maybe the INF will nto have the guts but the IDF will have the guts. Who the h.. do you think the Turks are, a country that invented Genocide by murdering 1,5 million Christian Armenians !, expelling millions of Greeks , etc etc. Tell The Turks to clean their house before they make stupid accusations !!, tell the big heroes to ask the Egyptians regarding the blockade !!!.
4. Erdogan's logic ??
joe   (05.11.10)
It's the pinnacle of hypocrisy for a Turkish PM to play the " j'accuse ", when his own country is on the front burner in many countries and organizations for the Armenian past, the current Cyprus, Kurds. It's also sheer "Hutzpah" from his Govt to acquire weapons from the " Israeli war machine ". We all know that his huge army needs as much as he can get, in order to protect his country from " aggression ". I looked at the map. and I'll be damned if I know which country it might be.
5. MAYBE ERDOGSAN CAN FORCE HAMAS INTO HUMANITY...

8. #1, Good advice from your arm chair
reality check ,   zion   (05.11.10)
turkey continues to incite the middle east but for what purpose is unknown. Clearly erdogen wants to be seen as a big time muslim supporter but all he has done is alienate europe's political elites who supported turkey's admission to the eu but are now backing away. tyical turkish stupidity, not knowing the smart move. this is the same stupidity that put them on the losing side in 2 world wars. erdogen can stay at home and suck up to iran and syria all he wants. all that does is leave his country isloated in the west as a poltical pyriah. turkey can no longer be trusted to be on the side of logic and fairness, it is now the defender of the muslim axis of evil ... syria, iran, lebanon, hamas and hezbollah. Alot of good that does for the palestinians. Anyway, the jerks sailing to gaza will fail and embarass turkey in the process. in the end erdogen will make some nasty speech but who cares ... his opinion means nothing other than a cheap headline. Reality is that the turks have nothing to offer and they have puked on themsleves in the process, right now their only friends are radical islamic states. When the turks realize that ... the ottoman empire is nothing more than a bad memory and today's turkey is nothing more than a 2 bit state desparately tring to be relevent. And get those turkish women veils, please.

David Israel ,   New York, USA   (05.11.10)
With poverty and unemployemnt on the rise in Turkey while many banks are owned by troubled Greeks Erdogan has more then enough in his plate before it comes to Israel and Arabs Not to mention the serious issues with the Kurd, Alevi and Roman minorities. But now that Deniz Baykal is in trouble what can happen in the next elections? It is very troubling for Turkey. Mert Hoscakal.
12. PM Erdogan SUPPORTED ISRAEL to enter to OECD
Tayfun_Turkey ,   Istanbul   (05.11.10)
Turkish PM Erdogan's fight with Israel is showy and not real behind the doors AKP and ERDOGAN is supporter of ISRAEL. Israel could not enter to OECD unless ERDOGAN ALLOWED Those GAZA help and all other speeches against Israel was not sincere but only hunting Muslim votes in Turkey ERDOGAN AND AKP IS FRIEND OF ISRAEL This OECD issue will be in your front during election in Turkey!!!!
13. "break the oppressive siege"
American ,   Los Angeles,US   (05.11.10)
break the oppressive siege of the armenian land and turks to pay reparations for 1.5 million armenians killed by them during the Armenian genocide.

we shoudl organize a delivery of special items to the Kurdish people being persecuted and some times murdered by the Turkish government
15. Turkey's current campaign to demonize Israel
Ron B ,   Lod   (05.11.10)
Turkish leaders have always taken a pro-Palestinian and anti-Israeli stance however it has been recently discovered that Turkey has launched a vicious campaign to demonize Israel. No one should miss this video: http://tinyurl.com/6hcg3b
16. Calumnies and cheap arguments
London man ,   London UK   (05.11.10)
The PM of Turkey supports the breaking of the blocade. Reactions: 1) it isn't really a blocade 2) Turkey committed genocide 3) Send weapons to the Kurds All a bit ridiculous isn't it. 1) It is a blocade, it has been imposed by the government of Israel, so what point trying to argue against reality? 2) Actually it was the predecessor state, the Ottoman Empire, which committed the atrocities, and not the secular state founded by Ataturk. 2a) If you are going to criticise every state which committed historical wrongs (surprising how people don't criticise the history of states which support Israel), then the USA needs to be there pretty much at the top. However, as the USA has blindly supported Israel over the years, it strikes me as strange how many right-wing Israelis manage, somehow to overlook America's genocidal past. 3) What a retrograde reaction. A government issues a statement which you think is not friendly, so the reaction becomes "send weapons to the Kurds". Thus, by the same logic, people who are opposed to Israeli expropriations and demolitions should start writing "send weapons to Hizbullah"? Sometimes the people who think they are the greatest friends of Israel are actually its worst liability.
17. To London Man, #16
Michael ,   New York   (05.11.10)
This is laughable coming from a Brit, which were and are the worst offenders of human rights ever anywhere in the world. Your nation colonized a good chunk of it and treated the local and indigenous people like garbage, and you think you have a right to criticize Israel and the US? Brits are hated by every colony they have ever owned. To wit, one of the largest, India.
18. Erdogan
Ram ,   London   (05.11.10)
This guy is either too clever for mere mortals to understand or stupid beyond belief. For decades Turkey has been benefiting from its alliance with Israel. It is beyond doubt that the quality of its military power has been enhanced no end by Israel's training and technological contribution. The souring of the relationship will only weaken it. The extreme islamisation of Turkey's population does not bode it well in it's endeavour to join the European Community, a factor that will undoubtedly weaken the tourism industry in time. As we all know, Turkey is heavily reliant on tourism. Israel has already stopped supplying Turkey with up to date technology as it no longer trusts it not pass it on to Syria and Iran. We live in turbulent times!
19. to London Man
sohnes ,   ludwigsburg, germany   (05.11.10)
The New Turks have not committed the genocide, that's a fact. You implicate, they have nothing to do with such a thing. So why don't they have normal relations to Armenia until today?
20. hahaha - Turkey lectures Israel on human rights
William ,   Israel   (05.11.10)
"We must force Israel to lift the siege on Gaza and respect human rights as a condition for its acceptance into any international organization," Erdogan said. Yet - they insist they are a model of human rights while trying to gain inclusion into the EU. How many Kurds did you kill in Iraq last week?
21. Tayfun_Turkey @ 12, Erdogan had no choice.
leo ,   usa   (05.11.10)
BS yourself, not us.
22. erdogan and gaza
alexi   (05.11.10)
erdogan delusional lies continue. He is a blowtorch of modern jihad., The sooner basburg gets to his senses and gets rid of AK jsutice party,t he better. Erdogan has ruined Turkey. And Olmert, the so called genius with no combat experience due to some injury used this moron's office to give away golan to the butcher of damascus. Chosen people my rear end. Olmert made so many concessions, he makes chamberlain look like a war hero.Ehud barak is not far behind with his stupid uninspired comments. IDF has no confidence in barak,t hey follow ashkenazi and thank god. The sooner barak is booted out of defense,t he better for israel. He and Olmert have been disasters, absolute disasters.
23. #16 - Turkey has plenty of current atrocities
William ,   Israel   (05.11.10)
1) theft of land from Cyprus and an on-going occupation 2) theft of land from Syria and an on-going occupation 3) public support for a terrorist group who committed war crimes. Infact, Turkey's leader not only justifies these war crimes, but find them acceptable. 4) targeting a minority (kurds) in Turkey and across a sovereign border in Iraq. 5) Stealing water from Iraq by damming rivers leading to the Euphrates, causing a drought in areas around Baghdad and southward 6) heavy suppression of anyone who criticizes the country of Turkey, including the Armenian Genocide which you claim current Turkey is not involved in. If not, why not discuss it - it's not the current country's problem, right? and that's only the stuff I remember.
24. #12 - if so, why not ask Hamas to accept Israel?
William ,   Israel   (05.11.10)
So far, Turkey has shown its support for Hamas and its war crimes, against Israelis AND Gazans. But they never even asked Hamas to do the one thing that could lift the siege - end the tension and accept Israel as its neighbor, with borders to be determined through negotiations. Hamas also stated publicly that it would never, ever accept Israel in any form, nor Jews in the region, and will continue its war crimes. Apparently, what you claim as benign is actually a very Islamist sentiment - that Jews must be ethnically cleansed, and war crimes are justified to that end. BTW - Turkey wouldn't have a good argument NOT to accept Israel into OECD without making themselves look like racists. The facts were all in Israel's favor.
25. to #20 - you are so clever
TruthSeeker ,   The World   (05.11.10)
indeed ... how many terrorists do Turkey eliminate last week? .. as many as possible hopefully ... you seem to have forgotten (although probably only because it's convenient for you now) that the Kurdish resistance movement has been officially designated a terrorist organisation by the USA (your big friend and supporter - yes, even with it's current BLACK (black I say!) and probably muslim (although he does hide it well doesn't he?) president ... did I mention he's black? probably why you guys don't like him much. The EU and other countries also all designated them as terrorists .. I am sure even your government thinks they are terrorists .... then again, the Israeli gov thinks everybody who disagrees with them are terrorists .. I guess I am too now? .... so what now? you think they are not terrorists? or do you think they are? .. c'mon .. choose, bad or not bad? .. quick .. quick .. too late, you've just been bombed ... :) .. watta shame, so much promise for that little racist brain of yours ...
26. Truth seeker - since you are seeking the truth
David Israel ,   New York, USA   (05.11.10)
Officially Israel also considers the PKK a terrorist organization similar to Hamas. This is why Israel supported Turkey in the fight against PKK in the past by providing intelligence, the capture of PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan, modernizing Turkish fighter jets and tanks at a time when USA and Germany would not do it without Turkey agreeing that they would not be used against PKK and early 2009 lending unmanned aircraft to Turkey with the Israeli staff to operate them against PKK. Israel has been and still is a good ally to Turkey while the AKP government has been a hostile ally (sounds like an oxymoron but a fact).
27. #17 and criticism of Israel
London man ,   London, UK   (05.11.10)
Actually, if you read my post #16 I did not criticize Israel. I made comments about the way peope were reacting in a tribal manner to the article. That makes me wonder why the diatribe about Britain. It makes me think you didn't understand the purport of my original note, to which I would add this dreadful habit of many tbers of second-guessing the nationality of a writer and then dismissing him because he is a) British, b) Australian, c) anything at all
28. he sucks
Deniz ,   Istanbul Turkey   (05.13.10)
He should look at his country's problems first. It's not his business. 35% elected him, but the remaining 65% is sick of him. We are against wars but we are aware that Arabs are tyring to get credit from us (that they don't deserve) using the religion. They backstabbed us when Ottoman Empire was failing. Now what is it they are after for? Not fair.
29. Propaganda and delusion
Musa ,   Istanbul   (05.13.10)
Israelis should stop being so delusional and their we-know-all attitude of propaganda against Turkey. More than %95 of what the commentators says here are, but either the result of complete ignorance or provocations. We clearly do not care about you, and if you try anything stupid (i.e. targeting a Turkish ship), you will face the consequences.
30. :: #29 You are a shining example of threats Islamic style
Matty Groves ,   Fairport   (05.24.10)
If Israel sets its eyes on a target it hits it hard, beware of who you are talking to. This is in reply to your Jihadi threat
