You are a naive, as naive can be. So why isn't Iran letting inspections? Why did they hide this? They could have had the UN assisting Iran, but they chose to not tell anybody, why? You are so dumb, you are embarrassing to be a Canadian. I know you don't speak for all Canadians, cause all Canadians are smart, so what happened to you?
6. My dear George

Dont make me lough with your so called name George. It stings a real name like Abdurrahman , right?
7. #5 Why has israel hidden its nuclear facilities??
Peter ,   Vienna-Austria   (05.03.10)
if israel has the rights to nukes, then every country in the region, including iran gets to have them. Applying double standards would only put you in a bad position.

As a ex-Canuck myself I remember the political arguements that I used to have at University of Waterloo where I attended. There are quite a few Canadians(and I do not only mean Canadian Muslims) who are anti-America and anti-Israel. Recently Ann Coulter, a conservative commentator from America, was not even allowed to speak at a university in Ottawa.
10. Iran threatens the whole world.
JO   (05.03.10)
Who knows if Israel has nukes? No one. But what is known is the funding and backing of Islamic jihadi groups by Iran- all hate Israel, kill Jews with gloried glee (civilians too), want Israel's destruction...etc etc. Not to mention Mr Ad very own words and speeches on record. Who feels threatened more??
11. Serves them right
Noa ,   Beer Sheva, Israel   (05.03.10)
Why let him into the country as if he wasn´t a lunatic and a threat to world peace? Why ignore his hostility? Now he had a good laugh at the expense of the West. I really hope he´ll get accompanied to the airport by a few guys with tennis rackets....

13. George is correct
Wanda ,   Montreal   (05.03.10)
Iran is in full compliance, and as co-signee to the NPT, the US is even obligated to assist. Instead it has broadcast flagrant mistruths about the situation in the ME. Broadcasts that were designed only to appeal to Zionists (read: not Israelis, but Zionists).
14. bomb the bastard. why ONLY 3 countries walking out?? Ridicu
Jae ,   Lynn USA   (05.03.10)
15. #7 Wrong again, Peter
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (05.03.10)
Israel never signed the NPT, that's why she may or may not have nukes. However, all those other countries in the ME that you're referring to did sign, including Iran. That's the difference, Mr Clever Clogs

18. #15 thats no excuse and you know it.
Peter ,   Vienna-Austria   (05.04.10)
The US is also part of the NPT and has nukes. So does China and Russia.
19. To Donnald Duck #5
George ,   Canada   (05.04.10)
Iran is not letting the UN inspection?! The Iranian nuclear facilities are monitored 24/24 hours by the International Atomic Energy Agency IAEA and all the technical calculations prove that Iran is far away from making a nuclear bomb if there is a political decision for that. Adding that there is no political decision from the Iranian side to make a bomb ( this is from US intelligence source), all your non based allegations are just politically motivated without any prove. You already dragged US to war in Iraq with falsificated intelligence reports, this won’t work any more .Alas it fired back, you get ride of Saddam but get stronger opponent ,Iran in reward. You cannot make American soldiers die for Israeli cause and you sit watching a side. The only country on the Earth that shut up and do not speak about inspection is Israel with its 200 nuclear bombs without any monitoring signature or treaty.

You are a funny girl. Don't you know by now that when an Arab country is afraid, they say stuff like "They will cut off the Legs" or they will say "we'll cut off the head" It's just another way of saying we are really afraid, but we will try to fight back. hehehehehe

25. LEGITIMATE QUESTION...
Jeff ,   Philadelphia   (05.04.10)
I have always tended to be extremely pro-Israel, but I have still literally never been presented with a single convincing argument explaining how it isn't a blatant double standard for the US and EU to be going berserk every time Iran is "possibly violating their NPT obligations" while at the exact same time totally ignoring the fact that Israel has the largest undeclared covert nuclear weapons program on the planet... Things to consider prior to answering: 1) please do not try the "no one really does know for sure whether Israel truly has nukes, so the question really doesn't have to be answered anyway" argument... we all know this is total bs. 2) please do not try the "because Israel is a democracy and Iran isn't" argument when there is obviously ample historical evidence that democracies will be just as likely to start wars and to brutally kill people as anyone else will be (notable examples: hitler was democratically elected Chancellor of Germany in 1933, both the president of the USA and the president of the CSA were democratically elected prior to them embarking on a civil war that wound up killing 650,000 people from 1861-1865, the only country to ever use a nuclear weapon was the US, etc...). 3) not many people really buy the argument that it's apparently because "Iran is a messianic country that would have no problem with being totally blown off the face of the earth in retaliation for its actions." It has been reported that even barak and livni have privately acknowledged (albeit somewhat discretely) that while it is obviously (rightly) the undisputed goal to prevent Iranian nuclearization, that it would nonetheless still be deterrable in the event of actually getting the bomb. 4) Follow-up on #3: Mao Zedong literally stated point-blank that he "wouldn't mind if 300 million Chinese got annihilated if it meant spreading communist ideology," and sure enough, even he turned out to be deterrable... 5) Please do not try "it is because Iran has lied to the UN over the nuclear program." They have only ever been obligated to disclose anything because of their membership in the NPT... If they were to literally do exactly what Israel has done and just not sign the NPT to avoid ever having to disclose anything to begin with, (thus totally precluding ever having to hide anything from UN inspectors), would there no longer be an problem?? Somehow I don't think so... Please note that I'm not saying this stuff to "accuse Israel" of anything... I'm saying it as someone who strongly supports Israel and is beginning to get increasingly concerned that we really don't seem to have any legitimate or convincing answers on this, and we probably are going to need to...
26. Peter from Vienna - no double standard there
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (05.04.10)
There are about 5 million Israeli Jews and about 15 Million total Jews al around the world. Israel is surrounded bu about 100 million Arabs hostile to the mere existence of a Jewish state in the ME. There are over 1 BILLION Muslims who share the same hostility towards Israel. Additionally Iran's president has been very forthcoming in expressing his feelings about wiping out Israel from the map. Considering all of these serious threats, for Israel hav9ing nuclear power is a deterrent. On the other hand for Iran with Ahmedinejad as the leader to have nuclear power is an existential threat for Israel ( considering Ahmedinejad's wishes to wipe out Israel) Guten nacht herr Peter von Vienna.
27. #18 Do I have to spell it out for you?
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (05.04.10)
US, Russia and China had nukes before the NPT came into being. Duh We're really shining tonight, aren't we?
28. Jeff at 25
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (05.04.10)
Firstly, thanks for your general support of Israel. Your valid concern is not easily addressed. Maybe there's an unwritten understanding between Israel, the US, France, Britain, Russia and China that Israel is very responsible with her deterrence. I think that in a hypothetical scenario ie arming Arabs and not Jews would lead to 'no Jews'. Arming Jews and not Arabs would not lead to 'no Arabs' Arabs in Israel, believe me, have it good. Where are the Jews in today's Arab lands? It's a cultural thing...power in the wrong hands is...well,dangerous.
29. Israel never threatened to annihilate any people or any ...
Ron B. ,   Lod   (05.04.10)
Israel never threatened to annihilate any people or any country. An irrational nuclear Iran in the region is not conceivable. A stable nuclear balance of power/balance of terror in the Middle East would be out of the question (nuclear proliferation in the M.E. could never create the same sort of stable equilibrium that was once obtained between the USA and USSR). ISRAEL MUST REMAIN THE REGION’S ONLY NUCLEAR POWER. Moreover, Iran’s program should not become a powerful proliferation driver, building on regional rivalry security concerns and one-upmanship. Remember   (05.04.10)
Yes may be there was as you say , only 3 countries left the audience, but these 3 are most respectfull ones. Remember when your country wanted to be admitted to Europe, no one agreed, no one friend. And now you found new friends like Iran and Syria. Many mistakes for a so-called intelligent country.
