Jewish motives. You know, Tayfun, how the Jews are always working to defeat Islam and all that noise. But, I digress. So we are talking all out war or something hmmmm Tayfun? Because if you are my deluded punching bag, your vaunted Turkish military's biggest move since sending some brigades to Korea, is against your own govts. Stop fantasizng Tayfun, compared to the modern warfare capabilities and a history of winning that Israel posesses in abundance ( thanks to Arab illusion ), Turkey has no serious battlefield experience since Korea. The Turkish Army will never allow itself to go to war with Israel. With all of the purges of Turkish generals going on, it would create a civil war in Turkey before the people will allow Erdogon and Ahmadinejad to suck Turkey into the abyss and you know this so stop playing the fool with intelligent people. But again I digress. You then go on to say that I do not know mkiliotary capabilities, and you do? I have been reading your posts for some time Tayfun and I find them to be mostly childish attempts at having an opinion. Your lack of knowledge and facts is staggering. Further, you cannot grasp the difference between all out war and a coup-detat? I guess they leave out the details in your Turkish comic books. There is a fundimerntal difference in the two that even you can understand if you study it for a while. Lastly, you denounce me as a clown in the circus. Nothing more creative or original? Since you mentioned that it is normal for a clown in the circus, I suppose that my original labeling of you as a comedian/ clown was because I somehow knew that you had a possible professional grasp on what is normal for clowns in the circus. Bravo Hal, sorry Tayfun but you lose!
