You Turkeys don't like Israel to have nukes? OK, go in and take them away - or just shut up.

You haters are so gullible. Like hungry dogs you'll leap even at a piece of tainted meat. Israel cut its military ties with SA in 1981 - you think they would have been so quick to sell them nukes just a few years earlier? Ah, but you so want to believe that Israel is eeeeeeevil you'll jump at any report, no matter how questionable, to shout, "You see!" Even when the US wanted Israel to pass weaponry over to Iran in the 1980s as part of the guns-for-hostages deal, Israel passed on old, defective stuff. They knew how dangerous Iran was, even then. And they were going to pass nukes on to SA? And how convenient that now that those who want to paint Israel as an apartheid state now have this "report".

You conveniently overlook the fact that it was Arab oil that was helping to keep the apartheid regime in power. Not only that, but if there were ever governments that most closely resembled apartheid South Africa, it's the Muslim countries with their repression of minorities.
37. whats the information source?

CHOMSKY MAYBE ? Publishing a book doesn't make it fact. What are the authors sources and who is the author and their political background? Men like Chomsky amongst the scholars and anti Israel groups are very popular and his books are taken as fact, nobody asks how reliable are his sources. So is the author another Chomsky or is he actually not another Israel basher and his sources are reliable. As for the Gaurdian that paper is traditionally very anti Israel so its never worth taking any notice of them. As for the claims Israel was certainly a good friend with South Africa and the did cooperate on many military products including missile technology. Its also believed that Israel did test a Jericho missile with a nuke over the Indian Ocean from South Africa not non of that is selling nuclear warheads. I know Israel doesn't have the best record of selling military products to questionable countries but there is a differnce between doing something like selling the designs of Lavi to China and selling a nuclear warhead.

Interestingly despite the denials from the President's office they tried mighty hard to keep these papers classified. Interestingly the same article suggests that the Shah of Iran at the same time enquired about buying nuclear weapons from Israel.
