America?, well it has it's hands full in the UN and abroad. The new President is the equivalent of 2 Jimmy Carter ........ !It's effectiveness on the battlefield, its days of glory, dissipated. ..Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon, Somalia, Afghanistan .....! Today a cheap rocket or missile can disable or worse a 5-10 billion $ carrier with a few thousand men aboard. Instead of holding on to friends, this administration is concentrating on Syria, Libya, Lebanon, Fatah, and a few other rough spots, discarding it's best friend and asset, Israel. They are other powerful players who would be interested in a rapprochement, a closer relationship with us. Our leaders should pursue these alternatives and gradually curtail somewhat it's shuttle to Washington and look for new routes to prosperity and survival.

I think you've misread the intent. The point is that the United States is the most powerful country in the world. Arguably, the world's only super-power. The trick is in learning when and how to wield that power properly. Isolationism was not the answer in the 20s and 30s, and it certainly isn't now. Keep in mind that the world has gotten very small and crowded, and there are many people in the world who do not wish us well. Turning away from them or appeasing them is not the answer. Crushing them is.
