in 1948 thier residents left their homes peacefull after being asked by the IDF. They were promissed to return shortly after, but up till this day never allowed to. In 1977, Menachem Begin promised to return the families, and in that spirit, in 1998, then-justice minister Tzachi Hanegbi recommended to the Netanyahu government that "no obstacles should be placed in the way of the return of the evacuees in the spirit of the Libai and Klugman recommendations. The churches still stand in the tow villages up till today..

Musicians from Palestine contributed to the renaissance of Arab music and in the professional dance in musical theater long ago, for example ,Salvador Arnita, Badi Paul, Sabri Sharif, Marwan Jarrar, Wadah Haddad,Mohammed Ghazi, who was to entrusted with training Fairuz to take a classic and the singing of stanzas,and i can't forget Sabra and Shatila son ,Jihad Akl,who today is best violinist in the whole region this is just the tip of the iceberg.
