1. What peace partners
dabosshog ,   jewland   (05.18.10)
Isn't it time stop with the nonsense idea that the so-called palis are peace partners? What a fing Joke this whole world is. I wish as a people we wake up and start loving ourselves more then our enemies. it is time to tell the world "You might not like us but you suffer more without us"
2. It is time to Jail those who employ Palestinians
Judd Rusnak ,   Sydney   (05.18.10)
As a counter measure, it is time to jail and fine all those who employ, transport, house, etc., Palestinians and who attempt to benefit from any work performed by the Palestinians in Israel proper. May be that will teach the Palestinians to THINK as they are not capable of doing so.
3. a good idea ...
david ,   new york   (05.18.10)
allow into the PA ONLY products made in the judea and samaria. that way the palestinains could choose whether they want to follow the boycott or whether they prefer to eat.

6. Fayyad is an economist. Why such a short-sighted misstep?
William ,   Israel   (05.18.10)
First, I would like to see the list of products and absolute proof that they were made in "occupied territories". I believe quite the opposite - that it's the majority of Israeli products and the ban underscores the belief by "Palestinians" that all of Israel is "occupied territory". Second...boycott with bolster "Pal" economy? Not likely. In order to replace an accepted product, you need both the supply and the quality to meet the demands. One of the reasons West Bank Arabs bought Israeli products was because the local version wasn't always available and was sub-par quality. Their wallets did the talking. Third, "$200m bought annually - prefer to see this money go to "Palestinians" - Dumbass - part of the money DOES go to West Bank Arabs, in the form of paychecks which they claim is more than any other employment option in the West Bank. The "Pals" complain of the same problems the Jordanians complain of - Israel's higher quality, lower cost products hurting their economy. If their leaders are so worried about their economy - why not invest the billions in aid money that go mostly to the despotic leadership??
7. Israel, cease employing Arabs from the territories all
Albert ,   Paris, France   (05.18.10)
together, at once! Israel, cease acquiring all agricultural produce from the territories, at once!
8. Thanks for the laugh!!!
Chuck ,   US   (05.18.10)
"People have become accustomed to Israeli products that mortally wound us, and prefer them to Palestinian products, even if they are always more expensive and for the most part of a lesser quality," ENOUGH SAID LOL!!
9. Palestinians benefit by working with Israel, but won't
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (05.18.10)
Arabs who a century ago migrated into "Palestine" chose to settle close to the Jews rather than in strictly Arab settlements. Smart choice, because they did better by working for and with Jews and trading with them. Similarly, during the early years of the "occupation" (1967-1987) Arabs in the territories did extraordinarily well. Israel built up the neglected infrastructure, tens of thousands of Arabs worked for and traded with Israel. There were no checkpoints. Everyone benefited. But today it appears they'd rather live a second rate existence than work with Jews. Their loss.
10. In this case Israel should ban sale of 100% of
leo ,   usa   (05.18.10)
its products and services to Palestinian settlements and boycott 100% of products produced in Palestinian settlements. What goes around, comes around.
11. what if we reciprocated?
ralph   (05.18.10)
12. I wish them the best of luck.
Bartley Kulp ,   Afulla, Israel   (05.18.10)
We will see if they can cost effectively manufacture those same items. Also create all of those jobs that will be lost to those individuals currently employed by Israelis. Also while we are at it we need to put a big import tax on all Palestinian goods including produce. We should have no more trade agreements with the Palestinian authority. This would also include usage of our ports for imports and exports and thus taking advantage of Israeli trade agreements internationally. They should forge their own way. I wish them the best of luck.
13. Plenty of counter measures
Adam Smith ,   Ta   (05.18.10)
Stop the use of Israeli ports to bring in or out Palestinian goods. Drastically cut the number of workers allowed into '48 Israel. Stop all cooperation on Jenin industrial zone.
14. Its not the Battle of Algiers or Withdrawal from the Raj

17. Hmm, that's one good way to get........
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (05.18.10)
.....rid of the competition. Will the Palestinians 'do without' or are there equivalent substitutes? Check the shareholders of the companies supplying the 'new recommended brands'. This naturally helps the 'peace process'.....not.
18. No peace. No war. Just more occupation
Janice Cohen ,   ירושלים   (05.18.10)
19. THIS IS PURE HATE PROPAGANDA... IT WILL FAIL MISERABLY...
stude ham   (05.18.10)
the pali regime is just too corrupt to make this work to the benefit of their people.
20. To Israel: Turn This Monster Around
Dav Lev ,   Burbank. CAUSA   (05.18.10)
And this is what the Arabs call peace, sure! This is a precursor of things to come if there is another state created. They demand the 67 borders and removal of 300,000 Jews. They demand E. (not W?), Jerusalem now. They demand an army and treaties with other countries. 200m is just the tip of the iceberg. What they are doing slowly is smothering Israel. They are occupying W. Palestine in fact. Israel should make it a law (and enforce it), to punish anyone buying from Jews. To Israel: turn this thing around..or they will turn you around.
21. Abbas Regrets : terror has not been a successful tactic …
Ron B. ,   Lod   (05.18.10)
Some of those eager to cast Abbas as a "moderate" point to his criticism of the terror war launched by Arafat in September, 2000, and of current Palestinian terror. But Abbas's criticism has consistently been that the terror has not been a successful tactic; he has not criticized either its immorality or its goals. At the same time he has on various occasions praised those engaged in the terror. And he rejects Israel's right of self-defense against the terror. Virtually every time Israel has responded by targeting rocket-launching crews or those involved in recruiting, training and dispatching suicide bombers, Abbas has not only condemned the Israeli response, but characterized it in the most extreme, hyperbolic terms, as "mass murder" or "crimes against humanity." As to historical facts : http://xrl.us/bjcgn
22. Please don't stop there
Gail   (05.18.10)
the PA should also boycott our Hospitals and medications..how about our roads and public places.. and everywhere "settlers" work and anyone or any company that hires settlers" WOW now that will be great. PA maybe you should also include a list of what you consider a settlement, is Jerusalem also included? What about a "settler" who owns a business in TA is his business products also boycotted? what Israel can't do for them selves (because the whole world will get upset with us) let the PA do it for us. Isn't it funny that when Israel does not allow the entrance of something to the PA the whole world goes crazy and Israel is sooo bad. Please don't stop there boycott everything and get lost. It is nice to know that you can cope on your own and do not need us to support or feed your people anymore. P.S ..PA are you not aware that most of the labor in the "settlements" as everywhere in Israel is Arab, so by boycotting you are shooting your brothers in the foot ...Gandhi would never of done that.
23. Items Probably Not Listed
JS ,   USA   (05.18.10)
While they are at it, they should ban: 1) The internet 2) Cell phones 3) Use of drip irrigation 4) Electronics - particularly computers - which run on Intel processors 5) A vast array of key modern medical technologies Among other things.
24. There is a "Buycott" list on dkatom.com

There is a movement to STRENGTHEN the local economy in Yesha by means of suporting samll and large businesses on www.dkatom.com
25. Gail, let me tell you the sad reality...
Michael Hess ,   Charlotte, NC   (05.18.10)
...you see, Israel "belligerently" occupies the West Bank, and illegally occupies East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights as well as still, by its own admission, occupies Gaza. And economic boycott on the part of the occupied has no bearing whatsoever on Israel's *legal* responsibilities as the occupying power. I now return you to the regular disinformation you so obviously are used to...
26. Kudos to the PA
Wael ,   Ramallah, Palestine   (05.18.10)
Palestinian industry needs to be fostered, and this is an effective strategy which hits two birds with one stone. First, the settlements are illegal under international law so their products are also illegal. Second, the total boycott of settlements are also a fast-track, political and non-violent means to say NO to their expansion and continued presence from a legal perspective. I agree with Raed, this is one of the first clear and workable PA plans.
27. that means their forge industry will be hurt as
ghostq   (05.18.10)
well, lol good, very good.
28. let them also boycot
(05.18.10)

29. For the time being, the economies of
Robert Haymond ,   Israel&Canada   (05.18.10)
Israel and the possible future state of Palestine in the Westbank should be separated. Once a two-state solution is (hopefully) achieved, then we can become genuine trading partners. In the meantime, an economic boycott is legal and it's many steps up from suicide bombing and other forms of terrorism.
30. Boycott
Israeli Jew ,   Israel   (05.18.10)
LET THEM BOYCOTT OUR HOSPITALS AND KUPAT CHOLIM TOO!!!
