1. Lula, Chamberlain of the 21st century
Flavio ,   Sao Paulo, Brazil   (05.18.10)
There's no charisma enough to compensate for a poor education and for a megalomaniacal streak. Our pathetic President deserv the Nobel Prize for naivete, shame on him and on everyone who's helping Iran to buy so much needed time towards making an A bomb!
2. Indeed
Shahab _ 6   (05.18.10)
It is very meaningful to Iran... Whenever Iran is getting close to one bomb but for agreement. So some .. people may get somewaht excited.
3. The Deal.
k1w1 ,   NZ   (05.18.10)
This sort of opinion, that Iran is acting in bad faith and is guilty no matter what deal is reached with them, is arrant nonsense. Unfortunately, it is also the opinion of Washington, and it just goes to show that the US has never been serious about reaching a diplomatic solution. There is also a belief that nothing will work unless the US and the EU is involved, and they’ll be smarting that they’ve been marginalised by Russia and China. As I’ve have posted elsewhere, this deal will go through and, although it’s not the solution Israel and the West want, there’s nothing they can about it.
4. Iran never rengeged on the agreement that it accepted...
Persian CAT   (05.18.10)
IN PRINCIPLE! What is author is missing is the fact that Iran was never offered iron-clad guaranty that its LEU would not be stolen by the west or the Israelis. The fact is Iran has been has kept its agreement but sought ways to ensure its property would not be looted by its enemies. Since that objective has been achieve thus the agreement.
5. The Iranians are addicted to the bomb
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (05.18.10)
Turkey and Brazil try to provide a smokescreen for Irans nuke program. Why are they doing so ? The Turks are Muslims and the Brazilians are retards who still want to poke in the eye of the civilized world, because they feel themselves as the victims of the colonialists. This unhealthy alliance of pariah states would be delighted to the extreme, if it could bring out a nuke for one of its own and to show to the bad western states how powerfull the third world is going to be. These alliance of madmen knows no responsibilty to keep the world a safe place and their idiotic deal should be ignored completely. The Iranians are addicted to the bomb and must be cured from their madness through DECISIVE MILITARY ACTION...only the complete WIPE OUT of all of their ILLEGAL nuclear installations will secure the peace...

7. Iran's - "get home free" nuke card
DT ,   TA Israel   (05.18.10)
New bed fellows in another "Axis of Evil" . Lula, Ahmadinejad, Erdogan -where is Chavez ?
8. Such talk cannot be dismissed as the ravings of a madman.
Ron B. ,   Lod   (05.18.10)
Ahmadinejad has openly called for the destruction of the State of Israel, hosting a conference called “The World Without Zionism” in October of 2005. Iran’s president, who vocally denies the Nazi genocide against the Jews during the Holocaust, has referred to the Jewish State as “criminal,” “a disease,” and “a dead rat,” and issued a statement on Israel’s 60th anniversary of independence, saying, “Those who think they can revive the stinking corpse of the usurping and fake Israeli regime by throwing a birthday party are seriously mistaken. Today, the reason for the Zionist regime’s existence is questioned, and this regime is on its way to annihilation.” More about Mahmoud Ahmadinejad threat to Israel at : http://xrl.us/ormpg
9. Last Tango in Tehran
Cynthia ,   USA   (05.18.10)
Did Ahmadinejad really think anyone would take his charade seriously? Companies continue to pull out of Iran and sanctions will proceed.
10. #2 Judgement
Bluff 100   (05.18.10)
Iran has nothing, everything is in shambles. the country, economy, people, regime, military programs. Only crude old methods are still working there, like stealing elections with impunity, corruption at the very top, moral degradation, beatings, torturing, rapings, stonnings and hangings of innocents.
11. ITS GREAT THAT THE GOD (C.C) CREATED TURKS FOR WORLD.
ATİLLA KARAGÖZOĞLU   (05.18.10)
12. Cynthia, it may not be obvious to you, but...
Persian CAT   (05.18.10)
all 118 countries of the Non-Aligned Nations (NAM) and many other countries take Iran very seriously. A FEW companies have announced they are not going to seek "future contracts" in Iran. Iran can well afford to "lose" their business because there are many more companies lining up to take it. After all "the world" has not forgotten that Iran has the second largest proven reserves of natural gas after Russia and it is the second oil producer in OPEC. Eat your heart out.
13. #10 Bluff, then it's safe to assume that...
Persian CAT   (05.18.10)
Iran is NOT your favorite vacation spot! What a loss the nation!
14. #13 It is good that UR happy with backward Iran
Bluff 100   (05.18.10)
Even with crude methods they can do a lot of damage and only damage If you are satisfied with the state of affairs for Iranians who can argue with you on your country, Dictator and Supreme Villain's misdeeds Go for it!
15. bluff admits Iran is no threat at all, heh heh...
Michael Hess ,   Charlotte, NC   (05.18.10)
16. (Israel=garbage) #10 Bluff
Person ,   Place   (05.19.10)
It sounds like you're talking about Israel. Go pray in an Iranian synogoge before dribbling out nonsense. Iran is the most advance (non-wellfare) state in the Middle East. And it's a genuine country, not a minor fabrication stolen from some poor farmers.
17. #12 Hi Kitty
Cynthia ,   USA   (05.19.10)
The 118 Non-Aligned Nations are not helping Iran's economy are they? And the list of companies pulling out of Iran grows in anticipation of UN and US sanctions. Iran is not the only game in town. Doing business with Iran may become quite costly as companies face fines and penalties for doing business with Iran.
18. #11 LOL, and what exactly did Turks give Humanıty ?
Yosi   (05.19.10)
Other than long conquests, and a failed Middleeast after the collapse of Ottoman Empire ?
19. Persian Kitty !
Yosi   (05.19.10)
Are you really happy to see Iran and its great culture to be hijacked by Fundamentalists and religious zealots ? Are you happy to see your nation get poor and Republican Guards get rich ? Iran is getting more and more isolated from the world because of its religious fantasies and seeking another holocaust.
20. Oil & Dollars v. Nuclear Ambitions.
k1w1 ,   NZ   (05.20.10)
The US isn’t concerned about Iran’s nuclear ambitions. Why should they be concerned? Besides the Ayatollah’s fatwa against Iran possessing nuclear weapons, Iran is nowhere near obtaining a viable nuclear weapon, and other, less stable countries have them without drawing the same aggressive attention from the US. Unlike those other countries, however, Iran has vast supplies of oil and natural gas, and, like Saddam, they have said they will sell their oil for euros rather than US dollars. Because the USA can't print euros, like they can dollars, they would have to produce and export products to get the euros to buy the oil they so desperately need with only another 20-30 yrs before the stuff is all gone. However, without much of a manufacturing sector anymore (other countries make the things that are invented in US, like TV technology, VCR, integrated chips, etc., even F-16s), the US doesn't have anything to sell. Even its natural resources have been locked up in conservation land to be used as collateral for the $15trillion (and rising [more that $1trillion deficit this year alone]) debt it owes. This has nothing to do with Iran’s nuclear ambitions. The US wants the world to buy and sell oil with US dollars and they will do whatever they must to ensure that continues to happen - as Saddam and Iraq discovered.
