Israel was in the making back in 1880....the Balfour Agreement back in 1922 solidified the location and right of the present State of Israel. 1948 was simply an Intl vote and acceptance of Israel...a legitimization that very, very few other countries enjoy...include every Arab one which is essentially illegal. So, forget the "4000 year old" story and consider plain intl law...which again, still legitimizes Israel as it proves both the ownership and the Arabs non-ownership of the land in question. Plus, I believe it was the Arabs who are trying to push the narrative of "ancient homeland" though they widely admit to stealing it in the 7th century anyway.
