Tell me Ameer, why do Arabs get Mecca, Medina, -and- Jerusalem, but Israel should not have even their most Holy site? If you want to talk about FAIR, then take your first most holy site Mecca, you have the entire city, the entire country yes?, AND Medina. How can you say to the Jews that Jerusalem belongs to you also? It is not even mentioned one single time in your Koran. Don't talk to me about rights, until the Jewish people have the right to their own Temple.

...When Egypt made peace with Israel was seeking to destroy Israel. When Jordan made with Israel was seeking to destroy Israel. When Arafat signed Oslo agreement he was seeking to destroy Israel. When Abbas signed Alsharm Alsheik agreement he was seeking to destroy Israel. When 22 Arab States signed the Saudi peace plan for full recognition including full economical and political ties with Israel are seeking to destroy Israel?.... Yes, to all those questions! Listen what the FM of Egyt and the King of Jordan have said recently. (Israel is an enemy and Jordan only lost since there is "peace".) They simple want to get as much as possible without fight! The rest they will take by force later on. That's all.
35. #24-We control every single thing..
Janice Cohen ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.28.10)

39. great article Dan
Hilda ,   USA   (04.28.10)
Thank G-d for people like you Dan. Your devotion to an Yisrael is noted. But what can we expect from our first Muslim president? l We can only hope and pray is that he will be a one termer and the only one.
40. obama ......
sjoerd van der velde ,   hoorn-the netherland   (04.28.10)
obama is not able to mediate well in the israeli-palestinian conflict, because he first thinks of the u.s. interests, as he has ever said. every country thinks first at its own interests. this can better be done by an independant, impartial, neutral, unbiased, interestsless, objective united nations!
41. obama listening
ed ,   reno, usa   (04.28.10)
obama doesn't listen to his own people so why should you expect him to listen to the truth about Israel. he has proved over and over that he believes bowing down to the muslims is right. he is a leader who talks power but if you look closely you will see he has a bow but no arrows.
42. # 19 Judah, as an American, I embarrassed by my President
Marge Christiansen ,   Portland, ME U.S.A.   (04.28.10)
for whom I naively voted and tried to convince others to vote. I shall certainly not repeat this gravest mistake I have made in my political activism in and for the Democratic party, and I apologize for the people of Israel for it. By the way, I am not a Jew and neither is my husband. But both of us are principled and honest people and only now we realize that we have failed. Please, forgive us. Sincerely, Margaret M. Christiansen
43. One mistake
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (04.28.10)
Calic made one mistake. He says that Obama seems to believe that the obstacle to the peace process is Jewish construction. Obama believes that the obstacle to the peace process is Israeli existence.
44. Listening? No, O admin interfering in Israeli politics

46. Your letter
Barack Obama ,   P Ave. Washington   (04.28.10)
Mr Calic. Thank you for your letter and let me correct you on one very important point, I don't believe that construction of homes in east Jerusalem is the central obstacle to moving the peace process rather I believe it is people like you that are the main obstacle. By rejecting international law you are also rejecting the framework on which a lasting peace will be founded upon. If you are concerned about Israel losing a Jewish majority then you should really look at the wisdom of establishing such a small country in a region which has been dominated by Muslims for centuries. There is really little point in complaining that Israel is surrounded by 22 Arab countries when it was your own bad decision to set up shop in that neighborhood. Regardless of any past mistakes please understand that I am trying to make a purse out of a sow's ear and I would call upon you, as a true blooded American, to follow the example set by the Israeli Prime Minister and complete a set of conditions before you can be taken seriously. Security for Israel is important for the security of the United States and as you know the latter is paramount in my mind. I will continue to ensure Israel is security however you must give up this silly idea that Israel has a blank check to do what it wants. As Israel is a recipient of American taxpayers money there are certain conditions that must be adhered too and bombing helpless civilians is a big no-no. Thanks again for your letter; it is always nice to hear from such loyal Americans looking out for American interests. Warmly, BHO

48. Obama looks for quick solutions to solve his Muslim problems
Sam ,   Canada   (04.28.10)
Obama and his advisers thought that with some heavy handiness they could ram through a Palestinian-Israel agreement and solve their Muslim problems and save their troops. Obama takes it for granted that Palestinians will accept a Jewish state in an end solution so he sees Israel as the obstacle. People in the West are perplexed and can't get it through their skulls that there is no solution because the Palestinians can't accept a Jewish Israel. The Palestinians feel that there is no need to compromise because population numbers are on their side and they will eventually prevail.
49. Marge, you and hubby move to Israel, we don't need you...
Michael Hess ,   Charlotte, NC   (04.28.10)
...just go. The rest of us are no longer wondering "why do they hate us?" - we now know. They hate us because the US blindly supports Israel's Apartheid out of control corrupt government that is stealing land and resources from the Palestinians and threatening various countries in the region. President Obama is now correcting that, my wife and I proudly voted for him in 2008 and we will proudly vote again for him in 2012 when he is reelected.
50. the only thing wrong with this letter is....
Gedalyah ,   Israel   (04.28.10)
president hussein wont ever read it.
51. Nice article, but he has no interest in listening.
Michael   (04.28.10)
President Barack Hussein Obama doesn't even care what Americans' think of healthcare. Why should he care about a tiny country's attitude. It is time for Bibi to respectfully decline the foreign aid from the U.S. After 62 years the time is now for Israel to act for itself by opening its markets. Israel economy is one of the better economies weathering the global recession why not leverage it. if Israel does declines the foreign aid and opens its markets (internally to others in Israe)l. That will get someone in the obama administration to start listening.
52. Another Israeli whine
Mikesailor ,   Miami, FL   (04.28.10)
"Oh, the world especially Obama doesn't understand us. We only want to build in East Jerusalem (and the West Bank and the Golan etc. etc.-no matter if the land belongs to someone else, the Jews have a right to everything in sight). And we want the Diaspora and the US government to pay us for the privilege of our expansion." If he attempts to impose any restrictions on us, he must be antisemitic and hate the Jews. If he points out that Israel has become its own worst enemy, he must really hate the Jews. The whining of the intellectually dishonest and morally degenerate is incessant. They believe that any action of Israel, no matter how illegal or immoral must be approved because, and only because, the perpetrators are Jewish and the vistims are not. I deplore antisemitism because true antisemitism is based on the premise that who you are, i.e. a Jew is dispositive as to true justice. Yet, I continually hear the refrain from Israeli Jews and their apologists that who you are, i.e. a non-Jew, a Palestinian, a Jew who is not a zionist, is dispositive as to the message of tolerance and justice. This 'reverse antisemitism' perpetrated by Israeli Jews and their supporters should go by its proper names: bigotry and racism.
53. Michael Hess, Marge is right! I am also an American who
Richard A. James II ,   Atlanta, GA U.S.A.   (04.28.10)
feels that who needs to apologize to the Jewish people for having brought Obama on their - and our own - heads. Israel has been the most loyal ally of the U.S. and has contributed so much to us. Yet, Obama has chosen to follow the thinking of his mentor, Rev. Wright, instead of the American common sense. I you don't appreciate Marge's point, it is OK and legitimate, but to consider her a "traitor" to America just because she, a non-Jewish woman, feels bad about her President, is pathetic if not idiotic and possibly both.
54. Mr. Barack Obama @ 46, neighborhood is not the problem.
leo ,   usa   (04.28.10)
Problem is you who keeps feeding these 22 beligerent neighbors of Israel unreachable dream. When you will stop medling (and it goes for each and every former and future POTUS) Israelis and Arabs will find the way all by themselves. Remember the rule - "one cannot make horse drink a water".
55. #8 You hit the point
berlonski ,   berlin   (04.28.10)
JDK, I think you hit the point here. Why all this talking and chatting and babbling about peace, negotiations, two states for two people? If it is true what Dan Clic writes, he should say loudly and clearly: All the land should be Israeli/Jewish, and the Palestinians should live there as 2nd class people or go elsewhere. In my eyes that's a horror scenario, but at least it is honestly spoken.
56. Richard James, you go with her...
Michael Hess ,   Charlotte, NC   (04.28.10)
...we don't need either of you here. Israel has a very short window of time to create a viable state of Palestine. A very short time. If it does not happen within the next couple of years, there will be one Apartheid state, shunned by the world, and plagued by violence. Go live there! This is what the wingnuts have brought Israel to. There is almost no chance that Israel will make the right decision because of people like you, therefore you and yours should go live their so you can enjoy the seething cauldron of violence that the new One State of Israel will be.
57. to 54
nadia ,   amman -jordan   (04.28.10)
but you can prevent the horse from drinking ..and here is the fatal problem to the horse .the danger is to keep people thirsty by force ...
58. to 55
nana ,   ramalla   (04.28.10)
it must be true then to be honostly spoken ... Sr. you said if it is true ???i said it is not true nor honedtly spoken ...... how to be suspected about it and then it is honestly spoken
59. Leo - Unreachable dream?
Barack Obama ,   P Ave. Washington   (04.28.10)
Just keep repeating this several times a day Leo – “yes we can”. BHO
60. Wishful thinking
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (04.28.10)
Anyone who thinks that there can be peace with people who teach their children nothing but hatred against Jews, is just plain stupid.
