1. For once, I agree, to an extent...
Alison ,   Akko, Israel   (05.30.10)
When I saw this ad, I thought not about the Kotel being used as a commercial tool, but the immodesty of the girl's clothing. tank top? I don't dress religiously, but when at the kotel, I respect the rules and the holiness of the site (covering shoulders, etc). A little bit more attention should have been paid to the details of the ad.
2. "Irked"
Raptor   (05.30.10)
whenever I see an ad depicting a Haredi, or indeed just a Haredi.
3. Irked?
Arielush ,   Ramat Ha Golan   (05.30.10)
So what !!! I'm irked : when I see strong young men begging in the street instead of working. When they push their way to the head of any queue. because they treat 50 % of this country like second rate citizens. because they exploit and take and never give back. Let them be irked. Mashbir doesn't need their custom because they live on charity anyway.
4. Yea seriously, who cares...haredim are the worst
Dudley Hershkovitz ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (05.30.10)
5. Well, the Muslims are offended over
Israelit ,   Israel   (05.30.10)
images of their prophet, so of couse the Charadim have to find an excuse to make trouble as well. Next: rioting at the Western Wall, all Non-Haredi will be banned from access to the site.
6. Thank you charidim for the FREE publicity !
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (05.30.10)
That's what Hamashbir could say !
7. When I see them, hear them, I am irked.
joe   (05.30.10)
Haredim irked, and Mashbir complied ; islamic thugs irked. and the brits complied, Islamic UN irked, and Obama complied. And the saga continues. I am retired but, I am certain that I'll live to see the Islamization of Europe, the Uk, and America ??"Qui vivra, verra"
8. so it's not the one offering prayers at the wall for money
JO   (05.30.10)
I found that offensive- forty days of sponsored prayers on your behalf for a "donation"
9. what's the issue?
DB ,   Jerusalem   (05.30.10)
not sure what the problem is. so, a company used the image of the kotel, did they have their photo shot there, are they advocating its defilement...? rabbi rabinowitz needs to spend more time attracting ALL of am yisrael to visit (and pray at) the kotel instead of making it the sole domain of the haredim.
10. "Arielush", is it you again? Those haredim make you angry?
m   (05.31.10)
There is nothing sacred with us seculars, why would we care about a bunch of stones? If they show good with a few half naked girls and it brings us money what do we care, eh, Arielush?
11. Who the hell nominated them???
Reno ,   Tel Aviv   (05.31.10)
Not all Jews agree with the opinions of these people. This country aspires to be a free country, and we as a people aspire to be better than the Arabs; however, if the company gives into this illegitimate demand posed by this radical few, then we will be no different than our neighbors in Gaza, who through rocks at innocent civilians, place sanctions and demands on the whole world like the Muhammed comics, blindly and mindlessly throw words like Nazi around in order to anger people that descended from survivor families and are even at this moment spreading this dogma around the world, giving all Jews a bad name. I ask simple questions that if answered, would shed light on the duality of the ultra orthodox faction's demands. I wonder how the Charedim in New York react when they see a comic of the Pope (or Jesus) making a fool (or a pervert) out of himself. Southpark has done it many times, and the American public seem to know how to enjoy it. We may not be America; however, i don't believe that the Jews who accept this behavior against non Jewish deities have any right to demand preferred treatment just because some clothing company posted a picture that merely looks like the Wailing Wall. After all, we aren't Muslims... Or are we?
12. Western Wall

If the bearded guys spent more time praying to their God, they would have far less time worrying about how someone dresses up a wall. If guys like this had loved and honored God, maybe the Roman Army just may have left Jerusalem be. Christ prophesied that Jerusalem would be destroyed, and that also meant the temple. Pray to God---don't worry about a wall. Then we have another bearded wonder trying to tell us that youth are violent because of a mom's career. I have news for that guy---maybe the kid fell in with a bunch of little Miss Muffets who are bullies--that the kid has a criminal predilection to start with, That just maybe, the bearded wonder is whistling dixie to the wind.
13. m, # 10 . Those stones are part of OUR History
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (05.31.10)
Secular or religious Jews alike . But to be "irked" because of this publicity , sad for those "people" who are .

15. really who cares

esthermiriam ,   washington, dc, usa   (06.01.10)
"...Western Wall Rabbi Shmuel Rabinovich said that the Western Wall is a place which connects between all parts of the Jewish people ..." Did he now? Apparently he has not noticed the abuse of women there, who simply wish to pray according to their custom.
