31. Are Palestinians really so ignorant about us?
Serge ,   Montreal, Canada   (05.13.10)
I am somewhat amazed by all of these talkbacks by Palestinians who think that we ought to have been trundled off to Uganda, a place that is not our historic homeland and means nothing to the Jewish people. Do they really not get who we are and where we are from, after all this time? Or, then, perhaps they would like to follow their own suggestion and, say, establish a homeland in the Australian outback? It is just silly.

Jerusalem is not mentioned even once in the Torah and Moses never mentioned at all?

We know that Abraham was born and came from Ur, Babylonia to Canaan. So, why it is silly that ought to have Israelis trundled off to Uganda or to New York. Sure some Israelis were here once and for how long? so as others.

I don't know quite how to break this to you, but Moses and the Torah predate Jerusalem. Jerusalem is the "City of David." You have to start looking at citations from that point on. Jerusalem is mentioned in the Bible on no fewer than 1,000 occasions. How many mentions in the Qu'uran? I'll tell you. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Not one.

"I'm sorry but it really takes a not very brilliant person to conclude from my comments that I"m anti Israel." Agreed. You ARE anti-Israel. Next?
36. Amin Thre The Israelis Out
Muna ,   Kampala, uganda   (05.13.10)
I find it had to believe that anyone would expect a people from thousands of miles away from another continent to be easily accepted as citizens of another country place. The Uganda you are talking of was already occupied by its natives who, though were under British rule, were in 1948 only 14 years away from independence. Notably, President Idi Amin in 1972 expelled Israelis who were living and working in Uganda. And "Hamas" in Uganda? Well, Uganda has had its own share of violence and insurrection over the last 50 years and there is no guarantee the
37. Uganda?
Charlie ,   Tel Aviv   (05.13.10)
Do you really think that non-Africans would have been accepted, especially after independence in Ghana? You would have been seen as colonizers . All your dreams would have gone the way of those of other whites in Africa.

Yes, but the Kingdom of Judah and the Kingdom of Israel date back several thousand years. Israel is our heritage. We were forcibly evicted; we did not leave by choice. No matter where in the Diaspora we were, Jews have always prayed for Jerusalem, remembered Jerusalem and longed to return. And, thank G-d, we have returned, and it is ours once again. No one's taking it away, ever. You can count on that. The Palestinians are, of course, free to return to their ancient homeland -- that would be the Hejaz in Western Arabia.

yonah ,   Tel Aviv   (05.13.10)
If they want half of our holiest site then we get half of theirs. It's only fair, or are we asking too much for an equitable solution???
40. Get your facts straight
Don Rosenberg ,   Palatine, USA   (05.13.10)
#1 & #2. Our Jewish history is well documented. Jews have lived in Israel for 3000 years. Our rebirth in 1948 should be common sense except for racist gentiles who believe Jews should have no home and be under the foot of gentiles. To this I say " Go to HELL" if you don't like it.
