Funny you bring up the figure of 78%. That was the amount of territory carved out of British-Palestine (mandated as the Jewish national home) and given to the Arabs. The Palestinian-Arab state of Jordan is occupying that land. The remaining 22% is held by the Palestinian-Jewish state of Israel. But regardless of international "law", the land that Israel controls is historically Jewish and always belonged to the Jewish nation. Any regime ruling that land, other than a Jewish regime, is an occupying regime.
32. Nas-gave up 78% already!

Sorry, but the two state solution is not a concession. The United Nations mandated that in 1947-it was the Arabs who refused to abide by the decision. A true concession would be to acknowledge the right of the Jewish People to a Jewish State in the Land of Israel, or to release Gilad Shalit. Either one would prove to the Israelis that there really is a partner for peace.

yes, compensation for refugees is ok. however, when all arab nations comoensate the one million jewish refugees they kicked and tortured, murdered, hanged and whose homes and bank accounts and riches and land and businesses, tha arab leaders confiscated. then, when these leaders and muslim nations pay retribution to the million jews they expelled after 1948 from every muslim nation in which they preceded even islam, then, we can consider israel paying compensation for these "palestinian refugees". after all, none of the one million jews expelled from arab lands where israel absorbed them and helped them, ever received a single penny from the united nation and no anrwa was set up for them for 62 years. the "palestinian refugees" have been under anrwa for 62 years now and all their descendants as well. close to 5 million arabs to total. hundreds of billions in free aid from the eu, the usa and less from other muslim countries, free food, free education (mostly propaganda and hate education), free everything was given to all of them. yet, they have zero to show for it except leaders that dress in suits, terror specialists, holocaust deniers, thugs in european lofers AND MAGNIFICENT VILLAS AND BAK ACCOUNTS LOADED WITH MILLION DOLLARS and NOTHING FOR THE AVERAGE "PALESTINIAN REFUGEE" IN TERMS OF STANDARD OF LIVING, INFRASTRUCTURE, ECONOMY, CIVIL SOCIETY, INSTITUTION BUILDING, ETC... thugs, all of them. thugs and terrorists. i feel pity for them. real shameful. hameed aboughaze, iranian
34. #28 Why aren't you commenting on the Hebrew site?
Sam ,   Canada   (05.22.10)
You are living in Israel. Aren't you capable of speaking and writing Hebrew? Why are you commenting here? This is an international site where anyone can comment. Canadians decide in Canada and Israelis decide in Israel. Everyone, however, is allowed to comment.

and never allow him in politics again. He is one of Palestine's worst burdens, doing more harm than good.

Poster Number 25 has got it right.. You're the one with reverse peristalsis. The whole of the British Mandate for Palestine was destined for us Jews. The Jews have been making the concessions all along for a lasting peace. Give you a finger ....you want the hand....give you the hand ..you want the whole arm..... Sad and true. The time has come to simply give you...the one finger salute.

While Potash is correct to state that a lot of "armchair" Generals from the U.S. are saying very hawkish things, what will happen if the Palestinians decide to scuttle the "2 States for 2 People", and diplomatically push for a single state for everyone? What happens when the world, including the U.S. decides to push for that outcome? Israel is a small country with or without the territory. Israel will never live in total peace. The majority of Palestinians will not give up the illusion of destroying Israel. So what? Israel needs to wake up to the demographic time bomb, with 20% of it's citizens being a potential hostile fifth column, and realize that unless the Palestinians are given something that first, they can lose, and second, help build the Palestinian economy up enough to give incentive to Israel's Arab Citizens to either move to Palestine, or at the very least, let them remain in Israel, but with Palestinian citizenship. If the Palestinians do not agree with this, which they probably will not, Israel has to unilaterally make this decision, finish the wall, and move forward. As a Jew and a Zionist, the most important thing is for Israel to remain a Jewish State for all eternity. If Israel needs more land, they can reclaim the land from the mediterranean, or build something like they did in Dubai. I have always been a hawk, but I now realize that Israel cannot sustain the status quo forever.
