2. Draft declaration = stuff it...
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (05.26.10)
3. The world has focused on iran for far too long. Its time to
Peter ,   Vienna-Austria   (05.26.10)
Focus on israeli nukes and how close they were ending up in S.Africa. Now israel not only has the nukes, but is secretly offering them to other states. This is exactly what they fear in regards to irans nuclear program. How ironic. Once israel signs the NPT,I am pretty sure that a lot of issues regarding nuclear energy in the mid east would be resolved automatically. Until then,You have no credibility what so ever to discuss this issue. Simply,no one would by into double standards. In short: The world isn't as dumb as gods chosen believe they are.
4.  as long as countries
ghostq   (05.26.10)
who did sign it not respect and obay it. than noway Israel will sign it.
5. to #3 iran signed it but as you see she doesn't
ghostq   (05.26.10)
fill her obligations, breaching contract and doesn't penalty than the org or document worth nothing, simple isn't it.
6. #4 Perhaps israel can sign and lead the way as an example.
Peter ,   Vienna-Austria   (05.26.10)
And then others will follow.
7. Why sign something so meaningless?
Rob R ,   New York, NY   (05.26.10)
The fact that the body is calling out non-signatories and isn't focused on non-compliance of signatories demonstrates several factors: 1) This body and treaty are complete jokes - there is zero enforceability in the face of non-compliance 2) Iran continues to buy up votes around the world (ahem, Africa and LatAm), and then refocuses the dialogue away from them 3) Whomever is running Israel's foreign policy PR strategy should be removed - the fact that Iran has been able to aschew this and the timing of the SA story was no mistake It's all a joke at the end of the day, but at this stage I wouldn't be surprised if the grand irony is that this body would get their act together and enforce it on Israel. Too little, too late.
8. We have no nukes
Yossef ,   Rehovot, Israel   (05.26.10)
9. To 4 Peter
Reuben ,   Israel - Chosen son   (05.26.10)
For one thing, you are correct that we are the chosen people of God. So it would be better for you to follow us. Iran has always threatened to wipe out Israel. Israel has never threatened any country with war or genocide. Israel is fighting for its survival. But you are from Austria, Vienna. You will follow your forefathers who made a pact with the Nazi's to exterminate the jews. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
10. The sole reason Israel will not sign this treaty...
Brad ,   USA   (05.26.10)
If they sign the treaty, they will relinquish the nukes. They do not want that because they can expand as much as they want, without being afraid Arabs will join and crush them. Oh, and why the "ambiguity"? Why because USA sign that they will seize any financial support for countries that develop nuclear weapons! If Israel admits it has nukes, they loose money! So, Israel is sucking up the American taxpayers money while developing nuclear weapons - mind you, they are like this to their "friend". :)
11. #9 Say again??
Peter ,   Vienna-Austria   (05.26.10)
"For one thing, you are correct that we are the chosen people of God. So it would be better for you to follow us." In your dreams!!!!!!! and oh,please go sell this G-D's chosen people to the stupid ilk(like some people in south US,texas and so on). No one in Europe will take you seriously for that one.
12. to #11 actually the church in europe is very much
ghostq   (05.26.10)
suport of Israel, well except from the pagans aka catholics. Yeshua was jewish there for the people who turn their backs on him turn their backs on Yeshua, they r not chritians.
13. We dont need European support
To Peter 4 ,   Reuben - chosen son   (05.26.10)
Thats exactly what we are saying. Why in hell are you obsessed with us. Was it not enough for you that your forefathers murdered 7 million Jews & gypsies. We don't want to sell you or convince you our faith. We d not need the support of Europe so why are you so angry and obsessed with Israel.
14. #10 Brad
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (05.26.10)
Israel won't threaten you with ICBMs, but Iran definitively will.
15. Israel doesn't need nukes to fight Arabs
Reuben - chosen son   (05.26.10)
This the reply to Brad from USA Israel doesn't need nukes to fight Arabs, they tried together Syria, Lebanon, Jordan & Egypt in 1948 after Israel's independence. They did not suceed. Again in 1967, they lost. In all these years there was no US support to Israel. Israel doesn't need nuclear weapons to fight with Arabs. As far as the US tax payers money is concerned, did you know what the grant actually is. US doesn't pass over the money to Israel, it makes Israel buy weapons from US. This is so that all your defence industries keep growing. So in away it is US that is fueling war. US attacked Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, Korea, nuked Japan. And now they are the peacemakers.
16. You really don't know why most of the world is angry?
Robert ,   Brisbane, Australia   (05.26.10)
#13 "why are you so angry and obsessed with Israel?". Why is the world so angry with any country that treats others as an underclass? Because your people were doesn't justify you doing it. You people should know better.
17. NPT- international ineffectivness
DT ,   TA Israel   (05.26.10)
That says it all ! Israel should NEVER be part of such a body. A pity it is even in the UN
18. @GhostQ Chosen one my A#@. The church?
Peter ,   Vienna-Austria   (05.26.10)
Now that's a good joke. As if there are any "True" Christians left. I believe you have Europe mistaken for Alabama and Texas.
19. to #18 actually there r you just not among them :)
ghostq   (05.26.10)
